  • As part of Wilde Days in Paris, the playwright Sir David Hare comes to the Library to discuss the life of Oscar Wilde and his own 1998 play The Judas Kiss, which explores Wilde’s relationship with his young lover, Lord Alfred Douglas, known as Bosie. The author speculates on two incidents in Wilde’s life of which we know little, in order to present a play whose true subject is not Wilde, but love; not Bosie, but betrayal. (Faber & Faber)
