@@Gigamlat one day I found one on the spot left by an angler. Did two casts but the lure didn't work, it was turning to the side and not fishing properly. Went straight to the rubbish bin - keep your spots clean! ✌️ I use for Dentex the STX-58 great hook for heavy usage, I guess it will fit! 💪
@@maxdocken That is the point... the lure is meant to be retrieved fast with jerks, and the turning to the side is deliberate, with every jerk it should turn to the other side or straight. That way it imitates a fish on the run. It doesn't work on a straight retrieve at all, needs practice to make it work. I had a tuna pick up mine in midwater (thankfully it managed to spit after a 200 m run), and a friend had a big AJ on it... Anyways, tnx for the recommendation, gonna check the STX-58 dimensions, will they fit the same dimensions as the original ;)

I use Maria Rerice 100gr with ST46 hooks size 2/0.I catch a rock and after strong pulling the line whole hook was straight from the side.Rod is Zenaq Acurra H,line PE4 with 0.70 flouro leeder.I catch rocks from bottom often with much smaller lures and hooks, but i never have a straight hook, just line or leeder are cuted after strong pulling. The ST46 hooks are very bad and i will never buy them again.I preffer BKK and Vanfook.Owner i use it just to buy assist line and materials to tie my own montage of hooks.
@ hey man - you do a fatal mistake! Not the hook is the problem, the equipment you fish it with!!! The ST-46 is a MEDIUM HEAVY hook good for spinning for Seabass and low to medium power setups! Even with a good fish and that equipment the hook would open easily! When you fish heavy equipment like 100H Accura you have to fish heavy hooks as well. Such as Owner STX-58 or similar (heavy class hooks). Not the hook is bad, it's the way you use it bro. Im glad we talk about this to prevent loosing fish! Think about it and maybe watch the whole video 😉 Tight lines bro! Max
Well he would rather loose the lure than to see hook to straighten. I would see this as problem if he lost fish. But I would rather have weak point on the lure than on the line.
@@BlackMambaKO the setup should be put together in a way you don't loose fish either lures. If you choose your components carefully everything will be perfect and you land your dream fish.

I'm sure you used Gravity runner lures, I'm having trouble finding a good replacement hook for them. Any suggestions?

ST 46 is the most soft and bad hook i ever use.Even size of 2/0 are easy to become straight if catch the rocky bottom.

the fact for me is that ( st41) they rust easily

Tight lines Max
@@maxdocken In the classic way, I wash them with water in a warm environment to remove the moisture, maybe that batch was the problem
@ that works for me best: big bowl, water inside, all lures inside for half an hour, than dry for 6-8 hours on zewa paper. After all back in the box 👌
