OH MY GOSH.... YOU are a Genius... I wanted to do this for my Acting Studio and give out to each student (for free)... but hated that super sharp line... This is GREAT... Thank YOU... YOU are a God-Send...
Thank goodness someone finally sees the seam... I e always been weird about seams on fabric Ron the point I won’t buy it if it’s not matched!!!! Tytytyty❤️
Beautiful work. I’m just starting my business and I do use fabric on my cups. Do u have any idea for lil boys cup to help cover up the seamless instead of ribbons?
Since you have so many popsicle sticks to go through before you switch to metal stir sticks (to reduce bubbles), you can let a stick dry with epoxy on it (scrape off the excess). This will seal the wood and then the next time you use it, it won't create all the bubbles. Great tutorial, especially the fussy cut seam.
This is the best tumbler tutorial I’ve seen!! Your camera angle is everything! Your attention to detail and helpful hints are amazing!! Thank you so much!!
I've been watching these tutorials of a few days now. Everyone says "Be sure to mix you epoxy well", you're the first one to explain the streaks. Thank you. Your cup looks awesome.
can plastic tumblers be used with epoxy? i know acrylic can but im not sure about the plastics.. I was gifted a huge lot of plastic tumblers and am just wondering.
U can put a thin book or note pad down to rest your hand on it while cutting around the rim so it can be even around and lifted enough to just cut both ends of fabric evenly off on both ends of the cup .
You did a great job making the video it was very informative and was easy to follow. What is the name of your shop and where do you sell your tumblers at?
This is fabulous! I have been thinking about buying the edge trimmer, but I didn’t want to spend the money with it having mixed reviews. I’m glad you shared your idea! I have watched so many tutorials for using fabric and yours makes the most sense to me. I love the template idea...cutting the excess at the seam is intimidating to me. Videos may be new to you, but your explanations are top notch. And I totally LOLd at your 10,000 popsicle sticks comment 😂
Thank you so much! I remember when I started how intimidating the whole fabric tumbler videos looked to me so I tried to make them as easy as possible for me. The templates also help me decide the best part of the fabric to be in the middle every time. It’s definitely saved fabric and time. Hopefully soon I’ll run out of popsicle sticks LOL
I am starting to make fabric tumblers and I have done a couple but the fabric is coming off i am adding 5 coats of mod podge and 5 coats of crystal bright does anyone know what can be the issue?
If you’re using crystalac products you’re not supposed to use modpodge. They have a special glitter glue that you can use that works with their products. That may be why you’re having issues with the fabric.
Hi. I loved this tutorial. What kind of fabric do you recommend for tumblers? Would you recommend also to buy the tumbler cut fabrics or not pre cut and cut it myself? Thank you
Hello! Thank you so much! For starters I definitely recommend cotton lycra fabric. Once you get the hang of it you can also use woven but there’s no stretch to that so it’s just a little harder to work with. If you can buy the fabric by the yard it’s definitely cheaper than tumbler cuts but if you only need one or two of that print then you can definitely just purchase the tumbler cuts.
@@CraftyyTwist Hi. Thank you so much for the information so helpful. Appreciate the time you took to reply means a lot. I been looking at Etsy and they have some variety but in tumbler cuts 9x14. I need to keep looking if there is other sites with more variety.
@@puertaamezquita8858 I purchase all my fabric from Facebook groups. If you have Facebook I highly recommend joining fabric groups there. Some of the good destash groups are “custom knit fabric BST” “Disney fabrics BST” “custom Disney fabric BST” you can find fabrics from lots of groups there and you can ask where the fabric is from. Some of my favorite fabric groups off the top of my head is “Backstitch Fabric” (that’s where this print came from) “HAPA fabrics” “Miss Mac Fabrics” “Oh So Pretty Custom Fabric” “MandM Fabric” “MK Designs”
In the beginning? Prepping the cup helps the fabric and glitter stick to the stainless steel. I sand after epoxy so I use less epoxy to cover the uneven areas of where the glitter is.
That means so much to me! I’m currently closed for the month of December but once I’m back open I can definitely do that for you. I offer a $5 off each fabric piece you send per cup.
Excellent tutorial thank you 😊

Great video!!! Thank you for also sharing how you trim the material at the bottom and top with the razor!!
You did a great job with that tumbler.
What an excellent video! Thank you so much for sharing this fussy cut technique. I can't wait to create my first seamless tumbler.
The BEST tutorial yet! Thank you so much! 💜
Very Very Helpful, thank you so much.. loved the video
Your makeshift blade is an excellent idea, you didn’t have to spend all that money buying that blade trimmer thank you!

I had trouble with my epoxy in the beginning because of the streaks.
Love this! Glad to see someone making use of popsicle sticks like I do!
I like the tip you showed on cleaning the top. I’ve never see anyone heat it up and the blade. Very helpful. Great job!!
This was so so helpful and you actually explain the reasoning behind things. I can't thank you enough!
This was GREAT!!! Thank you!!!

Yes it is from TGG! And thank you 💖 I’m trying to make other videos for here.

Do I have to use epoxy? Will dishwasher safe modpodge work. Or spray accrylic?
I love your homemade edge trimmer!
Thank you so much! You’re tutorial was a lot of help.... Great video!!!
Enjoyed your video. Thanks for sharing. You are so easy to understand. What fabric can you use?

@@CraftyyTwist thank you! do you happen to know the name of it?
It’s called ‘glitter glue’ and the company crystalac makes it. You can also use E6000 spray glue.
@@CraftyyTwist thank you!!!!
You’re welcome! Let me know if you have any other questions.
Where do you find a turner?
Can you use Brite Tone instead of epoxy? I get bad headaches using epoxy.
I actually just Ordered BT. I can make another video when I get the hang of it. It should get here this week.
@@CraftyyTwist Thank you. I look forward to learning from you.
I can't wait to use your technique!
How long did you let your 1st coat of epoxy cure before you sanded the edges?
I usually wait 18-24 hours. I’ve tried after 6 hours and it didn’t turn out well.
@@CraftyyTwist thank you for the information!
How long do u have to let it spin per each time u do epoxy?
On your video 5:48 when you laid down the fabric, mod podge it, you didn’t cut off the access you over lapped. You don’t see a hump/bump?
Can you tell me where you get your tumblers?? Thank you.
Which sand paper number do you use?
Hi Stephanie, I’ve never made these before, did you make the Turner or buy it?

What kind of fabric is this?
This one is cotton lycra.

Where do I find this style of fabric ?
This is from Backstitch Fabrics on Facebook.
Wow! Beautiful and good job 👏 👏👏 👍😍💗
Can we use any type of fabric?
beautyydee01 I use Cotton Lycra or woven.
Thank you for sharing ! How do you keep the glitter from spreading when adding the last layer of mod podge ?
where can I find the templet ?
I make the templates for each size. I have another video on how I make the templates, after you watch that if you have any questions let me know.
Perfection 😍
Great video. Will you please make one with Mod Podge method?
Why do you need to sand the cup?
In the beginning? Prepping the cup helps the fabric and glitter stick to the stainless steel. I sand after epoxy so I use less epoxy to cover the uneven areas of where the glitter is.
Stephanie thank you.
great video..im wondering though, what kind of profit can you make here, between the cost of the tumbler and then the amount of your time to make one
There’s some tumbler makers out there that make a lot from tumblers. This is mostly a hobby for me while I’m home with my son.
