Many people believe it's important to live alone at least once in your life. Although I'm not quite doing that, I do get some alone time here and there in my condo and thought today I'd take you guys along for a few days of living solo.

after watching shelby's vlog ...this feels like an alternate reality version of the same day
So true, especially if you watch both videos directly after each other
I had the same reaction until Monica explained what was going on. 🙂
Do uou know it took me months to realize they were twins lol so I totally feel you on this I was like wow this girl is living a very full life
@@JessicaLaShawn they look so different though 😅
@@jj-if6it you’re right It was during the time they had the same hair color though.
Monica I’m a 64 year old Mom and I must say that you are one confident, beautiful woman. You’re thoughtful, funny and so real and I cannot get enough of your life. Thank you for sharing it with us on UA-cam.
I lived alone for years and years, and I was really never lonely. I’m a very outgoing person, but I loved having my home all to myself.
🙋🏻♀️same here. I have the option to choose if I want to relax or party 🤷🏻♀️
I've lived alone for the past 5 1/2 years, and I *love* not having to answer to anyone *and* having my place all to myself! I'm divorced and have no interest in dating or remarrying (one and done), and I have no kids. I can't see that changing.
Monica: sharing a house with Jason.
Also Monica: sharing a downtown apartment with her sister Shelby.
i just started watching but I'm already chuckling that she washed Shelbys sheets?
I dont understand whose apartment is this? :D
next time your in the “need toast, have no toaster” scenario, put that bread in the pan with some butter or olive oil or throw it in the oven for a few minutes!!
My husband and I were practically living together from the beginning of our relationship and actually moved in together after 4 months, so 8 months seems pretty fair to me lol. Whatever feels best and comfortable for y'all is all that matters.
I just wanna say how happy I am that you are making an effort to post more, the effort is noticed and greatly appreciated with your real estate job airbnb and everything.ooks like you've living your best life and I'm genuinely excited for you and what's to come.
Having grown up in Seattle this is such an idyllic vlog. Gorgeous condo with a view, pike place produce, the cutest cowboy by your side, Japanessa sushi. Doesn’t get more iconic Seattle living than this.
There is no “recipe” book for relationships, if you feel ready to live together before your 1st anniversary, do it, if after 10 years together you don’t feel the need to get married, that’s fine. Only you and Jason can tell how things are going and we can all see how happy you are with him! Hope it’s great, you deserve all those good things coming your way! Love you Monica!
So fun watching after Shelby’s vlog. She talked about this crazy weather too. I live north of downtown Seattle in the “convergence zone” so yeah the weather is so wacky. Love watching both of your videos so I can see downtown Seattle since I don’t work down there anymore. Miss the views but not the commute. Miss Pike Place Market too!
Your relationship with Jason seems really mature & healthy that it doesn't raise any concerns. Glad to see you happy and enjoying life. Love your Cowboy!!!
After watching Shelby’s vlog , i am so happy to see that youve uploaded as well ❤️❤️i love how different you both are and at the same time driven and motivated 🥰I love how supportive you both are of each other!
I was with my boyfriend for 5 months before moving in and now we've been married for 6 years :) trust your gut, sis 💛 happy for you!!
I completely agree about having your own fridge. It’s honestly such a great perk.
My boyfriend and I moved in together as friends even though we always kind of had a thing for each other. We were 20 and going to the same college and were both looking for a roommate. We never wanted to cross a line past friendship because we never wanted our friendship to end in the chance we got into a relationship and it didn't work out. We're 26 now and are a few months from our 6-year anniversary. We hit a few bumps after our honeymoon phase but living with your best friend, working through problems and navigating stressful things together really solidifies knowing that they're the one :) Do things on your timeline. You know what's best for you.
Edit: a perk of moving in as friends was getting a two-bedroom apartment at the time. We live in Downtown Toronto so we're thankfully in a rent-controlled unit with enough space for each of us to have our own little office area which has been a blessing now that we work from home. It's been fun
longtime subscriber here and i have been loving all your content recently! x
After being in a 5 year relationship and moving out on my own (with my trusty pup of course) I think at times it can be lonely but I also feel you get to know yourself a lot better. I’m pretty proud of buying my own place and making it my own, I think everyone should experience it some point in their life!
Love that this place is like your own personal hotel! It's a nice staycation whenever you want a different vibe!
I really love your vlogs, it’s my favorite content of yours. Happy you are doing those again!
Enjoy the condo ✨
Love these kinds of vlogs, Monica. Even without trying you motivate me to be more productive. 💕
i really like this kind of video! feels like we’re journeying along w you! also that meal thing is so cool!
I love how you mention living alone can be lonely at times, because this is so true in my experience. I have a family with children, but travel for work throughout the year. I'm always excited to get the alone time, but have moments where I feel very isolated. However, I think isolation is a good thing for the mind, and it keeps us strong as an individual. Definitely don't recommend cooking anything with plastic. Even though it says safe there are carcinogens that still enter the food in low amounts. However, we endure many carcinogenic items/food that can become high amounts when combined.
I loved this video Monica. Great music and I love it when your dog is in the video.
Thank you!
Such a beautiful place!! Looks like a wonderful few days.
Enjoy your stay!
I have been watching Shelby's vlogs and just watched your's for the first time! it's crazy how very very similar in looks, yet different you guys are! love both of you guys! ❤️
have lived alone for nearly 20 years. never felt lonely. it's almost as if it has nothing to do with being alone at all and more to do with knowing how to take care of yourself.
Same and totally agree!
The FaceTime between you & Jason was so wholesome!
He said. Tell me about your life. So sweet!
Love the vlog!
No toaster?!? Yes you do!! It’s the oven… put the bread on the wire at 250-300 for couple minutes to get it to your liking
ok, the B-Roll is so good👌
Thanks for being consistent recently!
This is me every day lol weeks upon weeks by myself with no social interaction (WFH). It’s amazing for socially anxious introverts 😄
What’s your story Ethan ,if you don’t mind sharing.Thanks.
The sunset views from the apartment were gorgeous!
No girl, I have a one bedroom in SLU by myself and LOVE IT! There is no better company than your own and a true sign of emotional evolution to be happy solo and with others. I love both options. So happy for your DT condo arrangement and the joy you get from time spent there! It must be fun to see the weather coming in from the Sound to the west. I used to live above Pike Place Market and miss it, the food aromas and sounds in the morning. Glad to hear your relationship is so seamless and a comfort with good company. Cheers Monica!

Views from the apartment are awesome. Great sunsets 🌇
I still cannot get over that view!! Love all of the windows in that unit 😍
Looked like a special day and a change of routine. A change of location with picturesque outside view, ( plus add in the high-up in the sky factor), makes one feel better. (In my humble 😊 opinion). Thanks for the chill-vid.!!!
Can we just say how cute the pup is!! Such sweet manners :)
I know so many people who moved in together so quickly on. It feels like when it fits it fits . my ex and I moved in together quickly too, and we're not together anymore but that has nothing to do with us living together. that part was the best actually
Funny, when me and my now wife dated first years ago, she pretty much did the same, like it just happened accidentally. She was staying over almost every night, but was still going home to her place every day for a bit to get clothes or whatever needed to be done. I guess it just happens like that, there was no “we’re living together now”, it just flows that way.
Me and my husband moved In together after a month together lmao. Celebrating 9 years together this year and just celebrated our 5 year marriage anniversary 😌 it’s really true, “when you know, you know.”
Cow napping on the couch behind you looking all cozy is everything! ❤
Love your vlogs so much! Looks like a nice chill time alone 😊
🔝📩 📫Thanks for watching,pm above to claim gift🎁📦
Cal know his way around Seattle. Love it!!!!
Thanks for sharing the city Monica. Plus you weren't alone you had Cal.
Monica! Do you have a podcast?? If you don’t please consider making one!💗
I’ve lived alone for three years and I absolutely love it. I’m never lonely at all 😅
Post Alley has my favorite tea shop! I always order from them.
super nice view to wake to wow . great music on this video . thanks for posting . japanese food looks amazing
wow I'm early. Love your videos Monica!
Loved the vlog Monica !
Monica, I really enjoy watching your videos and lookup to you and Shelby for what you're doing with your lives and careers! I also appreciate how real and relatable you come across. I LOLd when you said you had all the ingredients for avocado toast but no toaster 😂 In a pinch you could toast your bread in the oven! 350 degrees for 4-5 minutes on each side. Thanks for sharing your journey, and for being you! Much love from one girl in the PNW to another. ✌️❤️
Clearly I didn't read the comments before posting, because everyone is saying the same thing lol
I’m usually forcing myself to be around people for 48 hours.
So true! LOL
Relatable
Stunning view of the city
Can’t wait to watch your videos driving with Shelby back from Palm Springs.
one thing i I like about the twins is that no matter how successful they are, they are still humble and frugal. I mean Monica is rich but she mentioned waiting for the coral shoe to go on sale I thought that was funny cuz i do the same lol Also love how they are always so appreciative of the life they are leading.
Was thinking the same thing. (:
So excited to end this vlog on a ROAD TRIP!!!
No toaster -----OVEN. You can toast bread in the oven. Turn it on really hot stick them in /broil will work too
Love the editing in this video
I feel like when you know you know love always wins💜😊 and I am new subscriber has in like two weeks ago I came across your channel.
My husband and I moved in after 3 months, married 1 year together and currently 11 years very happily married
I look forward to any of your videos!
8 months isn't too fast. And you're right, when it works it works. Do you and stop caring about what others "think" you should be doing and how. Awesome channel!
Monica I love and the videos that you make more especially this kind of vidoes
You can toast bread in the oven. I find the lower rack works better for my own oven. Just might take a little longer than using a toaster.
Love You and the video as always! The Cow music was epic!
So fun watching
Thanks For Sharing Your Interesting Video With Us.
Literally ate that soup for work everyday this week it was soooo good
Nice to see Monica happy with a new adventure, what about the dog?✌️❤️🇬🇧 much love Monica
I love your vlogs!
Huge milk chocolate fan!!! I live in Europe now and have easy access to all the great milk chocolates from Switzerland and Belgium.
Back when I lived in California I only ate dark chocolate because I got influenced that it was "healthier". But turns out it always made me sneeze and my mouth tingle because I'm slightly allergic to it and can't have it in such high concentrations. A really good high quality milk chocolate doesn't give me any reactions and tastes amazing. I never eat dark chocolate anymore. Milk chocolate for the win :)
Just a tip, you can toast bread in the oven! Some people preheat to 300ish, I just put it on the top rack and turn on the broiler, then flip sides after a few mins! You can put it on a pan or a piece of aluminum foil.
If this is what life in Seattle looks like, then… I’m moving there! Haha
But, seriously, really enjoyed this vlog and am very happy you’re posting regularly again, Monica 👍
just watched Shelby’s vid and now urs 😍
Use the oven as a toaster!!! You can use the broil setting to make it faster but on low!
My now husband and I met on Tinder 6 years ago. After 6 months of dating, we moved in together. So I don't think it's a negative thing. No judgement here. It was the best decision we ever made.
8 months can seem fast but i know people who date and move immediately in with each other, for better or for worse. it all depends and its never something with strict guidelines, as long as it promotes a healthy relationship and it helps you two grow as individuals and as a couple.
Team Milk Chocolate over here! Totally going to try that brand!
I moved in with my boyfriend (now husband) 6months after we met. It just felt right for us.
Love this vlog! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
📩 📫Thanks for watching,pm above to claim gift📦
I like this Monica!!!!
Love you and Jason together ❤️
Alsoooo, I believe you can use the stove or oven to toast your bread!
the shots of that view 😮
Me tooo! My boyfriend and I moved in together around the 8 month of dating and yeah no one really thought it was too soon either lol but it was my first time living with a partner and I was surprised by the lack of reaction Lolol but I think times have changed and adults do move in together 😂 he also hated high rise buildings (I lived in them for years) we ended up finding a home but i still appreciate the aesthetic of a high rise🙌🏻. 🤗 loved the video 🌺
Having the same problem right now!
The apartment is stunning. Those views! BTW, if you have aluminum foil you can toast bread in the broiler on a piece of foil - for avocado 🥑 toast 🍞
Monica (and Shelby) we literally have the same body type so I am here for allllllllll of the outfit inspiration because…we are unique 😂 its just a bonus of watching you guys 🤙🏼
I am also a Realtor/RE Investor/ Airbnb Owner and Traveller so we could be friends 🤷♀️
You can use your oven to toast bread set it to broil high and put it in and watch it cause it will brown up quick
Wow Cow looks extra cute in today's video!
My now husband and I moved in together after being together for 8 months! Only one person said "wow don't you think that's soon?!" That person also ended up meeting someone, got married and had a kid within the time my husband and I got married. I just find it interesting lol!
I knew within a month that my boyfriend/husband is special
Was this filmed on the sony camera? What lens are you using? The quality of this video looks AMAZING, def looks like you put a lot of effort into it
Cow is living his best Seattle life!!
You can toast your toast in the oven on broil :) or even just bake it
You can easily toast bread in the oven on bake or broil. Either way, you’ve got to watch it closely. But it toasts just as good or better than a toaster. :)
Wow didn’t realize Shelby’s place was THAT high up, that would scare me so bad!! 😂 it’s so beautiful tho!!
Just fyi.. you can fry bread into toast.. you can even make toast in the oven. 😉🥰 love your vlogs!
Just an idea for getting food and worried about leaving your dog alone, some restaurants will still do curbside pickup if you ask! One good thing that came out of covid lol
Great video.
I’m in the same situation as you right now. Both roommates are out of town so it’s just me and the pups which is great but I get what you mean by not having any social interactions 😆
