Loving the coverage of lower league soccer, Tom! You really do these experiences justice! This looks like a very solid former baseball stadium, the water right by the stadium is incredible.
Thanks Ethan! Just trying to get some love to our lower leagues! I think a lot of people simply just don't know these clubs exist or have any idea what the experience is like!
Thanks Tom, now I've gotta add Tampa Bay Rowdies to my ever-growing list of soccer teams to visit in the States 😅 Seriously, though, great vlog as ever, and what a great example TBR set by converting an old Baseball stadium. Thanks for posting mate!
It is a great setting for a stadium and a soccer game. Easy to walk to the stadium from the downtown restaurants and attractions. Highmark Stadium in Pittsburgh has a great city backdrop too.
Saw the Rowdies and Joe Cole when they came to Ottawa to play the Fury in 2018, cool to see their stadium I'm actually surprised at how well the baseball retrofits come out looking. It's a problem for the Canadian Premier League expanding as it's hard to find places that can service new teams.
The Rowdies and Detroit City are my favorite teams in the Championship, and the former has a lot to do with vibes (the latter has great vibes too, but my sister goes to Michigan and I’ve been to Detroit so I just dig Michigan I suppose). They’ve been around a long time, they have a great fanbase, and a unique identity. I vastly prefer them to any of Florida’s MLS teams tbh.
@@SoccerZombieSTLThe former is really only interesting cuz of Messi (and Robert Taylor when he’s on one, cuz my obscure football nation-loving heart adores seeing a little-known Finnish player get to shine in a squad dominated by fading greats), the latter I’ve seen play NYC FC twice and I still couldn’t tell you what their “vibe” is besides existing. The Rowdies stand out!
Relative to the usual Tampa/St. Pete swampy heat (I was born in Tampa and have family there I see at least once a year), it wasn't bad that night! There was a tropical system in the Atlantic blowing a lot of the humidity off to the west that day. The beach in Sarasota felt GREAT! The Sun game the next day was BRUTAL though.
@@SoccerZombieSTL Watched the whole video and saw myself in a long-sleeved shirt and said "OH it was THAT night, with the storm that made it feel nice out" XD Yeah, that didn't last long lol

Thanks again for having me. You do make polished videos, especially compared to my vlogs.
Thanks Robb! I buff them to a quality shine but sometimes it takes me a bit longer to get them out!

Thanks man! It's really a cool setting at Al Lang Stadium!

I NEED to go to a Riverhounds game sometime!
This is really coo of you to showcase the USL keep up the great work 🎉
Thanks! People need to know the USL is hype!

I think I prefer them over Inter Messi and Orlando City, too!

COYR!
Love it!
Brief correction, the Rays do not own Al Lang, the city owns it and the Rowdies lease it.
Ah ok, good to know! I had guessed based on how they "Rowdiefied" (as I stated in the video) the place that they owned it.
"No humidity". lol was that sarcasm? Absolute tropical out there that night. like 80 percent humidity. Lost weight sweating at the match.

It never does in Florida!
Nate worth, remember the name👀
Another one in the Rowdies recent youth movement!
@@SoccerZombieSTL loving it, just signed a striker from the area also, mustali is his last name
@@topshelfbeas from Inter Miami's academy right?
@@SoccerZombieSTLyup that’s him, good profile also, around 6’4 (I think)
