- Ever heard of Tre Cime di Lavaredo? It's a private road in the Dolomites, Italy. You can drive up and camp at the top with a motorhome, campervan or even sleep overnight in your car.
More details can be found here: www.wandering-bird.com/tre-ci...
We visited Tre Cime di Lavaredo with our motorhome. It's expensive, but honestly worth every penny. It was SPECTACULAR- once the cloud cleared away!! We managed to get some incredible drone footage of the sunrise over Tre Cime and the Dolomite mountains.
If you only have time to visit one place in the Dolomites, this is absolutely the place to go. For more details, plus our full itinerary, map and route, heard to our website www.wandering-bird.com/destin...
In today's Dolomites vlog & blog, we drove the Tre Cime di Lavaredo road up to the top of the mountain in our camper- in thick cloud! When we arrived at the top we couldn't see anything! Luckily, the cloud around Tre Cime cleared and we were able to enjoy the incredible views out across the valley, Lake Misurina and the Dolomites.
We stayed up Tre Cime di Lavaredo for 2 nights with our motorhome- and hiked around the Tre Cime di Lavaredo loop. It was a magical place and we can't wait to share it with you.

I left my job to tour Europe in a motorhome. When not touring, we review motorhomes, ride motorbikes, pick up after our cocker spaniel puppy and enjoy spending time outdoors. Our home-base is a boat- a bit different from motorhome life!

Thank you for taking me on that eery trip up the mountain. What fantastic views when the clouds dispersed. Mac had another good run around then flopped. He’s a cutie x
He is a cutie. Glad you enjoyed it :)
Wow, loved that, I spent 7 days in La Villa Alta Badia in the summer of 2016, hiking and mountain biking, I fell in love with the place and promised myself I would return one day! Thanks so much for taking me back with you!!
I hope you make it back one day!
Fabulous spot. I'm glad the cloud moved. Oh, and I hate wasps too!

Thank you. Very kind.
Wonderous!!!! Totally worth the steep hill and the steep cost...lol.
Definitely. Would go back in a heartbeat.
Awesome!, i am going there next week :) - one question, did you see any bears?, there are approx 50 bears in northern Italy apparently, and i don't want to run into a bear! haha
They are "probably" more afraid of you but just keep your eyes open & be aware of them!
Amazing shots
and can we complete lake braies and cime di lavaredo in one day ??
Yep, if you get to Braies early enough. You might not be able to hike the whole loop up Tre Cime, but you can definitely drive up, walk for a while to see some of the views and get back down before dark.
AWESOME Views, definitely one for the bucket list...
(PS the nifty little phone holder clamped to the Clipboard thingy any details please,,Ta)
Absolutely. Do you mean the ipad holder or the thing I have my phone on?
@@WanderingBird the phone one please. Our Garmin just fits on the fiat 'jaws' 😀
Wow!
Isn't it! Such a stunning place.
Brilliant views, I bet you could fry a steak on your brake disks when you got to the Aire at the bottom.
Oh yeah- they were pretty warm!
