I completely agree with you, Sabina. Vika, you are an absolute inspiration and a such a great example to women everywhere (but especially in the 'first world'), of how easy it is to be happy and to live a hugely FULL and fulfilling life, without prioritising material possessions such as excessive clothes! I am more than twice your age, and I brought up four sons, without prioritising material possessions (and I still live my life in this way), and I strongly believe that it is the way to go... You are brilliant and your children are incredibly lucky to have you two as their parents!

I enjoyed your fashion show, Vika! I love the marshmallow dress and you were smart to make it work with the pajamas underneath! Having grown up as one of 6 children, I’ve never been a clothes horse. And now that I’m 65 it’s been interesting to see old fashions become new again which has really convinced me that the true purpose of clothes is to protect you from the elements not be concerned with impressing someone else. Your children are fortunate to have a mom who is wise beyond her years!
Fast fashion that ramped up over the decades just damages the environment peoples pockets and its pointless. It's just a money making machine for the industry. I'm 57 so yeah I've seen the same styles return so has my mum and she is 80! ✌

In the middle of summer while being pregnant the most important thing is comfort. As long as you’re comfortable nothing else matters.
I found with pregnancy clothing that at the very beginning you are excited and want to buy a cute wardrobe but as you get bigger and more uncomfortable you find it easy to give up that idea for just whatever fits and is comfortable. I think you did a good job with filling the requirements for a wardrobe.

Yup that’s my life, at currently 30 weeks pregnant. Back at the start of my 2nd trimester I realized that I don’t need much and I already owned larger pieces in my wardrobe. Then during the holidays my Mom gave me a few of her roomy tights that fit me nicely so I have no need for maternity wear.

I think the most attractive quality in a person is confidence - confidence to prioritize what’s necessary, confidence to rock what’s comfortable for them, and comfort in their own skin. Often times having too many pieces esp if they don’t fit me right anymore starts to stress me out so I know what you mean. Keep rocking what’s comfortable for you - and soon your two kids will be the most important “accessories” you will have ;-)

Always love your posts. It made me smile to see you dancing in a happy place. When my wife was first pregnant , my mother in law said it was common in our church for women to give clothes that they wore , while pregnant to other expectant mothers , she got a box of clothes , with an apology note that some clothes had stains from tomato sauce that she could not get out , and gave my mother in law a jar of her homemade sauce. As luck would have it ,whenever she ate tomato sauce some ended up on her top or lap... years later she met the lady who gave her the clothes and the sauce... they both ended up pregnant again about the same time and passed on the sauce to all the other expectant mothers in the church at that time. I thought you might like that story ,and who knows maybe start the same type of group at your church. My family and l continue to keep your family in our prayers.

I think you look lovely!!! My hubby was in school and I was working when I had my children!!! I wore the same clothes over and over again...and to work!!! If one can I guess more might cheer someone up but I couldn't and I didn't and now the children have all flown the nest and one actually has a chickadee of their own!!! xo Dawn

Being twice Vika’s age I can still relate, which I rarely do. I don’t like makeup, I do like clothes but I’d rather not have too many, it’s just clutter. Fun to watch these minimalist wardrobe videos again🙂

I am working right now on making my wardrobe more minimal! I find I tend to wear the same pieces a lot because they are most comfortable, so why keep those things that aren’t? You look beautiful in each outfit, and are so cute modeling them. I love your attitude of contentment, no wonder you seem so happy! May God bless you and your family❤️

I really like your attitude towards things. I think you are a representation what minimalism should be all about. To be content with what we have and realise we dont have to follow minimalistic "trends". You look beautiful in all your clothes and all pieces go together. It suits your style :)

So often in society these days it's no longer accepted when a person chooses to be comfortable, confident, and just focus on living life! 🥰 So often people spend so much time worrying looking "just so" that they often miss out on things without realizing it. While I do have more clothes than that, most of it has been gifts, and half of it just sits in the closet🤷♀️

I think your wardrobe is perfect. I worked until near the end of both my pregnancies. I carried differently for each of my daughters and was pregnant during different seasons so my wardrobe was different. But I bought the minimum knowing with each phase it was short and temporary. Being comfortable and healthy is all that matters.
Usually listening to you kind of gets my thoughts straight again, about EVERYTHING! Slowing down and relaxing and enjoying the moment a little more. Thank you! ❤️

You look great! The clothes you're wearing during your pregnancy look comfortable, practical and elegant. I've always been a firm believer that spending lots of money on maternity clothes is a waste. When I was last pregnant 37 years ago, I had only a few items of clothing that I bought especially for the months of pregnancy and I also used to wear my husband's shirts and t-shirts with leggings - I am actually still wearing one of the dresses I bought 37 years ago, I wear it now as a night dress... The label inside the dress still says 'Mothercare Maternity'... Mothercare was the store I bought it from. 🥰

You and I are very similar when it comes to clothes! I planned to do some summer shopping in May...and now it's almost August 😂 I only have 1 pair of shorts and 3-4 shirts, but I've still never had to go naked, so no problems here! 😂 Maybe I'll go shopping next year 🤷♀️

I'm the same. I've been breastfeeding my second child since March 2021 and before that I was pregnant and before that I was with my first child all the time with almost 2 years of breastfeeding and before that I was pregnant. So I wasn't really wearing any of my regular clothes for the past 5 years. And it really got me thinking that clothes isn't that important. I keep my wardrobe very small right now and it works well for me. I definitely prefer to spend my allowance money on my hobbies rather than on clothes. And I love love love real life content on that topic! Thank you!

Your videos like this always make me feel a lot better. I almost never have the time, money, energy (or fashion skills) to keep my wardrobe just how I like it. I often feel very badly about this, but you sharing and being honest really helps me feel better.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one with one pair of shoes and wears them until I literally have to buy another pair. Lol I still just buy a used pair I never buy new . I think you look amazing. Love all the clothes and videos.
you look adorable in every piece and by the time baby comes, we are usually very ready for one or two “new” pieces to match our new smaller selves. enjoyed your modeling show and your attitude. moving, moving again, so many adjustments, clothes become very low priority!

Thank you for showing that what we have can be enough! Social media bombards us with these “perfect” capsule wardrobes that are unattainable for most. I also wear t-shirts under my sundresses for comfort and modesty. I love the idea of wearing the silk set as an under garment. 😊

I thought this was a really cute video, and I got the point of it! Your life has been in upheaval since you’ve been pregnant. I think what you put together for maternity clothes was nice and it all looks cute on you. The blue dress with the thin straps is perfect with the t-shirts. I’d wear it all the time.

I find myself without even one summer dress so I've been wearing shorts a lot this year. I'll make sure l have a couple of comfortable floral dresses for next summer though.
I agree with you clothes don't need to be a big deal. A few outfits that are suitable for the kind of lifestyle you lead can be more than enough.
I've always had what other people would consider a small amount of clothes, for me it was enough though. I've been getting better at knowing what to buy and what won't work for me.

Great point. I'm pregnant too and mostly wearing what I already have. We are in the middle of winter here in Australia so I needed to get some pants to keep myself warm and comfy though. I got three pairs of leggings and a couple of second-hand jeans later. I highly recommend wearing some of your husband's clothes. I often ask mine if I can wear his jumpers or shirts because they are way longer and cover the bump perfectly :D
30yrs ago when I was first pregnant from what I remember I had two skirts, one long, one short, ski pants, jeans, t-shirts from before pregnancy and a couple of longline cardigans, that was it, I didn’t need anything more. 😊 Capsule wardrobes we’re devised by women’s magazine to encourage us to buy more, more and more. I think we are smart enough to decide for ourselves what we need, just like you. 💕
