Ever since this alien invaders event started I had to lower my in-game graphics and wait until the end of the event to even pick up anything or else I disconnect. I never had a problem running games on my pc until now. Can't wait until this event is over. So I'll give some of your tips a try. Thanks
@@dustrhothanks I took your advice in your video but I also went to my control panel in Nvidia in 3D Settings and turned on maxed frame rate to 50% of my monitors Hz (No lower than 60 FPS) now fo76 feels like a new game and I'm actually not disconnecting from the alien event anymore or having really bad lag spikes or stuttering.
The grass fix helped gain about 10 frames. I still cant pull 60 fps. I have a 2070 super and 32 gigs of ram. I figured I could run this game without many problems. My question is, why are the recommended specs so low on steam if it runs so poorly?
Sorry to hear you're having issues still. Did you try everything I suggested in my video? I had all those settings configured on a 7-yr-old PC with a 1070 gpu in it, and it ran the game very well. One other thing I should've suggested is to make sure the game is using your 2070. Some PCs have the internal graphics card selected (not the high-end NVIDIA one).
I’m planning on trying it out again, but not sure if I’ll be streaming it or not. I’ve kinda promised my community that I would be streaming 76 every night I normally stream. Maybe I’ll stream it here on my UA-cam channel during the day sometime. How about you? And great hearing from you, miss ya bud.
if i put shadow on high i cant play at 60fps and shadow in medium is complete trash, so for people like me i recomend turn shadows completely off doing this: fShadowDistance=1.0000 fDirShadowDistance=1.0000 iShadowMapResolution=1 uiShadowFilter=1 uiOrthoShadowFilter=1 fBlendSplitDirShadow=1.0000 iMaxFocusShadows=0 fShadowBiasScale=1.0000 iDirShadowSplits=1 bDrawShadows=0 and the grass too on the video and theres a config that make your game smothier and i dont know why but it is iPresentInterval=0
Yeah, the way they do shadows in this game is pretty bad. It's either ok looking or total garbage. Turning them off is a good idea too. Wish they had a setting in-game to turn grass & shadows off without having to edit them manually. Thanks for the suggestion!
not sure what it is but when i enter a vendors inventory or my stash/vendors my fps tanks so low to around 20 fps any tips to fix that? never had that problem until today?
You don't make a custom ini folder, but you can make a custom ini file. If you navigate to C:\Users\user\Documents\My Games\Fallout 76 just right-click anywhere in the blank space and select New > Text Document. Give it the name of Fallout76Custom.ini which is where you'll add information to customize your gaming experience. For example, I have grass turned off so I have the following added in there: [Grass] iMinGrassSize = 20 bAllowCreateGrass = 0 You can find more simple "mods" to add to that file to do what you want. Hope that information helps.
You will have to go into the File Explorer and change the settings to show all hidden files. Once you do that you’ll be able to see several other files, including some INI files. If you’re not sure how to do that settings change in File Explorer you might just need to Google that. It’s pretty easy to get that done though.
Did you use any of the advice I put into this video? What exactly do you mean that it looks bad? The game isn't using Unreal for its engine, so you can't expect it to look super amazing and high quality. Even if your computer can run it at the highest display (graphics) settings, it still looks just mediocre. The purpose of my video was to help people improve their FPS. I upgraded my computer late last year with a 4070ti, and the game runs so much better now. Does it look way better? No, not really... looks about the same. Hopefully the game runs smooth for you with those two hardware upgrades. Thanks for the comment, sorry you're unhappy with how the game looks/runs.
pointless i have 3080 ti worse gpu that 4070 ti and i play ultra setting default ini only iPresentInterval=0 120fps cap in nvidia control panel and game runs smooth
Well, it's great that you don't have any problems, buy why the hell are you here commenting? Like, wtf? Good for you having a smooth experience, are u just looking for "FPS Fix"-videos to tell others just that?
@@YakatoSan setting iPresentInterval=0 in the Fallout76Prefs File fixed my fps as well. i got max 55 fps before and now i get, well at least 80, which is the limit i set in my gpu drivers.
@Sierraone1 yea, that's good, but I wasnt saying that setting Vsync to 0 doesn't help, but that this guy calls everything dust recommends pointless, because he has a smooth experience with just Vsync turned off which makes this guy a pos in my book

The event has brought more server disconnects & crash-to-desktops. Hopefully it gets better for you. Keep me posted!

i think no one bc have 4070ti and my game is still running 30 70 fps with spikes
Could be cpu, bethesda games nowadays are more cpu focused.

The problem is i dont have an ini file

@dustrho I'm on pc. I have both steam and xbox version. Xbox version has its settings under "project76perfs". But steam only has "fallout76" file :/
