Would it even fit thematically? Even when Venom was an anti-hero, he & Spidey didn't team up all that often.
Neoxon You could do something similar to Spider-Mans regular Level 3. Venom tries attack Spidey, but instead hits the enemy or something.
There's plenty of room for innovation. (Though Spidey's Level 3 is still lack-luster and kinda dissappointing.)

The main problem with having more of these is that, for now, there aren't enough relationships between the current Capcom characters. A lot of Capcom series either have 2 characters in this game(usually one hero and one villain), or just one character.
Character relationships in games like this makes the game so much more entertaining
This is the sort of easter egg we used to see sprinkledd throughout the Capcom and SNK fighters of the 90s. It added soul to those games and made them more than just exercises in inechanics and gameplay. The devs were paying tribute to the fans, saying 'we know who these characters are and we thank you for continuing to care about them.'
People that scoff at story in fighters will never understand that these embellishments are necessary to audience engagement beyond the niche.

They seriously need to do this for X & Zero as well. If the S2 rumors are true, also do this for Star-Lord & Nova (The Cosmic Bros) as well as Captain Marvel & Ms. Marvel (Mentor & Disciple/Fangirl).
Still, it's one of those little things that I appreciate in a fighting game. I know JoJo started it way back when, but it's cool to see DBFZ & now Mahvel follow suit. I just wish that the change also went into effect if Cap triggered the Level 3, but I'll take what I can get.

He made Ken get completely wrecked by Ryu at the end of that crappy story, and didn't even hint at anything about Ken wanting to redeem himself. Ken and Ryu have always been rivals since the very beginning of street fighter, but with that terrible SFV story, it's like Ono wanted to end their rivalry, and now replace Ken with Akuma as being Ryu's rival. And he actually made boring ass Chun-Li replace Ken as the 2nd main character of SF when Ken was always the 2nd main character after Ryu. And have you seen the cinematic trailer for the SFV update? There's no trace of Ken anywhere, but Ryu, Akuma, and boring ass Chun-Li are in it. Even in the new poster Ken is nowhere in sight, but Ryu and boring ass Chun-Li can be seen stand side by side with a bunch of other SF characters that I couldn't care less for and Akuma being huge in the middle of the cover. With all that hatred towards Ken, I really can't see how Street Fighter could ever get better. Ken and Ryu are Street Fighter. That's why they are the only 2 characters to be in every single SF game. Without Ken, SF is dead. Why do you think that Max barely ever plays SFV?
project x zone has Ryu and Ken together and have the Soryuken, an ultimate move that they both do a very strong shoryuken that hits multiple enemies.
X and Zero should have this too, it's awesome

It's referencing Civil War actually. With them tossing the shield around as they beat their opponent is the same when they fought against Tony.

Honestly, I don't understand why they rushed the release for this game apart from appearing in the competitive scene asap. If they held back and released the game around the time when Infinity war movie is released, Im sure there wouldn't be a huge backlash for this game.

This and stuff like the Dramatic Finishers in DBFZ is the kind of really cool cherry on top that makes you love a game even more, even if its something minor in competitions or gameplay. Presentation is so goddamn important.

They do have one, kind of. It's much less cool than a super though. When Spidey calls Venom in he says "Eddie!" while Venom says "Parker!" when calling in Spider-Man. Still, it's a nice little touch to have them use their names.
Now we need an X and Zero team super. And Ryu and Chunners.

In SF assassin's fist, they didn't know, or meet each other. Even in that shitty ass boring ass Chunners movie, they never met nor trained, nor knew each other. This is good! When I first looked at the games roster, I noticed that the 2v2 system gave us a trend of 2 characters per franchise; ryu/chun x/zero arthur/red and it made me hopeful for clever uses like this bucky/cap example. A little polishing goes a long way, Capcom! MVCI may not have started as strong as I wanted, but I’m glad that you they’re moving upwards with these ideas.
For a second I thought that Winter Soldier costume was civvies Wolverine and I was incredibly confused.

With rumors of Gill & Rashid in the next wave, adding Ken on top of that would honestly be overkill for Street Fighter characters.

The game needs a lot more of this kind of thing. Always loved little details like this in past fighting games. Ryu and Kens fist bump in SF3 and play fighting in Alpha, team mates in the backgrounds of KoF games, and so on.

I’d like to see them do this with Hulk and Ryu. There team up was one of the better things in the story mode and I’d love to see this team up level 3 expand.
Watching episode 5 of The Falcon and Winter Soldier and Sam and Bucky did an Unyielding Justice on Johm Walker. Was awsome. Yelled UNYIELDING JUSTICE at the TV.
That's the best thing in the game I've seen so far. Attention to detail and the little things rooted in the lore makes the difference.

This is seriously cool! Any two characters with history should have something like this. So like Gamora and Rocket, Gamora and Thanos, Chun-Li and Ryu, X and Zero, Spidey and Venom, Cap and BW, etc.
Being a fan of the MCU I do like this roster. Hate me if you want but I do genuinely like this roster. DLC is cool too, if they want to add more then do it. I ain't mad at the roster.

This are the kind of details that new fighting games have been missing but make up a lot of the charm that old fighting games had (Character Specific intros in 3rd Strike, Dimitris special move, etc) Good on them... Now do this for X and Zero
When I first got the game I was so surprised there weren't any team supers like with X and Zero or something. At the start it didn't bother me too much but now that I see they have one I hope that they update the game for more of them

This is the kind of stuff that made the old Ultimate Alliance games so much fun to play. Having team-up supers specific to each set of characters was amazing. Hell, steal some of the team-up attacks from Ultimate Alliance. I doubt anyone would be mad seeing Iron Man shoot Cap's shield to do a cool AOE attack. I'm hoping this is a trend that they keep going forward with as well as retroactively add them to the original roster.

Awesome! They should definitely do this type of thing with Star Lord(if he's going to be in the game)/Gamora, Captain Marvel/Nova, Sigma/Ultron, X/Zero, Ryu/Chun Li, Spider Man/Iron Man or Venom, and Black Widow/Hawkeye.
I'd love to to see more of these with Ryu and Chun, Chris and Nemesisn, and of course Proto Man Frank and Zero.

There are so many things they can do with this kind of thing. I would love for them to expand on this little detail with other groups, though would love to see how a Thor & Hulk level 3 super would turn out.

Hell, have it have more of a gameplay impact. I love the idea of picking your team based on several different factors rather than just who does the best combos together.
When you think about it, this isn't the first time for the mvc series, in marvel super heroes vs street fighter, zangief has a level 3 hyper called the double final atomic buster where zangief and whoever is his teammate is, they'll assist zangief in the atomic buster

Thats pretty badass! We need more good presentation like that. They need to patch up and polish the game up like hell tho. Like a huge patch update that fix the graphics, UI, menus and faces. Cuz lets be honest here, the gameplay may be good. But the game still looks like shit. Also needs more characters, just a shame that the only way to get New characters is through paying lots of money.
steflames I actually like the UI. Yes it's as plain as unsalted chips but it's easy to read and you really don't want something so flashy it takes your eyes off the fight.

Yes! Team-Up Alternate Supers are awesome! Capcom should definitely plan to include more of these as free updates going forward. Start with obvious ones (X+Zero, Cpt Marvel+Nova), a few weird ones based on the story (Gamora+Strider, Ryu+Hulk) and then completely original team-ups for funsies.
