Great Gameplay. Personally I used Amirite Necklace instead of Divine Pillar, It is bought in Club Escapade for 500K, It makes you completely immunity to all Status Effects including Shock and freeze, I just gave my personas firm stance.
Something you didnt realize, Elizabeth does indeed have weaknesses and in fact she takes MORE damage from those than normal crits or weaknesses, so those are the ones to exploit for damage, and when THESE ARE HIT, she will skip the next persona in her cycle and do the one after. Hit Surt with Ice, she moves to Thor instead of jack frost and so on. In addition she only buffs if you let her cycle normally, if you attack her weaknesses she will almost never buff. Moves like Die for me, Judgement and other such tactics also wont trigger when she arrives at that persona this way.
Thanks for this, I'll add it to my guide! I do know she takes more damage to those weak elements, that's why I do Inferno mostly after Jack Frost. I didn't realize that's why she skips turns though, that's good to know! If I do Inferno on non-Jack Frost, it's because I want purposely low damage to get her close to 13K HP (her next phase), then when I'm close to 13K HP I do a powerful attack to get her down to 10K quickly otherwise she spams Megidolan after a few turns. She also buffs if she gets a lucky critical on you too and gets an extra turn, not lucky but does happen sometimes with her physical attacks for me.
I hope that if they manage to make mods for this game, that they make a mod so you can do this fight but with all party members but a much buffed Elizabeth. Heck, it would be interesting if you couldn't use armageddon by giving her a endure and that "phase 4" is enterely replaced by an extra phase.
If you don't have Orpheus Telos you can make a similar build using Yurlungur in its stead. You just need to give it resist Dark since you don't actually need magic ability thanks to the weapon in this video. Healing is a bit more important since you won't be resisting as much. Don't let her HP pool psyche you out either. If you focus on hitting her at the right moment you'll be dealing anywhere from 900-2800 damage a hit depending if you can land an inferno on Jack frost or not. It's easier to think of her as taking anywhere from 20-40 hits. Also, if you have gems that deal set damage it can be useful to reliably chip her HP at the end phase 1 to get it as close to 1300 as possible. If you line it up you can bring her down from 1300 to just barely over 10k before Phase 2 even starts with a well timed concentrated inferno on jack frost assuming she's fully debuffed and you're buffed. Also, one thing I did was spend basically all of my money (ended up being about 4.5 million yen. I was looking for a resist dark card for... a while) to buy gems to trade for incense to get all my stats up to 99 (or rather 92 since the weapon listed gives +7 to all stats). This helps hit harder but also will also make you be able to take more hits since you won't be resisting every element. Thanks for this video btw! Wouldn't have been able to get this done without you. One last question, did you choose Inferno on purpose or was it just the first element that came to mind? The way the fight is structured it's a lot easier to land the super effective hit on Jack Frost compared to the other ones. Especially because the likes of Metatron, Alice, and Nebrios are best spent for healing.
Thanks for these tips! They're very useful, I will add them to the guide. With your last question, you read me like a book - I was a fan of Thunder Reign from the old Persona 3's, it's very easy to get, but I couldn't get the pattern working, so I switched to Inferno.
Cool, i used the cendrillion strategy with max stats, to apply scarlet havok with critical to reduce Elizabeth life to the half so she uses the first diarahan and then use orpheus telos at max stats with morning star and use the trickster theurgy, and after reducing her life again to the half so she casts the 10k megidolaon, and finally use armageddon to finish the fight. I know the majority don't use dlc, but after many attemps, that worked for me
Just a question: Why put Magic Ability on Telos when you have Lucifer's Blade? I don't think the same skills stack so it's going to treat it like you only have 1 Magic Ability buff.
Sucks that High Counter can't be used for this battle anymore. Took me a lot of trial and error to figure out that she gets mad if you enter the fight with full theurgy as well.

Just beat Liz here were my builds: Telos (Mag, En, Agi, Lu Stats 1 or 2 points away from 99): Inferno Fire Amp + Fire Boost + Single-Target Boost Concentrate Spell Master Insta-Heal Endure Endure replaced Magic Ability because: Magic Ability is already on Lucifer's Blade. This Persona will always do the attacking, whenever you do damage, use Telos. In phase 3, Telos should always attack so you can safely Endure Liz's second and last Megidolaon. Saki Mitama (En, Agi, Lu Stats almost at 99): Heat Riser + Debilitate Spell Master Regenerate 3 Resist Phys + Resist Light + Resist Dark (Saki Now has the same resistances as Telos) Insta-Heal Purely Support, no need for an attack skill or Endure since you shouldn't be tanking Megidolaons with your Support. Auto Persona + Enduring Soul (Neko Shogan, Stats Don't really matter) Auto Mataru + Maraku + Masuku Enduring Soul Insta-Heal Other Skills don't matter for this fight. This Persona will basically start you with Heat Riser and you will use this Persona to tank Liz's first delayed Megidolaon.
Beat her yesterday. But I didn't have Orpheus Telos and used Messiah instead (with Phys Resist). Also I farmed 200 bonus HP for main character (with Tartarus HP Major Arcana Cards) and used Regenerate 3 to regen 60 HP every turn so I don't need to heal myself every few turns.
thank you for this. im having trouble because i maxed all the social links but i missed some of the linked episodes, which made me unable to fuse telos in my current playthough so i chose to run a fire messiah instead. is there some sort of pattern or particular order on which personas she summons on phase 3? looks random from what i've seen so far and i dont want my messiah to unintentionally repel some light and dark attacks. lol
Thanks for the kind comment! No, the third pattern is not random, but it has the final extra alternating turn so it looks kinda messy but it's really not. Be careful, the personas aren't random but the moves are I think, so if you can't repel light and dark then you can't use your persona the turn before she uses Metatron or Alice. Here, I'll write down her persona order, keep reading: 1 - Surt, Jack Frost 2 - Thor, Surt 3 - Metatron, Alice 4 - Nebiros, Thor 5 - Jack Frost, Thor 6 - Alice, Surt 7 - Chu, Metatron 1 - Surt, Jack Frost 2 - Thor, Surt 3 - Metatron, Alice 4 - Nebiros, Thor 5 - Jack Frost, Thor 6 - Alice, Surt 7 - Chu, Metatron 8 - Alice, Masakados Now repeat these cycles. Basically she gets the 8th turn every two cycles.
I may do this later, but it's not too bad. Use skill cards you find too. Let me know which skill you're having trouble with or which persona. Orpheus Telos is easy, he has 5 personas to make him and he has a lot of slots where you can just place the inherited skills, and you can choose inherited skills so it's easy. Chi You is probably tough, what I did was go to the Antique shop and trade in gems for resist skill cards and put them onto Chi You, I hope you have access to the shops, if you're on the last day in Tartarus it might be too late but there's a lot of personas with resist skills you can fuse together. For Pixie I just used skill cards I got, you can use any persona for my pixie's purpose. One trick too is to just keep fusing like mad, you can inherit skills and fuse high level personas together to make low level personas and you can fuse them up again. Yeah I've been talking to a lot of people and not only did people miss social links but a lot of people missed the new Link Episodes, which are required to be able to fuse some personas required for Orpheus Telos too. Once you understand the rules the fight is actually pretty fun as you say!

Yeah, but technically she survives because of endure, so she's not really sacrificed, she's alive and I switch to another persona. If it's not one of these gimmicky Atlus optional bosses then I like making ultimate pixies. I hear people talking about a SMT 5 remaster with additions, if that's true I'll try making pixie a staple of my next team.
I did a playthrough and was lucky to get a lot of cards with skills from just playing, but I did a lot of fusion too. Skill cards I only use for a last skill or two I want on a persona. Orpheus Telos is easy to get a build for because you fuse 5 (or 6?) personas to make it and now you can choose inherited skills, so I just keep fusing like mad. But if you want step by step try this useful resource: aqiu384.github.io/megaten-fusion-tool/p3r/recipes , it has a calculator that shows step by step how to make it, just put in the skills you want.

Then realised I didn't have the boots to stop the insta Death from her Alice 😭 ate my enduring soul up and I've just given up now, already 100% the game besides this so just gonna move onto P4

But basically you can't Null/Absorb/Repel any of her attacks, you can't have Counter or those kinds of passives on your personas, and you cannot take too long during the battle, in some of her phases if you take too long she spams.
I swear I've only seen people attempt this fight with just makoto. Is the fight meant to be like that or is everyone just choosing to do the fight that way for the challenge? Because I havent seen a single other party member in any videos with this fight.
Phase 2 info is somewhat wrong, she doesnt use the same combinations of persona every time, if i had to guess it depends on the fight which patterns she uses.
@@BAIGAMING Ok i double triple checked my above comment is also wrong, its just that the list in your guide was off in a few places, she DOES repeat the patterns but the persona are different sometimes she does throw out a different combination. Also if you dekaja or Debilitate her when she starts phase 3 she uses Surt and Jack Frost to buff otherwise she attacks with them. the persona patterns in phase 3 are this: 1 - Surt, Jack Frost (Either both will use magic or both will buff) 2 - Thor, Cu chullain (Buff and attack) 3 - Metatron, Alice (Attack)/ Rarely may become Thor and Jackfrost 4 - Nebiros, Thor (Nebiros may use Debilitate) 5 - Jack Frost, Thor 6 - Alice, Surt 7 - Cu chullain, Masakado (Megidolaon) After she runs through these 2 times she will add an 8th turn which will have Alice and Masakado again with a Megidolaon (normal) at the end. Also unlike in phase 1 Masakado's Megidolaon has no concentrate so it's easier to handle, attacking weaknesses doesn't alter her pattern. For this whole battle on merciless your gonna want 3 persona with a specific severe Magic attack (with maxed magic and endurance or as high as you can get it). At least one with Debilitate and Heat riser (make sure to keep it's affinity in mind so you dont have it out at a bad time, especially in phase 3). Orpheus Telos is a must, I personally made mine a physical damage dealer so I could deal some decent damage with a crit or without (crit boost and crit amp help) regardless of which persona she had out (minus those that null strike). Naturally STR and End should be as high as possible. Elizabeth Resists Almighty so especially on Merciless its pointless to use it. As you stated one persona with Enduring soul and one with Endure mind you both need to be able to deal damage. Magic damage items are good when you are very close to 13000 in phase 1 and 10000 in phase 3. Using Best Friends Theurgy and Fuuka in the battle to cover you is very helpful, some thuergy attacks help a lot. For equipment: Lucifer's blade (magic boost effect), the magic boost effect combined with the boost and amps on the persona and concentrate when i could get it up increased damage output a lot. Armor of Light, is great because it reduces the magic damage she deals. Shoe's of Light has Ali dance which increases your evasion rate. Divine pillar is good for reducing damage yes, but when she charges or uses concentrate, it doesnt help much at all. On the other hand Ali Dance's evasion ensures you can avoid a lot of her attacks IN GENERAL, so its overall a lot less damage added up. For the accessory I bought an accessory from Escapade which nulls ailments, Incense box is a good alternative but it can still be dangerous if she hits you with an ailment and then attacks. No you just have to get to December I believe and then complete the retrieve the bloody button quest by killing the reaper which then grants you the defeat the ultimate opponent request which spawns her.
I think it's easier because even though this game has merciless difficulty there's so many quality of life improvements in Reload such as it being easier to fuse perfect personas due to being able to choose skill inheritance (original and FES didn't, maybe Portable did have that though). I like being able to see the buffs/debuffs and even if you have charge and concentrate. The antique shop in Reload lets you make ultimate gear and it seems easy to me, and leveling up personas to get the heart items needed for ultimate gear is easy too. Fuuka can give you an emergency heal or buffs or charge in this version. The health bar is a nice addition too in Reload, but it's not always reliable (it's tricky to tell 50% exactly for instance) so you'll probably have to bring out your calculator anyways. Maybe I have more experience from fighting all previous Elizabeths that make this version easier for me too.
It's wayy easier but still the hardest velvet room attendant. Being able to pick any skills on your personas and not having to use Infinity changes a lot.
Hmm I didn't know, I might've tested out my personas on random encounters before the boss fight, so I got some arcana cards from shuffle time but I'm not sure which ones I got, I can't go back and check I don't have the save file.
She has "rules" that make her instantly kill you if you break them. Most notably, you can't null, drain, or reflect any of her attacks. Check to make sure none of your personas are immune to attacks in some way. Also, if a counter ability triggers against her she will also kill you.
See what David said. She might spam Megidolaon if you're taking too long as well. I would've liked one fight that's 1 vs 1, and one fight that's the whole party. The Reaper is an alright fight and is the whole party, but I wish there was something on par with Elizabeth that was a whole party boss fight. I didn't have a reason to optimize builds for my other party members as a result.

But basically you can't Null/Absorb/Repel any of her attacks, you can't have Counter or those kinds of passives on your personas, and you cannot take too long during the battle, in some of her phases if you take too long she spams.
I swear I've only seen people attempt this fight with just makoto. Is the fight meant to be like that or is everyone just choosing to do the fight that way for the challenge? Because I havent seen a single other party member in any videos with this fight.
You’re meant to face her alone.
In the original, it is required to fight her alone or else she will ONE SHOT YOU. it's the same here.
You can't enter the door to fight her at all unless you're alone in reload

Phase 2 info is somewhat wrong, she doesnt use the same combinations of persona every time, if i had to guess it depends on the fight which patterns she uses.

@@BAIGAMING Ok i double triple checked my above comment is also wrong, its just that the list in your guide was off in a few places, she DOES repeat the patterns but the persona are different sometimes she does throw out a different combination.
Also if you dekaja or Debilitate her when she starts phase 3 she uses Surt and Jack Frost to buff otherwise she attacks with them.
the persona patterns in phase 3 are this:
1 - Surt, Jack Frost (Either both will use magic or both will buff)
2 - Thor, Cu chullain (Buff and attack)
3 - Metatron, Alice (Attack)/ Rarely may become Thor and Jackfrost
4 - Nebiros, Thor (Nebiros may use Debilitate)
5 - Jack Frost, Thor
6 - Alice, Surt
7 - Cu chullain, Masakado (Megidolaon)
After she runs through these 2 times she will add an 8th turn which will have Alice and Masakado again with a Megidolaon (normal) at the end.
Also unlike in phase 1 Masakado's Megidolaon has no concentrate so it's easier to handle, attacking weaknesses doesn't alter her pattern.
For this whole battle on merciless your gonna want 3 persona with a specific severe Magic attack (with maxed magic and endurance or as high as you can get it). At least one with Debilitate and Heat riser (make sure to keep it's affinity in mind so you dont have it out at a bad time, especially in phase 3).
Orpheus Telos is a must, I personally made mine a physical damage dealer so I could deal some decent damage with a crit or without (crit boost and crit amp help) regardless of which persona she had out (minus those that null strike). Naturally STR and End should be as high as possible.
Elizabeth Resists Almighty so especially on Merciless its pointless to use it.
As you stated one persona with Enduring soul and one with Endure mind you both need to be able to deal damage.
Magic damage items are good when you are very close to 13000 in phase 1 and 10000 in phase 3.
Using Best Friends Theurgy and Fuuka in the battle to cover you is very helpful, some thuergy attacks help a lot.
For equipment: Lucifer's blade (magic boost effect), the magic boost effect combined with the boost and amps on the persona and concentrate when i could get it up increased damage output a lot.
Armor of Light, is great because it reduces the magic damage she deals.
Shoe's of Light has Ali dance which increases your evasion rate.
Divine pillar is good for reducing damage yes, but when she charges or uses concentrate, it doesnt help much at all. On the other hand Ali Dance's evasion ensures you can avoid a lot of her attacks IN GENERAL, so its overall a lot less damage added up.
For the accessory I bought an accessory from Escapade which nulls ailments, Incense box is a good alternative but it can still be dangerous if she hits you with an ailment and then attacks.

No you just have to get to December I believe and then complete the retrieve the bloody button quest by killing the reaper which then grants you the defeat the ultimate opponent request which spawns her.

Yep, this messed up a lot of playthroughs since they locked personas behind Linked Episodes.
Would you say reload made this battle easier or harder?
I think it's easier because even though this game has merciless difficulty there's so many quality of life improvements in Reload such as it being easier to fuse perfect personas due to being able to choose skill inheritance (original and FES didn't, maybe Portable did have that though). I like being able to see the buffs/debuffs and even if you have charge and concentrate. The antique shop in Reload lets you make ultimate gear and it seems easy to me, and leveling up personas to get the heart items needed for ultimate gear is easy too. Fuuka can give you an emergency heal or buffs or charge in this version. The health bar is a nice addition too in Reload, but it's not always reliable (it's tricky to tell 50% exactly for instance) so you'll probably have to bring out your calculator anyways. Maybe I have more experience from fighting all previous Elizabeths that make this version easier for me too.
It's easier to prepare for her battle because random inherit is no more.

It's wayy easier but still the hardest velvet room attendant. Being able to pick any skills on your personas and not having to use Infinity changes a lot.
Also heat riser, debilitate, charge and concentrate are things in this game, power/ mind charge where just broken in FES as well

Hmm I didn't know, I might've tested out my personas on random encounters before the boss fight, so I got some arcana cards from shuffle time but I'm not sure which ones I got, I can't go back and check I don't have the save file.

I keep getting hit with megidolaon 3 turns in a row, what am I doing wrong?
She has "rules" that make her instantly kill you if you break them. Most notably, you can't null, drain, or reflect any of her attacks. Check to make sure none of your personas are immune to attacks in some way. Also, if a counter ability triggers against her she will also kill you.
See what David said. She might spam Megidolaon if you're taking too long as well. No, theres no paradigm door in Reload. Tbh, kinda disappointing seeing it was also an efficient way to grind things like persona stat cards 🫤

I wished the game gave you an option to fight with the whole party. While a 1v1 is thematically cool, gameplay wise.... Not so much imo
I would've liked one fight that's 1 vs 1, and one fight that's the whole party. The Reaper is an alright fight and is the whole party, but I wish there was something on par with Elizabeth that was a whole party boss fight. I didn't have a reason to optimize builds for my other party members as a result.
