#Joinery #Woodworking - Навчання та стиль
Lots of good ideas, a master class on working mainly on your own, great teaching while creating a beautiful piece of joinery and a good choice of music too. What more could anyone ask for 🌞
From Angus (5 1/2 years old): I really like your woodwork. It’s very very impressive. It makes me want to do woodwork with my Daddy. Have a good New Year 😎😆😁😁😄😃😀❤️
Well Angus, you are starting your woodworking journey even younger than me my friend. Perservere and you will suceed :) 💚
Been following this from the start your level of perfection is incredible 👏 I'm a joiner myself but this is brilliant 👏 👌
Stunning door frame. Thanks for all the great tips.
In London some people charge £6000 for supplying and fitting a mass-produced door (half the width). The joinery service you provide is fabulous.
This frame construction has really been interesting to watch as I always looked forward to the next video.
I was expecting it to be sprayed, i suppose you've plenty experience with the brush, so i look forward to seeing it completed and installed 👍
Others have said the same but it all helps for the algorithm; looks incredible dude and you’re giving me something to aim for at the start of my joinery journey.
Learning a lot and enjoying the series!
That’s really going to be an extraordinary entrance when it’s installed!
And also - store your paint cans upside down. That way you have a seal at the lid to keep the air out.
Ollie, it is a joy to watch your work, but even more to hear you explain what you are doing and why. And, the tip for using the cling film on the paint cans is a game-changer: I have been using that technique since you first demonstrated it. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Stunning workmanship 👏👏👏
Looks brilliant, I’d be measuring it multiple times daily with the old anxiety 😂
Metal man has a ‘hard as F’ vibe today! Waking in like a bouncer, take him with you for the money 😜👍🏻
Fantastic series of videos, very impressive work !!!!
can't believe it got painted
Amazing job.
Can’t add anything more here…. Just beautiful young man
Nice to see it upright and painted. Thanks for the tips along the way. Looking forward to seeing the door build. Cheers. Jim
Simply amazing to watch this build from end to end. Very much looking forward to the next steps... and eventually the installation!!
Coming right along, incredible! Thanks for the tips on sealers and painting.
Just beautiful
Just incredible!
Brilliant work
Thanks for the tip on using the plastic wrap-off to get a roll today
Can't wait to see the door!
Amazing mate
Thanks 😁
I'm not sure why Festool doesn't sell belt sanders in North America, but they don't.
WOW!
Most Excellent🧐
Superb series of videos. Looking forward to the door build. All the best for the new year. Cheers 🍻 Ollie.
Looks mint👍
Beautiful workmanship love your videos keep up the good work and have a Happy New Year
Super informative with every action described in detail.
This is the kind of high quality work that really shows the depth of the trade. Real skills.
I’d get rid of the dangly thing around your neck though.
Thanks!, Its the remote to start and stop my extractor. best place that it doesnt get false triggered by leaning on something
The difference between craftsmanship and artistry is in the details. I don’t know if you realize that you are a couple of levels better than that. I’m a pretty good cabinet and trim worker but you raise the bar.
You are one gifted fxxxxr.
Love the jointing tip with the filler.
One thing, I hope the clients Mrs has ok’ed the colour, would be a pain to change 😂
Nice one Ollie great work ! Happy Christmas Simmo
Happy christmas Simmo
It’s a big bugger mate😳😎
Love this and wonder about the relative cost compared to a similar door & frame constructed from uPVC or composite by one of the big replacement companies
I delivered some stair steps I made out of all wood a heart doctor wanted ! I got there and there was this beautiful mahogany double door with side lights as you enter ? So I am impressed it looks like a real jointer like you built this !
Then I see something weird? So I ask who installed this beautiful set of doors? “ oh we had our maintenance crew do it?” “ Why Sir?”
So I deliver the news? “IT IS BACKWARDS “!
Ppl always trying to save a buck mounting a diamond!
haha legend, i bet there were some red faces or bad excuses ahha
@@BradshawJoinery here are their exact words “it’s that why we can not get it to open right”? Yes mam that would be the cause!
Bet that’s well heavy ❤
Theres a heavy duty pad from Festool I use for the lower grits , lasts a long time
not the cork/steel one? a different one?
@@BradshawJoinery yeah cork steel one - rep advised it was intended for lower grits 40-80 , I use it on the 105.
😊
👍pucker
Lovely work as always. I have a heavy duty contact pad on my festool belt sander. Its made of Cork and steel, I bought 2 at the time but I've never actually needed to change it so far
i tried it when i bought it, have you ever tried the graphite ones? THe stainless one killed the accuracy of mine when i tried it. Sands very flat with the graphite, just a servicable item every few months, they are fairly good value to be fair,
@BradshawJoinery I used the ones that came with it which were graphite. I've forgotten what they're like, I use it quite infrequently to be fair.
Beautiful work. Curious, how many hours have you put into it?
That looks awesome when it upright, it’s huge!
Looking forward to the door construction videos now.
What wood filler did you use please?
Think your next project ought be an acoustic wall, just to keep george at bay. 😂
Would the finish not turn out better is sprayed
Incredible solo job for such a chunky entry system. Are you going to put some sort of bituthene membrane on the bottom surface?
Love to know how much this is going to cost. I’d reckon £900+ for the sapele alone. Obviously confidential to client. Fantastic job.
The first video's in the series called it a £10k build.
Put some “ Flotrol” in your paint you brush on and with the right Purdy Brush you can hide those brush strokes ?
i have put one finish coat on, but i think i will for the last coat, good gear isnt it!
@@BradshawJoinery I absolutely enjoyed this build. I mean you can be a seasoned accomplished jointer / carpenter like you & still sweat these jobs and hv a few sleepless nights . Yes a good brush, paint, & some flotrol bring out the wonderful work like this job ! Just amazing , amazing joinery !
Thought you were going to do yourself an injury there lifting that solo
I was wondering, don’t you wipe down Sapele with meths before painting? You don’t use a primer or undercoat?
Great job - what make of filler did you use
I use Ronseal 2 part filler as it dries really quick and doesn’t shrink
Thanks
bonda
Sadly the belt sander you feature here isn’t available directly in the US, but neither did I see it listed on Festool UK or Amazon UK. Where did you source yours, and do you know if the belt sander is still in Festool’s current line up?
I think the discontinued it a few years ago unfortunately. 😩
What paint are you using?
👊🫡
No primer.what paint is that
Why were the faces painted if it was all going to be sanded off after glue up? Probably a simple answer but I have no idea haha
I sprayed the edges to get even buildup quickly and it oversprays the face
@@BradshawJoinery ah thanks for that, appreciate you taking the time to reply. Great series!
