Overdrive green can also sound very vintage if you keep the Gain around 4 or 5. Even ultra gaim Red can be made to sound like a cranked old school Marshall if you set the Gain between 2 and 3 and roll off the volume on the guitar to between 7 and 8 and roll the tone off to 8 to take out some fizzy high end . I actually like the ultra Gain red with the gain set low and guitar volume rolled off more then the ultra Gain green. The ultra red with lower Gain settings is fuller and has more body . With thicker fuller lower mids . Very new wave of British heavy metal.
Marshall have admitted there was a problem with the gyrator circuit which caused the hum and hiss noise. They said the new Dsl's have had the upgrade. How do I know that the Amp I order is a new one or one which still has the noise issue?
Aw gee sus ! Yap yap yap and more yap ! I haven't found anything that tops my pair of Marshall 79 50w master volume mk2 2 x12 combos, I'd say say that probably the recent amp offerings are more bread and butter stuff for the manufacturers, can't see these amps going on for 40 plus years trouble free.
And from where did you get that?! I think it’s b……t! Why shouldn’t they be able to make a Marshall in Vietnam? How many of the parts in a UK made Marshall do you think is made there?

Yeah you can get the Marshall sound you want it’s in there
My Gawd. Just fast forward to 4:45.
Cool video of one of the best Marshallamps!!!!
How does this amp compare to the JCM900 SL-X?
I have both of those amps. 50 watt SL-X with KT77 power tubes is just on another level
❤😮🎉mines rippen
it's a dsl40cr , not a dsl40c.

@@truckergilligangilligan5877 the CR’s have 13 knobs. The C only has 11
I heard the demos of your voices, would have loved to hear more of the amp tho 😢
"At a price point you wont believe" you got that right they are over 1k now!!!
Because they are quality. Any amp that has not increased in price has decreased in quality.
@@harpsinclairmusic were they not high-quality before covid? They were $700 new then. 🤔
down to 729. now
i sold my laney,to buy a dsl 5 cr., and i never went back !

I bet you can play a badass A, G, and D chord combination.
@@smooshpig lol ! You wanna hear the A D and E 😁 best wishes to you, 🙂👍🇬🇧
Yeah 40 years is definitely bullshit, but you probably could get 10-15 years out of it.
30 % failure rate. Marshall saves so much money making them over seas that they don't care. Make them in England !

@@matsandersson8857 It's true. Look it up.
