    You need to checkout Chi Battery. 60v/60ah and big output - up to 24k. All cells are connected with a single metal plate that covers every contact point of the cells, which allows it to deliver high output at lowest possible battery temp It’s a beast.

      Jeff , dose the chi 60v/60 ah give you faster speed as well ? I’m about to go buy a battery, and I’m debating between the 72v. And the 60 v any tips ? ….. I want to go fast and long distance , but don’t like the idea of changing stock controler and cover,if I don’t have to, ……your thoughts ??

    This was very informative. I'd go the 60V and stock charger path from EBMX.

    Thanks for the info video. I currently have a BAC4000 and stock battery bypassed. Looking to upgrade but keep the same size battery as the stock, so no extender for the lid....
    Any thoughts on what my best option would be for more power? Im not concerned with getting more range than I have from the current stock bypass battery I'm using now, but would like performance improvement from the bike. Thanks.

    Good stuff thank you. Now I'm wondering it this ebmx battery is better than the Gladiator battery by Chi battery systems. They have two options for the stock controller.

    Great content. I decided to wait a year and watch all the battery and seat offerings. Ended up racing this years hare scrambles with two stock bypassed
    batteries and stock seat. The Chi battery looks interesting and still waiting for the EMB battery to be released. Wanna see more long term reviews before I buy one and only one next spring. I really like your seat but the shipping makes it cost prohibitive and shipping is a mess in the states right now, likely wouldn't receive it in under 3 no. Only a handful of us racing these, figure we should stick together so I'll probably pull the trigger on one of your seats when shipping is better. MORE RACE FOOTAGE!

    I enjoyed the video,. I do have a question though. I want to purchase an upgraded battery but want to be able to use my stock controller. If I run a EBMX 60v 50ah battery off my stock controller will I be able to switch back and forth my stock battery? I've been research batteries and I'm leaning towards that battery EBMX. What do you think?

    Thanks for this. My bypassed stock battery recently stopped taking a charge. I was thinking it could be from overheating and overdrawing amps. I'm a bigger guy riding off road with a lot of elevation changes and had started noticing sag under load. I'm hoping to get one of the EBMX 60v batteries that are supposed to be on their way to Hawaii. Keep making content and lets see more of your racing.

    I am a large man 200+ lbs and I own a stock sur ron. I keep up pretty well on rides withthe boys and their 72V systems, so I just took advantage of riders that were unsatisfied with stock batteries and low-bid them on ebay to get a great value and ride longer. I don't race but would consider a stock battery unable to meet those demands.

    Hello,
    I'm Renaud and i'm building my own batterry for Sur-Ron Street Legal with Sintech Controller and i plan to keep the original screen and connector to battery.
    According to the wiring diagram there is 2 wires flagged as "COM" the first one, the purple one, is not connected to battery BMS so i suspect this is for diagnostic/programming.
    The second one is blue/black can you have the information about what is it for? how it is connected to BMS (UART COM RX? TX?)? and is that a "must have" cable or can i delete it from my new BMS?

    Great content as always. Chibattery offers some of the highest capacity batteries for the Sur Ron. Their batteries are a bit taller than stock. You may be the only one who knows the answer to this question: Will the Race Spec Sur Ron Seat still fit when using these larger batteries?

    • @kwent86
      @kwent86 2 роки тому

      kinda wondering the same. I don't think it would fit. Maybe on the 60v60ah max, but not their tall 72v max.

    • @musicbox4022
      @musicbox4022 2 роки тому +3

      I like my 60v set up because I can still use the stock charger and stock battery (if needed)… it leaves all the options open. 72v is perhaps ideal for higher speeds like street riding or super moto style. 60v better for slower tight woods single track style.

    Temperature rise in Battery becouse of discharge rate (higher discharge rate less heat).
    Another aspect is safety way to protection battery for impact , vibration , watter , moisture shortcut.
    Best performance test is continius discharge test outside surron it can be huge resistor.
    Then you can see voltage sag and tempreture rise. And im more then sure all batterys claimed continius power cant be done under 60 Celsius degree after test.

      Would 72v bat who makes motor run cooler have better range than same kwh 60v bat ?
      Do you have an idea of motor temp/efficiency diagram or something like that ?

    • @proebikes930
      @proebikes930 3 роки тому

      @@surronzak8154 if ypu use same power 10kw for egzample , 72v need less Amps then 60v to keep 10kw power. This is simple part , hard part is that controlers is pushing power to motor not battery. So less speed les voltage , more amps . Volts can give you speed , amps torque. Choosing 72v is best for power and top speed without flux option in controller. Flux can spin motor faster but for it is necessary more Amps.

    • @kwent86
      @kwent86 2 роки тому +1

      It has to do with how they configure the cells in the pack and the size of the BMS I imagine. Chi makes a smaller 72v51ah at 17.5". EBMX makes smaller batteries by using pouch cells. The technology allows for almost no wasted space in the pack.

    Is it true 72v batteries tend to be hotter than 60v on surron?

    • @shitpostcentraI
      @shitpostcentraI 3 роки тому +7

      no. 60v generates more heat, because it'll have to pull more amps for the same power.
      example 10kw:
      10,000w / 72v = 138,8A
      10,000w / 60v = 166,6A

    I ride my sur-ron like a crazy fast class 3 ebike. Even have the v2 functional pedal kit. I'm a commuter haven't even taken my bike off road yet once. I have the super moto wheels. My only issue with the sur-ron is range. For getting back and forth to work around the whole mid-mon-valley area where i live its just fine. But there is no other sur-ron owners in my area there is only a handful of ebike or e.v. owners in my area. I want to be able to ride my bike to Pittsburgh where e.v's are everywhere go on ride outs hang out... im ok with a top speed in the 50s as of now I don't even have my green wire cut yet cause that will just drain the stock battery faster. Im looking to get range without having to mod my battery box. Was looking into a piggyback set up. Maybe a bigger 60v batter like the EBMX + a piggyback is that possible? 🤔

    • @jeffs8387
      @jeffs8387 3 роки тому +1

      Chi battery can run on stock controller and easily deliver 50 mile range on a single charge and if you ever decide to upgrade your controller it has the power to match.
