It took me 45 seconds at 8 clicks to grind 18g with the comandante c40 mk4. I think the key is to keep the grinder in an upright position and try to minimize movement to prevent coffe been jumping into the grinder so it goes faster into the burrs.

Hi, nice video, I’m using JMax for more than 2 months, and I can say it’s really a great grinder specially for the price. And with all the accessories included.
I'm loving my J-max too, but I have to say I wouldn't want a slower or less convenient hand grinder, so the C40 would be a non starter for me, even if some may prefer the flavour profile
One selling point for me on the comandante is that it is all stainless steel. The JMAX has an aluminum body and I am not one to embrace heating and grinding in aluminum. Correct me if I am wrong.
I use the C-40 for filter coffee and average grind time is about 1 minute ++ So far so good, but I agree that using it to grind for espresso is kinda too much work so if you are dialing in your coffee.
You really need to do a BLIND taste test. The flaw here, is that even after a clean spoon and a mouth rinse, you still just "warmed up" your taste buds on cup1 for cup 2. Try them in reverse order, or go totally blind and see if the results change.
Was fun watching and surprisingly it discovered some very informative issues regarding time and the differences between the two high end grinders. I think if I had the choice now, I would choose the K-Max just on the amount of time I would need at 5am in the morning, The Max gets my vote.
