You guys are making me so hungry! I've had all these species at one time or another and they are ball scrumptious. I believe my favorite is broiled bluefish! They pull like a freight train, and taste wonderful if eaten fresh! I used to catch some 3 or 4 pound blues on the Alabama Point jetty! Tons of fun! I'm 72 now, had a recent broken neck, so my jetty crawling days are over! But I'll still be at the pier or surf! Hi to Jay and Cypress!
Great series of videos. I really enjoy this change of pace, BUT having said this, I never get bored with any of your content. I miss Jay when she can't be there but she is always there in the heart. Love the passion you both have for fishing and the outdoors. Thanks for taking us along on everything. God bless all here.
Wow! A plethora of food from the water!!! This was so educational. I LOVE Whiting, but have never seen it LIVE. Always frozen and filleted in the store. Never saw or tasted a Pompano, all of the catches, sound of the rushing water, sun glistening, and don't forget the sting ray catch was so relaxing AND EXCITING! AWESOME VIDEO. AS USUAL. Thanks for sharing.
I’ve been to perdido too… You and Jay should go check out Flora Bama too. They have good food and try the flora bama jamma too…🤤 I saw that BnM silver cat rod…😉
Fishing in Florida in December with your family is one of my favorite things to do. Nice fish fry too. I will be leaving Colorado for our Florida home in 18 days. I can't wait to put on my shorts and tee shirts headed to the beach on my scooter. Fun times are had on the Gulf coast👍
You can go on the okaloosa pier at night and hammer those whitening in the first half of the pier that 2nd or 3rd trough is my best spot and that hole just past the gulfarium , I’ll catch these crappie here in Conway for ya 😂
For an Arkansas boy who fishes rivers and lakes you definitely Do know how to surf fish. I live in Corpus and I meet people constantly who don't have that type of luck. Including myself..
Great video! Think I might have found my next Florida vacation destination. 😎 That reminded me of Galverston surf fishing. We have caught Whiting there up to 20 inches long.
On the West Coast, Half Moon Bay, We have Whiting that we call "King Fish". Unfortunately they seem to often have allot of worms. I was wondering if that is the case on the East Coast too? We have other similar fish, but a large variety of fish here, you probably will not see on the East Coast.
I haven’t caught and cleaned enough to really know if they usually have worms but I haven’t heard anyone mention it while we are catching them down there!
So glad to hear that! We enjoyed our time down there and were worried that people might not enjoy our saltwater content. It was a blast catching some different fish than we are used to!
Love the video Cole. Sorry you didn't get a red bub. It was nice to have such a variety to fry up. Jay may not have been there fishing but she got the reward of eating them. Love and Respect
Going in February farther south in the gulf! Fish from jetty and beach, I’ll be ice fishing here first. Then in the warm weather down there it’s pretty cool
MAN did you get a workout doing all that catching!!! What a blast!! I lived in Port Salerno, on the Treasure Coast, for a year. Florida fishing is so awesome (minus the quadrillion seasons, sizes, differing ways to measure lengths), because, as you showed today, one never knows what one is going to catch. Every cast can bring a different species... and they ALL are great eating. I never had a Whiting, but have had everything else that you caught. Spanish Mackerel is awesome!!! As is Pompano!! Another species I caught was Look-down, or Moonfish fish... also excellent eating.
I have caught so many blue fish and hope to catch many more. Fantastic fighters, not my favorite to eat. You are using the same baits as I do. Great video Cole, God bless you guys
Hey Cole. Love your videos. Have you ever considered getting a head go pro? It seems we see mostly your hands reeling the fish in. A head set would let us see what you see. Just a suggestion.
I've had better luck keeping blues and pompino on the hook when using a spoon but replacing the treble hook with a 3 o circle hook. I love catching blues. I tried eating them at our last beach trip by frying them in a seasoned beer batter and they were delicious.
I fish on the outer banks the 2nd year we went we caught 53 whiting from 14 to 20 inches long and we sent them to the pier restaurant and they sent them back to us with hush puppies and a case of beer and all of us that fished for kings hade a feast when we WER done there wasn’t a pice of fish nor was any pups left one of the best meals I’ve ever eat
Wondering if wading out abit, to get further out? And..... I have not used braid for surf Casting. Thought it may cut your finger on casting?? New Zealand
Water was kind of cold and would have had to wade a good ways out to actually send the bait past the first sand bar. We picked a spot that had deep water close to us. We haven’t had any issues getting our hands cut surf casting with braid on spinning reels! The braid really helps with casting distance! In the summer we definitely wade out in the surf to make those extra long presentations! Thanks for watching!!!
I’m so glad you caught that lol otherwise I would have completely missed it. I’m working on editing the first intro out lol not sure how it got snuck in there twice. I must have edited this video late at night 😅
I prefer to eat more varieties of Saltwater fish than freshwater fish. My Favorite Saltwater fish to eat is Speckled Trout and I prefer Redfish over Flounder. I've eaten Smoked Whiting and I don't care for Mackerel but have never eaten the others you caught. You could have made this trip a family adventure Cole, come on now!
Hi Cole and Jay, and Little Cy.
Jay you are glowing. You are all looking great. Love the videos.
"FREDRICK" I Love IT! Fun to watch.
I'm jealous, you're living the life 💯👍
Always a great time fishing with you, buddy. Thanks for the shout outs!
The fish look so yummy !!!! love yaws vids... Merry Christmas !
Great fishing day
Enjoy enjoy!!
Dude don't shy away from using just a shrimp head. Some of the biggest spotted Trout I ever caught in Florida was on just a shrimp head.

Awesome! You just really have to wonder how those ocean species all evolved different! So many types!

I’ve been to perdido too… You and Jay should go check out Flora Bama too. They have good food and try the flora bama jamma too…🤤 I saw that BnM silver cat rod…😉
Pompano is one delicious fish.
If you gut the blue fish before you put it in the cooler the meat will stay firm try it
I absolutely love beach fishing can’t really do it anymore due to leg and back problems
Try broiling the whiting.
Fishing in Florida in December with your family is one of my favorite things to do.

Frederick the coolest on that shore. Everyone else..go home.

The majority of the saltwater fishing ive done has been in the surf. It took me a couple of trips to start figuring it out, but I really enjoy it!
Great video! Think I might have found my next Florida vacation destination. 😎 That reminded me of Galverston surf fishing. We have caught Whiting there up to 20 inches long.
We love the Perdido- Pensacola area! So many great places to check out in the area!

Hello Jay and Cole ! Nice fish catch and cook ! Have y'all had white trout ? They are better than specks
Love the video Cole. Sorry you didn't get a red bub. It was nice to have such a variety to fry up. Jay may not have been there fishing but she got the reward of eating them. Love and Respect
Ok, don't get mad, I like you both!!!
Jay and Cole, some one is texting me, and they said they are you?
Not us, it’s a scam! Please don’t communicate with them. The scammers have been getting out of hand recently. Sorry for the inconvenience
God new what he was doin
Flounder is my favorite.
Was hoping to get on some flounders this trip but we will have to save those for next time!
Go along the jetties using fiddler crab an catch you some sheep head
Going in February farther south in the gulf! Fish from jetty and beach, I’ll be ice fishing here first. Then in the warm weather down there it’s pretty cool

Nothing in the cooler was illegal but bland had to double check several things to make sure nothing was haha
“Jesus, Take the Reel”. Lol
Baked is the way to go with pompano in my opinion. Love the video!
That size blue fish is excellent king bait
Whiting are GOOD fried like you do them crappie! aka crop pie, aka white perch, etc.
They were super tasty!
You should try to make it to Hatteras,Nc to surf fish one day.
Definitely would be cool!
I have caught so many blue fish and hope to catch many more. Fantastic fighters, not my favorite to eat. You are using the same baits as I do. Great video Cole, God bless you guys
I love catching bluefish! I want to catch some of the big ones on the Atlantic coast! Anytime I get to catch something on a gotcha plug I’m pumped!
@@COLE_and_JAY ME TOO

Whiting is very fishy to me, though I have and will eat them.
We want to see more of J and CYPRESS
Next video!
What kind of reels are you using ?
I was using 4000 size Shimano Sahara’s. And my big reel is a Penn Battle 3 8000 size!
A little dejavú in the beginning. A glitch in the matrix.
I wondered what you meant for a minute ! 😃🤪
I’m so glad you caught that lol otherwise I would have completely missed it. I’m working on editing the first intro out lol not sure how it got snuck in there twice. I must have edited this video late at night 😅
@@COLE_and_JAY you need a break. Take some time off and go fishing. 😂

Wishing you and the family a very blessed holiday season.

Where is Jay we all like to see Jay fishing ???
Cole your a walking commercial. Hats, shirts ,pants... Do others but your underwear also. ??? LMFAO 😅😅

Rate the fish from best to worst
Whiting, pompano, mackerel, bluefish
Oh so now your an expert Ocean fisherman??
I’m no expert, but I’ve gotten better at it over the years. A lot of what I do in freshwater translates over!
By the way, Cole... what was ILLEGAL that you threw in your cooler????
