Well now that the game is down to $40 and the Deluxe Edition is $60, I think I'll get it now. Max's gameplay makes this game look really fun.
UPDATE: I just bought the Deluxe Edition of this game on December 28th at gamestop for $40.

Reality is way more nerfed than it used to be. The fact that it goes away when you get hit is huge let alone the long start up

You're way better than me so i'm not dissing you Max but MvCi is so much more fun to watch when a mid to high level player like yourself is playing than when pro's do it.
I keep hearing about how this game is dead, and yet I keep seeing it played. Good stuff.
It's only the most hardcore of MvC fans really.
If that's the case, that's all fighting games are dead. Casuals might come back for a week or so when DLC comes out. But it's mainly the hardcore players that play a fighting game months after release.

To put it in perspective, on PC (where you can see the numbers live on steamcharts) its more dead than Street Fighter 5, Ultra Street Fighter 4, Injustice 2 and *Skullgirls*.
So no its not just natural game age reducing the numbers. people were just really put off by the game and dont want to play it. Also keep in mind that its only a few months old. it will get worse from here unless capcom does something to renew interest.
When I heard that Iron Man theme I was like "Daaamn, I don't remember Marvel characters having good music in Infinite"
But then I realized it's from Marvel 3.

On a different note - damn, this game looks fun as hell when people know what they're doing. It's a bit less fun when I'm playing it, cause I'm a complete scrub at Marvel.
And Venom? Oh boy, I never changed my mind about a character so drastically.

Oh, it is. Iconic themes were reduced to pretty much leitmotifs. I almost cried when I heard Iron Man's or Cap's theme.
They all sound like bland movie pieces you hear everywhere. Some of the Capcom's characters (namely Jedah, Morrigan, Chun, and Sigma) sound really good, but Marvel's are barely distinguishable.

Alright, after thinking about this for a while, and now that the game is 40$, I've decided I'm gonna get it for PS4 and the character pass. It looks so fun, but now that the sale happened, it's not as expensive so I'll feel better about my purchase.
Tyler Gregoire oh believe me I would in a heart beat, but I don't have one and not enough money to build a great one as of yet. And I've heard the player base is best on PS4, though I'm not sure.

Dark Chocolate Gamer nah. I've played the game of course. It's for the most part pretty great and fun, with a few assholes here and there. Besides, it's a problem with fighting games in general, if I'm gonna have to deal with dormammu and Dante teams, or Dante in general, I'm not gonna whine and just do the best I can.

The ranked matches do get really close at 8/9. Some really great players online.
I appreciate Max's first opponent using the mind stone and he had the right idea too! Lock Max down with a supper then call in their other character to open them up using mind stone comand grab to catch them with the current super into the next super as the bar fills again!

I wonder if they will add Blade in this game soon. He’s one of the coolest Marvel characters in comics, movies, and in video games.
The stages in early Marvel vs Capcom games always look so colorful and cool but in this one everything is dull and boring.....I really wanted to like this game..
That costume makes me very aware of the fact that Venom is voiced by the same guy that voiced Firebrand.
Maybe if Capcom is set on this game a little bit longer after the fox and Disney deal they would have had one hell of a roster well I guess they still have a Fighting Chance now

Armando Perez It's a mod Max put in along with a few other tweaks. He showed everytjing he did to it in a video a few months back.
With the Fox-Disney deal on full scale do you think x-men are a giving or we shouldn't get are hopes up.
I foresee them being far more likely than ever before. As to WHEN? Who knows. If Disney wanted to help salvage this game, they'd have Capcom work on X-Men and FF characters NOW...unless Disney had already been intending that buy out for some time and Capcom was working on said characters already? *conspiracy theory time*
Remember that Max had a video not too long ago saying there was a "leaked" list of characters for MvCI and in that list was some X-Men characters. Mind you, that was some months ago, but you are pretty much right that deals were already going down in the background.
that merger is going to take a minimum of 6 months plus the dev time for the chars. Doubtful this game will still be relevant enough by then, but hope I'm wrong

Truth is I don't care all that much about more characters added to the game although I'd like it . I mostly want a rerelease with improved graphics and game modes and then just add new characters to that

Yeah that iornman and warmachine super been doing major dame even when you block since marvel vs capcom 2.... I used ryu iornman and war machine back than just for that reason.

If you play a different character now and start playing X later it'll be hard to transition into him.

To record gameplay you need something like a capture card, the elgato seems like the most popular one. You basically just hook it to your console and it records. Then you upload it like any other video.
Thanks to max's game play I ended up buying the game, and it is just has fun has max says; I am nowhere near at the level of a tournament player but I do have a blast while playing it and to me that's what matters most

Gameplay-wise, its really fun and solid, and the mechanics are quite interesting! Active Switch is something that i'm gonna have a lot of fun with!
Visual-wise, it leaves a lot to be desired, but is it the WORST looking game I seen? Nope, far from it, its just very average at best! even though there are some decent looking stages, and some characters, like Gamora, Venom, and Jedah look great.
Would love to jump on to this, but i'll wait, until they release an update to this game that revitalizes the graphics heavily, adds X-Men, adds in some neat features to it to make it feel alive than ever, much like SFV Arcade Edition.
Some suggestions for the next huge update(similar to Arcade Edition), is to fix the roster, take away characters that people didn't want and make room for the new ones(some X-Men) and add them back in later for free, fix up the voice-acting, add more unique tag supers like they did with WS and Cap, add unique special moves with the gems, the list goes on. It has potential to me, if you get past the visuals.

Ever watch any of his old videos of, well, anything? He's lost tons of times in SF3, MvC2 and 3... but he's actually pretty good at fighting games and tends to stream more rather than plainly make videos so there's lots of hard cuts between matches.
