I picked up this marking tool from Central Bee Supply. Didn't have time to practice because I saw a Queen immediately in the first box I opened. I've marked about 14 this week, catching them in a Queen Catcher Clamp and releasing them into the Cylinder. Much better than chasing her around the hive, making multiple attempts, putting my scent on her, etc.. Quick and Easy!
Great job David!
Thanks for your business.

I have always wondered how to do that 😊
Hopefully you will give it a try!
I would have to use an off year color or else I'd really be buggered if all the drones came back 8n, lol. My eyes aren't what they used to be. Great tip though. Cora will be a pro in no time. I guess also with the drones you don't have all the other bees sticking with him like they do with the queen.
Good call!
I can't even get my queens marked, now I'm supposed to mark drones. The pressure is killing me lol.
😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
Well my goodness Mr. Smith, why didn't you use a color other than green and save the green for the queen this year
Plenty of paint in the pen buddy. Thanks for watching.
@@CentralBeekeepersSupply oh no doubt but now if you want to mark a queen in that hive for this year you will have a bunch of green dots running around. I'm sorry, I'm really not trying to be difficult but maybe something to think about next time.
