Howdy kevy. Chad here. Great shave. I just took a 6 year hiatus from the wet shaving community (needed to use up and give away some soaps, razors, and blades without acquiring more). Glad to see you're still at it.
Yoy asked what mail calls we're waiting for... Well a ming shi 3000S came in today, along with the 2000S to replace the one i gave away. 3 tubes of palmolive, a tub of tobs sandalwood, 2 tubes of C. O. Bigelow. 300 astra SP blades (bringing my total of russian made astra sp blades to 1,100). 100 personna lab blues (made in the USA). Oh and i almost forgot a 12 pack of arko shave soap sticks. 4 travel cases for safety razors.
Now I'm awaiting a stainless steel yaqi tile head, stainless steel yaqi 70sb ghost head, stainless steel ds cosmetic scalloped d8 head, a Yintal stainless steel razor, and a Yintal stainless steel handle that looks just like the handle of a red tip super speed. 4 ds cosmetic synthetic 26mm brushes, 3 yaqi synthetic brushes, 2 more tubes of palmolive original shave cream, 2 tubes of proraso (red and green), 2 pucks of arko, and 2 generic razor handles that are clones of a black muhle r89 handle
So yeah. I'm restocking my inventory... Any recommendations are welcome lol.

@@kevyshaves4109 no. Not really. As far as software goes i still have a dozen pucks of stirling (store them in the refrigerator), about 600 blades, 2 sticks of boots shave sticks from england, 2 sticks of palmolive, 8 tubs of razorock soaps, and a partridge in a pear tree.
I came back just to see what's going on in the community and discovered the p&g blades are all moving to india, personna lab blues have totally changed names and are only available at razor emporium, and german made personna blades have replaced the lab blues and israeli reds. Then i hopped on youtube and aside from you, kensurfs, paul h films, friendship shaving, and geofatboy and cdb everyone else seems to be gone. Lots of newbies on the scene that have me scratching my head.
Soap looks decent, intrigued about their blades. Awesome shave mate. 🙌

Great shave with an amazing razor. I absolutely love my Tatara. I also have both top caps and base plates to switch around and make a Masadachi like yours and also a Nodamune. 😂. Have a great 2024🎉

Kevy, My blades are made in Pakistan not Germany. And only the platinum ones are made from 80% recycled steel. They only have a P.O. Box in Berlin. It’s all a con! Great blades though. German prices but made in Pakistan! Not Pakistan prices as it should be!!

Happy New Year, Kevy! Nice 2024 shave. The only baseplate swapping I've done is with my Rockwell 6S 😉 Like you said, if it works, why mess around? Unless you have a shaving channel and have to 😱 Don't be a stranger...cheers!

Hahaha... 😂😂😂 funny intro...👏💖 With Masamune base plate would be more my aggression level, the scent on the soap sounds quite nice. No real extra shaving gear for Christmas, I tend to just get stuff during the year when the price is right! Straight after Christmas there's normally some good deals😜.
Nicely done Kevy💈💈 I've done the base plate swap with many razors that accept this as standard practice, a great way of having many choices for shaving. Unfortunately no Tatara products in my den, I know I'm missing out. Looked like great results in today's shave, good stuff. See ya soon.

Great shave. What was so funny about Tatara blades being made in the Czech Republic? Just tell me, don’t be shy to answer. The only Czech blades I’ve tried so far are the Tiger Platinum, and they were great for me. It’s been very snowy here in my area, and the temps are about to be below zero in the next coming days. That’s my favourite combination for that razor, perfect. Those blades look good, any glue bumps present? How do they compare to the Viking blades?

Hey Kevy, I've actually been considering a full on Nodachi, but I fear it might be a bit much for me. I'm curious, if the Nodachi were a Rockwell plate, where do you think it would fit? Maybe a 7 or 8?
