Guitar Bonedo is a great and best channel for discover and compare all kind of music equipment before buying it. Many thanks for Guitar Bonedo. Phil. from Dunkirk
Thanks for the review, sounds really cool. Please make a video by assembling a pedalboard with tonex, helix effects and adding pedals to them. It would be amazing. Thank you again for your work.
I am waiting for my replacement TONEX Pedal (this will be my 3rd pedal since March, when I purchased the first one. I love the pedal ... when it's working.
Loving the new style with a little spoken intro then straight to the no interruption demos. Mind you I loved the old style as well. Basically carry on doing what you’re doing 👍 One question, are the outputs balanced or unbalanced?
Thank you very much Duncan. We are happy you like our new style 🙏🏼 Regarding your question: The outputs in this unit are stereo and are delivering an unbalanced signal according to the units manual. I hope this helps you :) Have a nice day 🤘
How does it clean up with volume pot? I've been struggling to get that kinda universal rock sound from my GT1000 so that I could get away with for the entire gig (cover rock-band). Haven't been able yet. It doesn't seem to clean up properly for live use (in my experience and I'm just an amateur). I'm looking towards TONE X because it seems to me that good patches might sound right out of the box. What do you think? Thx!
The amp sounds are nice, there is though a high pitched noise which can be heard for several sound examples in the right channel (I am listening through headphones) : in all the first section with factory presets, less so in your own sounds. Hmmm?
Hi Chris, i didn´t notice any issues here. Of course this is also dependent on the gain and the gate settings, but i found nothing out of the ordinary. Cheers, Haiko (Bonedo)
would I be able to plug this pedal directly into my 1X12 Laney FRFR 400 watt Speaker ? I do this now with my Fractal FM3 and if the tonex works the same then I will sell my FM3 .
I have the same speaker but the 800 watt and use a HX Stomp. I love the Amp tones of the ToneX and prefer them to the Stomp, but I will use ToneX as an FX loop inside the Stomp so I can disable the Amps and cab of the Stomp and use it’s FX only and just use the ToneX Amps which sound so good. I also used to own a FM3/Kemper/QuadCortex and the ToneX IMO sound more real. I tried their free plugin and was blown away by the tone and the feel, hence why now I need the ToneX Pedal 🙂

Very nice tones. Have heard some great bass tones via the Tonex as well 🤙🏽
Another great video, that sound in this pedal.
Great demo as always. Love my Tonex!

@@GuitarBonedo thanks, that’s really helpful ( couldn’t get the manual online at the time) .
Great tones

When you had the Tonex into the the Amp Return of the 5150 was the Cab Sim in Tonex turned on or off?
The CAB light was off during that section.
Guitar Bonedo, please tell me how is the Power Amp in of Fender HRD to be used with Tonex Pedal? Is it sufficiently transparent?
Is there a noticeable latency when switching patches? Let’s say A is clean, then B is for crunch.
Did you find a answer for this ?

Wish I could get mine to sound like this. Best demos on UA-cam. How do you find the headphone connection? It seems pretty noisy to me.

Exchange the power supply with a noiseless version like e.g. from BOSS
Yes mine is noisy as well

Yeah why not just get a balanced out 1/4 to xlr or if you have a neutrik combi just use a mono instrument cable into the frfr

Is there a way to turn on/off effects?
You can independently turn off the noise gate, compressor and reverb yes.
