Germany was split into various principalities during the 1700s and 1800s. Some Italian City States were ruled by Principalities.

However, large-scale human immigration to the colonies was related to the overpopulation of humans on earth. and this is what humans face, when many humans enjoy living in peace as a result of the struggle and bloodshed of previous generations, making humans live like animals. prioritize individual interests, raise livestock and depend on the technology they build themselves. In my opinion, currently humans have not yet reached the peak of their evolution, they can still evolve. To do that, humans must adapt to suit their new environment. humans still needed bloodshed to stabilize their population which continued to grow incessantly. because war is also the father of creation and the mother of culture. Even though in one sense war is also a destruction of civilization, humans who remain after the war will create a new culture for future human civilization. Covid-19 succeeded in killing millions of people, but could not find the population and human needs increasing until they had to destroy their own earth for their own hegemony.

And dozel kycilia and possibly gihren did not get their positions just because of nepotism they were all fairly competent (tho their infighting did lead the the loss of zeon) with garma sure there is some nepotism there but he was a genuinely good leader and his men loved and respected him

If I recall, in the Origin timeline it is Gihren who eventually admits to it, while in the novel for MSG, Degwin admits to it. Which makes sense as Degwin never seems as into all of this as Gihren is. I wouldn't be surprised if the Nazi-like flag was Gihren's doing as well.

Iirc it’s something about the translation. Zeon was supposed to be a “koukoku” and the accurate translation of that is principality.
