Definitely gonna pick this up. Other then the 3 Jokers batman this may be my favourite version especially to have a more modern looking version. Great review 👍
I just picked up this figure today and, I have to say that the figure I got is almost perfect. I usually try to improve the torso/ab articulation but there was no real need with this figure! Plus the detents in ball joints of the feet aren't so severe and it's significantly easier to pose than some of the other figures I own. The only downside is that it is shorter than the other figures. If the upper body was just 2 or 3 percent larger I think it would be perfect.

Unpopular opinion (sorry).. although I respect Capullo as an artist, there is something about his designs that seems a little off to me. Maybe it’s the thicker necks or the boxy chins, I don’t know. That’s why I’m happy to see this new figure of Rebirth Batman where the proportions and overall aesthetic seem more pleasing.
I thought of an idea for the wire for the grapnel gun, the wire in pens. Never heard “pocket fig” before. I like how the head moves from neck unlike the one before had different articulation.
Only thing I don’t like is the overhanging cod piece, it doesn’t look nearly as bad as it did in the promo pics but I’ll need to get it in hand to see if I might try to trim it but otherwise he looks really nice

Thanks for always examining the details closely, and for testing the articulation to its limits so I don’t have to 😏 I don’t like this trend towards making the legs extra long though. It’s happened with the three jokers bats and it’s honestly ruining the figure for me. I’m going to do a mod on is and shorten the calf from just above the boot and see if that works. I’ll get this one as well and try the same thing

That combined with the weird spacing on the ankle articulation, the notches where the ball joints rest are too far apart, makes it difficult to get the feet flush with the ground in a neutral standing pose

I feel like the bat family are a little too big, like compared to other release like JL and others, nightwing is taller/around supes size for example Add: and the redhoods are as tall as bizarro which is around superman sizes too
Had him pre ordered but cancelled due to its scale and today after the Hush Batman was announced I don’t feel bad. I needed a more classic look to go with the Justice league I’m building. I grabbed the 2 pack with the tombstone diorama. I’m hoping they release a blue variant of the hush without the angry headsculpt.
I hear ya, I would say this is easily one of the best figures they’ve made in this line to date, yet it’s still not really necessary for me since it’s not my preferred era of bat suit design.
Great figure but looks a bit small as you say. Smaller head (like the detective comics #1000) compared to the rest of the figures you lined it up with. Lovely looking figure but might have to pass. Three jokers is still my main Batman.
The grey looks like it'd be close enough to the Arkham Asylum Batman to switch the torso and black trunks crotch piece and keep the arms legs and head to make a perfect classic Batman. The stupid pouchless belt annoys me so much on this design.

It’s pretty similar but I couldn’t tell if it was the exact same
