- After watching the cutscenes from the first Injustice game, Injustice: Gods Among Us, we wanted to continue on with the story with Injustice 2.

I still can't get over how Awesome it is that Freddy Krueger himself, Robert Englund is the Voice of Scarecrow in this Game
One of the many reasons Scarecrow was so great in this series.
I know! He’s one of my favorite parts of Injustice.
He was one of the best parts of Injustice 2! Hope he can come back for Injustice 3.
I can almost forgive the retconning of his death!

Honestly i love how Neather Realm Studios' cinematic story telling keeps improving with each new game they make.
Unfortunately IJ2 AND 11 feels like super simple stories....Feels likes NRS would make BETTER stories doing actual movies instead of games imo.

MK11 is so overrated it’s actually horrible when you consider the continuity from the first two

So glad you continued to Injustice 2! The leap in quality is insane. Some facts:
- Yep, the Suicide Squad movie came out before this, so that's why Harley is a little more Margot Robbie and Joker is very Jared Leto. However, later on, Margot Robbie actually wore Harley's Injustice 2 outfit in James Gunn's The Suicide Squad!
- Scarecrow is voiced by Robert Englund, better known as Freddy Krueger.
- Mentioned briefly but this Green Arrow is from another universe - and not the one from Injustice 1. Black Canary is from the Injustice universe, but she was sent over to this Green Arrow's world by Dr. Fate prior to the first game in the comics, which is why she wasn't in the first Injustice.

I love how this universe's Harley Quinn has become, for all intents and purposes, the next Robin. She's Batman's closest ally and confidant and the two truly trust and respect the other.
I also love her fear gas Joker hallucination. Her biggest fear isn't the Joker himself, it's relapse. Every time in her past she showed signs of reform, he swooped in and manipulated her back to his side. Her finally standing up to him, now she has actual true friends that love and trust her for who she truly is, was enough for to finally put him down.
Meh. Still is a terrorist who killed 4 million people.
Well to be fair he doesn't have a lot to pick me from considering Dick,Tim,Jason are all dead
As others have said, Bruce didn't 'pawn' Damian off on anyone. Talia al Ghul didn't tell him he even had a son until Damian was like...8-10 years old. By then, he'd grown up around killers.
EDIT: Also, Scarecrow was voiced by Robert Englund. Y'know, Freddy Kreuger from Nightmare on Elm Street.
EDIT 2: In the Batwing, before they ejected, Robin did agree with Superman's methods. Brother Eye was a comics thing, but not sure if it came about before or after Dark Knight.
Wish Nyssa would be a playable character in Injustice 3 game.
Damian's conception was pretty iffy. Talia Al-Ghul roofied Batman and then shagged him. Damian is Batman's non-consensual son.

@@redhaze7663 I thought it was originally consensual, but Grant Morrison retconned it to be not because it was seen as "out of character" for Batman to not use protection.
Brother Eye was made before The Dark Knight film.
Though, arguably its basis of HAL-9000 predates either by decades.
Love the reactions, keep 'em up. Also, Batman didn't pawn Damian off to The League of Assassins, he didn't know he existed at first until Talia showed up. Another thing, Brother Eye originally came from the comics, first showing up in Infinite Crisis, I believe. The story only gets better from here.
Yeah...and that's not even touching how he was conceived on his moms Taila part...that a huge discussion in itself.

Two things that should be explained that arent explained in the game.
1. In the Injustice comics/universe Green Arrow was murdered by superman, sometime later during a big battle he also basically killed Black Canary. But after the dust cleared a hero named Dr.Fate saved her life and would send her to another universe where a different Green Arrow lost his Black Canary and allowed them to live together.
2. Harley is so buddy buddy with black canary because in the comics it was revealed that black canary was secretly pregnant with green arrow's baby. Harley knew and could tell because she had been pregnant previously and never told anyone and even hid the kid from the joker. Harley empathized with and comforted Black Canary and how she felt scared.
Oh okay. I was about to say hows green arrow alive here lol
It actually is explained. When Black canary and Green Arrow first talk to Harley they say we came a long way then Oliver says"Yeah a world away" they are from the other universe from the first game, batman brought them back through the portal.

The voice of Joker in all of Netherrealm's games (MK vs DC, Injustice 1&2, & MK11's DLC) is Richard Epcar whom has also voiced Raiden in all Mortal Kombat games since *MK vs DC (excluding MK1).
Also, fun fact: Freddy Krueger himself Robert Englund voices Scarecrow in this game. It's actually kind of a bittersweet fact considering they were able to get him on for this game but not for MK9 when they actually had Freddy Krueger as a DLC character.
Epcar also voiced Bo-BoBoBo Bo-BoBo from the anime of the same name.
Richard’s been voicing Raiden since MK vs DC that game was also the first time he voiced Joker as well

Kevin Conroy may not have played Batman in live action but to me, I feel like he does in this game because it gives me realistic graphics and Kevin Conroy is definitely the best Batman voice actor and great Batman in my opinion, Awesome reaction guys.
He sort of did play Batman in live action. Only as Bruce Wayne though, in the Arrowverse crossover event "Crisis on Infinite Earths"
Out of all the actors that came and went that played Batman in the live action movies, Kevin Conroy will always remain my favorite Batman actor.
Same goes for the Arkham games or especially Arkham Knight. He voice acted in a video game with great graphics.
technically he did play him in live action in the Arrowverse crossover crisis on infinite earths he didn't play batman but he did get to play a live action Bruce Wayne

I always come back watching Injustice 2 cutscenes from time to time and pretend it's a real movie 😂😂😂 The Justice League movie we always wanted, but never gets.
You want a Justice League movie where Superman and Wonder Woman are evil, and most of the JL characters are fighting against each other? Lol
To give some insight on Damian being raised by the league Bruce has no idea he even had a son until Talia rash al ghouls daughter revealed it to him basically how Damien was convinced is Talia drugged bats

I remember being blown away by the facial animation in these cutscenes, obviously everything looks way better then the first game.

I absolutely love Injustice 2. I'd say it's an overall upgrade over the first game. I can't wait for number 3, whenever that's happening.
24:23 scarecrow is actually voiced by Robert England(Freddy krueger) in this game and it couldn't be more fitting!
Edit: Richard epcard(voice of raiden) is the one who plays joker in all of Netherrealms games
If you're wondering why Green arrow is still alive it's because the Green arrow from the other universe decided to stay and that goes the same with Black Canary
No the Green Arrow from the last game went back to his universe, the Green Arrow in this game came from an entirely different Universe until Injustice Batman brought him, Black Canary, and their son over.
That’s a good look for Diana because they finally drew her like an Amazon with some meat on her and not some noodle armed swimsuit model.
I looove that Robert Englund is voicing Scarecrow

Little fun fact here, especially for Achara because she watched it, but Supergirl is voiced by Laura Bailey, aka Vex from Legend of Vox Machina. A lot of the cast is actually in the game with Taliesin Jaffe(Percy), Liam O'Brien(Vax), Travis Willingham(Grog), and Matt Mercer(Several Characters in LOVM)
If i'm not mistaken, joker is voiced by Richard epcar (raiden's VA from the more recent MK games)
I love watching these cutscenes with you two. It’s been one hell of a ride from MK to DC so far!
I loved when Jaby made the utility belt comment 🤣 I’d pay good money to have a recording of Kevin Conroy warning Damien: “don’t make me take off this utility belt young man.”
The same man who voiced Raiden from MK9-MK11 is the same man who voiced Joker in Injustice 1 and injustice 2. Just so you know lol.
NRS when making graphics, take several small jumps, and then a MASSIVE leap to their next era when you look back.
The recent showcase of Injustice 1 to 2 is just a 4 year leap, now with MK11 to MK1 it's even MORE polished. They've become on of those companies with best looking consistent graphics.
Harley Quinn is one of my absolute favorite characters in this game, not only is she fun to play as, but Tara Strong absolutely KILLS it as Harley. She’s far more empathetic and funnier in this game than the last. And her scene of her truly telling The Joker to F OFF is awesome.
Not to mention her outfit in this game is the best she has ever looked. Equally sexy and practical. Even James Gunn agrees, which is why he gave Margot this look in the beginning of The Suicide Squad. I just wish she had it throughout.
The Brother Eye storyline, OMAC, and Tower of Babil, and some Batman Beyond End Days are good correlating stories, didn’t think about The Dark Knight having a reference equivalent to Brother Eye.
Bruce didn’t know Damien existed until Damien was 12 so he didn’t pawn him to the league he just didn’t know
Be aware that dick grayson is the original robin and the one you might know. Damian is much more of an anti hero because he was born from Bruce and one of the villians and did not have contact with him until he was older, hence he is a lot more vengeful and susceptible to evil due to being trained by a gang of assassins to be a killer.
I just love Harley in this game. As my favorite dc character, Harley being a good guy and on strong path to redemption is peak Harley after years of simply being jokers sidekick love interest punching bag. She's definitely one of the most shining characters of this game next to a few others i wont spoil
Injustice and Injustice 2 are the only video games I’ve played in the last decade! It’s really cool that you found a play through that shows the “super moves”. Harley’s super move may be my favorite on this game.

Batman didn't know Damien existed because Batman was drugged by Talia and graped by her. So most of his childhood was under the League of Assassins.

Harley had some of the best facial animations. They clearly modeled her after Margot Robbie as well.

The concept of a heroic or merely non-villainous Harley Quinn has been around since the 1990’s.
There was a Batman episode in which she is paroled, and confused a store guard’s attempt to remove a security tag from a dress she bought as an assumption of shoplifting, so she hit him and “accidentally” kidnaps a socialite Veronica, but she ends up foiling a gangster crime ring during the mishap. When Batman speaks up for her defence and treats her kindly upon her arrest, she kissed him in gratitude.
Then there’s an episode where the Joker has a nuke, so Batman and Robin have to recruit Harley to find him, and she periodically sabotages but helps them. She betrays them for the Joker, but when they point he wouldn’t have had time to rescue her from Arkham before the bomb detonated, and Joker refusing to save the hyenas makes Harley defect back to Batman. When Harley understands that Joker planned to abandon her, she tries to kill him, but it failed, yet he is impressed by her so weirdly they get back together.
When Joker seemed to inherit a fortune, he found it cheaper to hire a new Harley instead of pay to get the old one back. In anger, original Harley escaped Arkham, so when Joker is arrested again, she was dressed as a prison transport driver, using that access to beat the crap out of him.
There was a solo comic series in the early 2000’s that had her switch between villain and anti-hero, depending on the plot.
The Batman and Harley Quinn animated movie had her team with Batman and Nightwing (also rape Nightwing), as they stop a scheme by the Floronic Man and Poison Ivy. Incidental, but worst Harley voice ever.
Injustice Harley had a daughter with the Joker, but despite still being with him, she gave the child to her sister to raise because she understood that he would be an awful father.
Superman's entrance is so bad ass !
remember the unused and wasted scene in Man of Steel where they showed a pod that was open and was confirmed to be Supergirl? This would have been a cool way to open up Zack Snyder Supergirl film meeting up with Superman and Brainiac being the villian of her movie!
Brother eye is a callback to an early 2000s comic book, the computer in The Dark Knight is based off of that comic just like here
I like the idea that Brainiac caused the core of Krypton to be destabilized instead of some random natural disaster.
It was explained that although it was a natural disaster, it was due to the higher ups not taking action they were wiped out
Regarding Damian's ubringing in reference to 15:01: Talia al Ghul (Ra's al Ghul daughter) had romantic interest in Batman, so she essentially roofied him one time and for all intents and purposes r*ped him. This is how Damian was born.
But here's the kicker: she didn't tell Bruce about Damian's existence till he was almost 8-10 years old. At that point she pawned Damain off to him and left to lead the league of assassins.
21:11 it's not really according to only the show because Harley and Ivy were always best friends/lovers in every version ,in fact in the comics that was leading up to this game Harley and Ivy even got married but I don't know why it was never brought up in the game and this fact was completely ignored

“He looks like Cavil” “she looks like a Margot” “he looks like Leto” no lol sorry. And you mentioned the birds of prey movie. They don’t all resemble each other because of the movies. It’s because of the comics they came from.
And to this day as far as I’m concerned Terry McGinnis(Batman beyond) is the only blood son tht exists in my world😂
So something they changed that was mentioned in the first game and in the Injustice comics, Damian killed Dick/Nightwing by accident when he got mad at him during the Arkham conflict shown in the game. This is what put him and Batman at odds in the comics.
One thing amazing about Neatherealm is the upgrade in graphis every game, MK, Injustice 1, MKX, Injustice 2, MK11, MK1, maybe Injustice 3 next, who knows, but what I was saying is that all of them had incredible upgrades.
Green Arrow and Black Canary are from the other Earth. Green arrow marks on this briefly by saying we came from "A world away." It was just quickly touched on because it is assumed people know the story to the first game and that the Green Arrow on this earth was Superman's First victim after Joker.
One detail: The Scarecrow's voice is Robert Englund our beloved Freddy Krueger 💀
Brainiac could be a terrifying villian in the new DCU Superman movie.
With the right visuals and writing.
Green Arrow's wife looks exactly like Jennifer Holland. (James Gunn's wife).
Incase someone hasn’t said so already in the comics, Batman made a pill which temporarily gives you the strength and durability of a meta human. That is how they were able to fight again Superman in the story

FYI this is not the Green Arrow from the previous game, or (obviously) the one Superman killed in this world, but another Oliver from a world where Black Canary, that THIS one went to be with when she "retired"
You guys should definitely make a video of all endings in injustice 1 and 2 and the dialogues of all characters in injustice 2 when you guys are finished with injustice 2 story
Fun fact: Wonder Woman's voice actress, Susan Eisenberg, is voicing Ashrah in MK1. I'm hoping that Ashrah will carry that same warrior fierceness we see in WW. 😍
I'm not sure who really destroyed Krypton in the comics or even the DC cartoons but I think in some iterations of the story it was either Brainiac or the planet's core that destroyed the planet which sounds sad because Clark never got to be with is parents until years later with a hologram message from Jor-El.
Usually it's the planet's core. That's the original story. But in Injustice's Elseworld, it's because of Brainiac.
15:05 to be fair, Batman didnt even know Damian existed until he was about 10 years old. Talia al Ghul had drugged Batman, took advantage of him and conceived Damian and raised him as a member of the League of Assassins.
Just a heads up, Batman didn't know about Damien until he was much older. Tailia al ghual (the mother) kept Damien hidden from Bruce and raised him in the league of shadows until she sent him to bruce to learn.

This is good. And seriously, when you get the chance, look at the character endings on both games. Some of them are from DLC characters and only a couple of them would be canon, but overall, they are pretty damn good.
Injustice 2 Confirmed all of Injustice 1 endings aren't canon a year before Injustice 2 was releases.

@@jeffharold1960 First of all, I think the Batman's ending was cannon to Injustice 2. The Injustice universe's Batman actually did inherit Injustice Luthor's money. Or did you not see the "Luthor/Wayne" logos on certain equipment. I think it's safe to say Superman's ending is probable, why wouldn't he do that?
Second, as for the second game, I think Superman or Batman's character ending are at least possible depending on how you end the game.

The joker voice is the same guy Richard epcar who's voiced joker multiple times from injustice 1 and 2 mk vs dc and mk 11 which also voices raiden in the mk games
Just fyi for a timeline of the development cycle and the increase in graphic fidelity, it was MK9, then they made Injustice, then MKX, then Injustice 2, then MK11, and now MK1.
I can't believe Freddy Krueger is the voice of scarecrow well and Riddler in the Batman 2004 show also I think Tara Strong does Harley Quinn correct me if I'm wrong but she also does Timmy Turner Ben 10 and Twilight Sparkle
Injustice 2 was the first NetherRealm Studios video game with started to use reaI human faces for their characters (well ..at least those that do have human bodies / faces) 😁 ..so that is why they started to look better and better (as you can also see in Mortal Kombat 11).
It ain't always the exact face of the person who they get inspired by when they add it to a character (cuz they still try to have some % of their own take for that specific character) ..but the likeness with the real person they used for that character's face is often close enough. 😀
Btw Scarecrow was voiced by Robert Englund actor who played Freddy Krueger.
13:50 - they don’t go into much detail in the first game, as they just call it a kryptonite supplement, but in the Injusitce comic the pills that Supermans thugs and other humans take are essentially super pills that grant the user the superhuman strength and durability of superman himself for a limited time, which is how regular humans in the game are able to go toe to toe with the dictator of steel.
17:55 - to explain Green Arrow being here in case anyone’s confused, this is another universes Green Arrow but not the Green Arrow from the first injustice.
Essentially Injustice Black Canary was saved from a battle wherein she would’ve died by Dr Fate, who whisked her away to a universe that had lost its Black Canary, wherein she and that universes Green Arrow fell in love and had a son together.
When Black Canary found out Superman had been defeated, she convinced Oliver to come back to her universe with her to help Batman clean up the remains of the regime.

(PS. That whole section at Arkham Asylum happens very differently in the Injustice prequel comics especially when it comes to why Damien/Robin kills Victor Zzasz)
Story's okay but its hurt by inconsistent retcons (especially if you read the injustice comics before playing) and some things are just left without explanation specially at the end but aside from that,its fine
Netherealm writers have been notoriously guilty of retconning things with each sequel ever since MK9 and Injustice 1. Not sure if its the same writers or they keep switching the out with each game but its a trend most fans have found annoying
Have you seen the animated injustice movie? how was it?
@@Regent192 its not a good movie at all especially if you really interested in happened before the 1st game. Its a short rushed mess that tries to pack 5 years of events into 1hr 10mins (The Live Action Avatar movie treatment) with a out of nowhere third act that makes no sense specially if you played the 1st game. It should have been a Animated 5 season show or well paced miniseries atleast.
If you want the best telling of that story, you're better off reading the Injustice Gods Among us Years 1-5 comic series (or watching a UA-cam video that breaks down those comics). They do a better job than that movie ever did.
Until this day, this game has the best story mode out of all the NRS Games, maybe MK1 will take the crown this year, who knows (?

Its not mentioned in the game but most of the rest of the titan's weren't killed in metropolis they confronted superman, I think it was superboy who got fatally injured and they voluntarily entered the phantom zone as the lack of time there would keep him alive till help could come. Help that superman never requested.
Damien killed Dick Grayson, so after that Batman hated him, but then Damien decided that Superman made more sense because of his upbringing from the league of assassins

You guys should read comics, they explain a LOT of what happened between timelines and also are a great read on their own.
In case you guys forgot, one such example is Green Arrow of this universe is dead , which is why everyone was surprised to see him in part 1 game. The oliver/GA in this game comes from other universe to live here- explained in comic as well .
The art quality and story are really improved in this game.
Batman didn’t raise Damian. Didn’t even know he was born till he was a teenager. In the comics, Talia al Ghul drugged Bruce to conceive a child and raised him in the ideals of the League of Assassins. That was quite the controversy in the comics.
Just realizing and I don't know how many Superman properties get this right, but Kryptonians get their powers from yellow sun. They had no powers on Krypton because Krypton has a red sun but in the Supergirl scene the lighting was yellow. Should have been more red
I like these cut scene movies I hope we get more
Brother Eye came from the comics way before The Dark Knight movie.... Infinite Crisis I think was the storyline
