Nice, amazingly looked after, paint work looks lovely. My brother has a black flat nose, you guys probably know him, Sid of Porsche Torque. Side note, I feel sorry for whoever was filming from the back seat.
Hi there Amir. Yes, we know Sid very well indeed. Matt who does all the filming is indestructible. We are thinking of gaffer taping him to the side of a car for the next video to get some high speed action shots of the car under way.....
I love the 80s, I love Porsche, I loved this video, my favourite of all the road Porsches. As I write this, there's a black flatnose for sale for £145k and I sit here weighing up the consequences of remortgaging a portion of the house to park it on my drive!
Thanks for the kind words, more videos on the way, just trying to fit them in whilst running around doing the day to day buying and selling. Still playing catch up after being closed for the CV-19 lock down.
Thank you for the video. I have an 87 naturally aspirated 911. It is a slant nose conversion. Unfortunately, I cannot find out details as to how or where it was converted. I do not think it is from the factory. From what I have read that is extremely rare. It is a fantastic conversion. All the features of this car look just like the one you just demonstrated. Only difference, I have square headlights. Same vents front and by the rear tires. A steel conversion. Windshield wiper unit just behind the front tire. Also, appears to be a widebody in the rear but, I once again cannot find evidence of when that was done. Rear tires are huge, 335s. I also just watched your second video of a naturally aspirated 911 1987. Learned a lot, especially about the engine compartment. Thank you once again, Dr. Phil Prosapio Little Falls MINNESOTA
Hi there Dr Phil. There were a number of firms that did conversions both in Europe and the US. Your car won't be a factory model. It may have been based on a Supersport turbo bodied car or turbo bodied when the conversion was done. Enjoy the car and stay safe.
Thanks for the kind words. The first video we made, took us for ever to edit, we are evolving into it as we make more. Certainly an iconic car and symbolic of it's decade.
A little knowledge is a dangerous thing!! We are fortunate in having different people within 911 Virgin each with their own era of knowledge. Combined it covers quite a long time span.
Ive had 7 Porsches,4 911s, an 87 944 t,928, and a Euro 83 944 that I put an LS 2 in, it was a beast , and the quarter panels were so much bigger than other 44s I've seen, so I had a custom Porsche shop install a cold air intake, and had the hood made to look like the 930 turbos, took off the rubber tail, and put a whale tail on it, and sold it...it just looked so Fckn cool...
Very nice video, thanks for sharing. A suggestion would be to let’s hear what the car sounds like a bit more, especially the 911 Turbo’s that are quiet cars. Most owners or potential buyers would love to hear what one sounds like in anger, this was not reflected on here. Thanks once again.
A really valid point. This was the first video we made and we are evolving constantly. Audio is surprisingly difficult to get right and recording engine noise is something we are working on. These aren't massive high production videos, just simple ones we produce in house so we need to find a way of recording accurately. But we will find a solution eventually !
A 964 is definitely on the cards. A combination of waiting for the right car to come into stock and then having time and conditions to film. I'm hoping that summer provides more favourable weather.
Well the Levi 501, like the Porsche 911 is a design classic than spans decades so I suppose yes, you could say we are matching outfit to car. I'm not sure Henry would qualify as having any style in the formal sense though. He's been wearing those dealer boots for as long as anyone can remember. They even featured in early advertising when he wore a pair out after several millions of pounds worth of buying and selling! Vogue know where we are.... 😎
Another one of those cars that used to turn heads back in the day. Not sure the mechanicals ever quite lived up to the looks though. But yes, not dissimilar at all.
The front bumper is still functional and in those days would actually take a little tap without deforming and needing to be changed as per modern polyurethane (PU) bumpers.
Now there is a car that delivers a real sense of occasion to drive. I can still remember trips from over 20 years ago. We don't get that many in as finding good examples is hard but do have a couple that come through the showroom on occasion. I'll jump on it next time we see one.
My dad had one of these 911 930 rs slant nose turbos in the same color back in the 90's. He did put his foot down on a long "private road" and can confirm it did reach 174mph. Great car, unfortunately, it was stolen and never seen again.
@@911virgin8 I would imagine so, hardy any slant noses here in Australia and its not as if it had any boarders to cross. Back then the insurance payout was 60k which is nothing compared to where prices have gone now days.

Why? Being based outside Uxbridge in South Buckinghamshire we have no say in who they vote in for their MP. It's also worth mentioning that until proportional representation is introduced most people's votes and wishes are ignored. Uxbridge is a good example, the current MP got in despite 55% of the voters NOT voting for him. So 55% of the voters were ignored.
