I can't figure out how you only have 38 subscribers. These are great videos and this one in particular made me excited to do some snorkeling in October when I'm down in your direction (more in the caribbean, but still excited about seeing the undersea life). I also just watched some hurricane footage you put up. Glad you guys are OK.
I'm going there in a few months, and I'm looking to snorkel/freedive it. How much further out would it be to the natural reef with coral? From my research people say there are 3 reef layers, and the 3rd (furthest) is the best. But I'm not sure if it's feasible with currents/depth. I know going at slack tide is best.
There are three lines of reef you can get to from shore... but it depends on how comfortable you are in the water. I am not sure of the distance, but the good stuff begins about the distance of the pier (which is 928ft long to give you an idea). I have snorkeled out that far before... (make sure you have a dive flag), but I like to scuba dive it more... the depth can get around 20-25 feet if its high tide, and on busy summer weekends you can have a lot of boat and jet ski traffic. Some people like to use a kayak, then anchor and snorkel/free dive from that which is a great idea as well. Either way, the natural reef lines are a good distance out from the biorock reef. You go past a long distance of ruble reef that looks deeper... then it gets shallower and the larger limestone outcroppings begin. as you keep going, you will run into a sand patch... then the next line of reef. hope this helps
Impressed you knew the difference between a Queen Angel and Townsend Angel. Also, Black Angels are often mis labeled as French Angels in many videos.
You sure do make some of the best videos...
Thanks so much!

Thank you so much! I'm very curious to see what the hurricane did to some of our dive sites... especially down in the keys.
Dude, what’s this soundtrack? It’s pretty damn cool.
The "completely covered by the original hand placed corals - not by any limestone increase. Otherwise we would not see any attached corals at all?

How much further out than the biorock and artificial shipwreck

Thank you so much! Great info!
Where exactly is this and how far did you swim out?
Laudaerdale by The Sea, south of pier, 1st and 2nd buoy. If its sunny, there might be many other divers out there.
One inch per 100 years? What was he thinking? and why the slave music? Great video
