Couple comments regarding the anti cheat and what you said. 1. The concern with the ring 0 (or kernel level) AC, is not that the company could spy on you (at least not for most). The issue (and real danger) is, that someone could exploit that AC to get access to your computer. I mean look at the exploit with the kick vote system that came out yesterday. That didn't even need kernel level access to your system and could download a payload on to your computer. And that is developed by a multi billion dollar company. Now imagine what someone could do if they found a faceit AC exploit. 2. Yes cheating on a ring 0 AC is harder, but still very doable. People have been led to believe that this form of AC is somehow the magic fix against cheaters. Well I can tell you, it's not. Valorant has a huge closet cheater problem and so does faceit. You're just not noticing it, because you've been conditioned to believe that there aren't that many cheaters, thus your conclusion is, "he must be pretty good". Also people who cheat on faceit, are just not as blatant as they are in premier. You don't see literal silvers wallhacking, making it easy to know they're just bad and cheating. Faceit cheaters are already level 10 on their own and just use cheats only to get that slight edge. Low FOV aimbots, radar hacks that sort of thing.

People constantly bash on the elo system because “it was originally designed for chess.” I totally agree with you and think that when tweaked, it’s an excellent system for CS.
IMO the main benefit of Premium is better and more responsive support. FaceIt support started to review and react to my thrower/smurf reports more consistently after I subscribed. Also, you won’t face a lot of cheaters but low elo players will certainly experience a ton of smurfs. It’s gotten better of the years, but smurfs are a much bigger deal on FaceIt vs Premier.
the smurf problem is insane in 1000~ range.... its disgusting to the point i better play with cheaters.... until i get feed up with cheaters and go play with smurfs 90% of the time..... pick your poison

I should definitely get back in to faceit. I have been grinding premier and am in top 3% rn and have improved a lot, but when I played faceit the game felt more like the pro matches I’ve watched. Calculated with truly good communication.
One big problem with faceit is 5q going vs non 5q, especially since people abuse the elo factor when you have 1 or 2 high elo players with a bunch of low elo vs 5 people on sorta average. And the issue is that the difference between a level 3 and a level 7, is way smaller between a level 7 and a 2600 ELO player. Also their AC it's kernel level yes but is a very aggressive one for being kernel, as an example EAC is also kernel but is not as intrusive (proof of that, apex is filled with cheaters in the top ranks)
Disclaimer: 1) Faceit is owned by Saudi Arabian government-backed Savvy Gaming Group, so you're giving kernel level access to your PC to them. 2) Their anticheat isn't 100% so you can still encounter cheaters, but more wealthy that are paying for subscription based cheats and more savvy that are not rage cheating but doing it more subtle.
Never in my life been lower than faceit level 9 or esea A rank and I've lost so many faceit pugs the last week I dropped to lvl 8. Big sad :( solo queue life can get rough
I'm having a good time on premier, but I gotta say the streak algorithm went pretty crazy recently, I'm at a point where my gains / losses are solely streak based, I'm at -100/+100, if I lose one I'm at -350/+100 if I win one I'm at -100/+350. It's just a bit wild and doesn't make much sense to me. I should still go up in the long run if my winrate is > 50% but if I'm having a bad day and lose 1000 points in a few games it leaves me a bit uneasy
While the kernel anticheat will help prevent the blatant and cheap cheaters, it's not going to do anything to people with external hardware that's reading and processing memory or using image recognition software. You're just going to be facing subtle cheaters, rather than blatant. And there's security/privacy concerns. There's a video that was uploaded from around 2 months ago about subverting kernel anticheats and their lack of efficacy.
Can I just say, playing Faceit OCE absolutely sucks for me. For my first game, there was a troll on my team in a discord call with his friend on the enemy team giving info to each other all game (essentially giving each other wall hacks) and they purposely dragged the game out to be 80 rounds long. I played faceit two more times after that which I was matched against a 5stack of faceit level 10’s, completely out of my own depth. It was not fun. Idk seems like there’s not enough players on OCE
About the expected ELO to gain - it's not as simple as 50% of the opponent's team chance to win. If a 2100 ELO queues with 1400 ELO and the enemy team's change to win is 50%, the 2100 ELO player will gain a lot less than the 1400 ELO player. For example 2100 ELO player will gain 14 points where as the 1400 ELO player will gain 26. And this makes sense to me. What's interesting is that if these two players were to lose, the lower ELO player will be deducted higher points than the high ELO player. These are just observations from my games, I do not claim to know everything about faceit's system.
Basically, the kernel is the brain of your computer’s software. If something has access to your kernel, it could potentially gain access to sensitive information. It boils down to a single consideration: would you rather play private or enjoy the game? You can’t have both. Ideally, you’d separate your gaming system (Windows 10/11) from your work/personal system (Linux/Unix… or Arch if you’re a gangster). Hope that clarifies things!
This is it, I'm playing on faceit only. I played back in 2020 and never touch it again, mm was fine because I was playing on English servers. Now that I moved to Asia is a pain how bad players are, and not being able to communicate is a whole different situation situation 😭
So im plastic rank not even silver but i want to play cs2 but the major problem is cheaters every where especially on EU servers so after watching this video and knowing there is anti cheat and work better than VAC then im down to try Faceit thank you for explaining everything simply and straight to the point
I've been trying Faceit. I've somehow managed to get nothing but complete idiots, who literally never even use their mics and I'm the only one on comms. I'm 7 games in, with 7 losses, all 13-2 or 13-3 or somewhere in that realm. I'm ending the game with 2k-2.5k damage and 23-25 kills and 8-10 assists, the second guy on my team always has like 800 damage, 0 assists. I feel like I'm getting paired with literally the worst people on Faceit, who won't communicate or do any teamwork, and i can't carry the team to a win without SOMEONE doing something. And i think i have yet to play anything but mirage. They always go mirage.
Just to make it clear, FPL is not a "rank" or "level" beyond challenger level. It is just own hub of matchmaking, that only invited players can join. There are lot of fpl players who are not challengers, there for lower level than some of the players that are not in FPL.

It doesn't matter as faceit will place you in an elo automatically, if esea still would be around you would've started there but faceit is good aswell, look up counter strike classic offensive also.
My first match I hit "PLAY" and it wasn't doing anything in CS2. It wasn't connecting me to the game. So I got a half hour ban right away. Now I have no idea how I'm supposed to connect to the server once the match is found.
Did I miss the part about queuing with teammates ? how are 5 stacks handled ? are 4 stacks allowed ? I read that premium 5 stack queue was disabled is this still a thing ?
why faceit elo is not reseting like after some time of not playing? it doesnt make sense if i have faceit 10lvl that i achieved 4 years ago and now i play after break
Lmao I was just considering starting FaceIt. I used to tell myself that once I reach Global I will do Faceit, but I only managed to get to LEM before cs2. Now the premier elo is not that satisfying to climb, and the games are not fun half the time. Thank you for the video!
A reason why Valve doesnt use a Kernel anti cheat is because of the support for Linux. They could use EAC but they for some reason won't change their ways
Great video, Wilson! I just have a question though. Since the elo you'd gain or lose is already predetermined, does that mean that your individual performance does not count? Is this the case or did I just misunderstood what you explained?
my only problem with faceit is how toxic it is and i have nobody to queue with after winning most games i randomly lost around 10 games in a row just because of toxicity and throwing for me premier even with the cheaters feels better just because of less toxicity smurfs and throwing even with the cheaters
As an NA SoloQer in Level 6, faceit fucking blows. I get toxic teammates and teammates with no microphone, and smurfs on the enemy team about 1 in every other match and constantly get people who don't really know what they're doing. Finding a team under level 9 is basically impossible, and running strats with rando's just isn't an option. Faceit is as bad or worse than Premier right now. Oh and I forgot about the people from EU playing on NA servers, that's super fucking annoying.
I believe the EU people playing on NA servers are there cuz they'd rather play on 100 ping with someone who at least speak English instead of having another lobby full of Russian screaming people who flood the game and are a nightmare to deal with. Still a valid point obviously, but yeah, this is how it is. I guess if Faceit started banning them there would be so little people to play their business plan would no longer be viable.
the problematic thing with faceit is the elitist mentality against newcomers. because you start at level 4 if you're not at that level/experience you start your faceit experience with losing game after game and being flamed/mocked/bullied.
That's what makes me not want to try it. Experienced the same thing when Ranked Overwatch first came out years ago. Still just turn off coms from not wanting to be bothered anymore but FaceIt expects it I'd imagine.
Hey Wilson, awesome video. I may have missed this, but when you mentioned the Captain mechanic, does the Captain ultimately have the final decision on the play for a round? Is it just the considered way of playing FaceIt?
The captain is really only important for the map/server/starting side bans and picks. I’m terms of in-game calling, it’s totally free game and there isn’t any attention paid to who is captai.
Haven't really had a problem with premier recently. Haven't faced a cheater in the last few weeks and I'm at 21k. And even my Randoms are usually pretty friendly and can communicate
Thing about VAC i heard is that Valve don't want to or can't implement an intrusive anticheat because it may cause upset in the large pool of players since not everyone wants to play with an intrusive anticheat for a game they play just to have fun. I heard they are experimenting with an AI anticheat which was also the reason why many people were getting false vac ban for acting like a cheater. People who wants a good competitive they can go and play faceit easily. Also skill ceiling is pretty high in faceit so they can easily have good sweaty games or who knows if you're good enough you can go pro too
You don’t have to download the client to play (I recommend just using the browser), so that takes no storage. I’m not sure about the anti cheat, but I don’t think it’s very big
Why is it that I play with my friends lvl10 and I’m lv8 and when we win I just get 15elo, ain’t it gimme more? Since I’m way lower than them? Something we que with challengers and when we win I just get 15 elo
i just started playing in november and im currently 9k premier (i know theres a huge elo bubble rn). i know most nadesets but mess the run and jump throw nades up so much. could i hang in faceit? i come across way too many cheaters running things on vac and it sucks. even came across a legitimate hacker yesterday in casual.
I remember getting that email from esea, and being shocked. I refused to use them again for a long time until I started playing go very seriously again. I went to CEVO at the time lolol which was a joke tbh. But we took first in CEVO one season, in the lowest division, whatever it was called.
Even on faceit there´s always that one player that has no mic and expects anyone to read the shit he writes in chat. Also there are games where everyone has a mic and no one talks. Don´t expect that much difference especially in lower faceit levels... and yeah there´s also that one " whatareyoudoing" guy :-D
In the slight defense of premier. Granted I've only gotten to 10k in premier so far, but I've been surprised at not only having not faced a single cheater, but also the elo gains make it so it feels borderline impossible to NOT climb. Especially when I've heard stories of people saying they are in elo hell, where they gain around 100 but lose 400-500. In every game I've played it's been twice the elo gain of what I'd lose. Even when I hit a promotion game, and then lost like 4 in a row, after one or two wins I'm right back at the promotion game again. I know everyone's experience is different, but comparing CS2 to other games I've played and their elo gains and losses, I think it's really not bad. Like Overwatch I could win 5-7 games in a row and it would keep me in the same rank, now THAT shit is what absolutely kills me.
after a few losses the insane streak bonus faded for me and now I quickly get streak bonus as well as streak malus which is not a great experience. I'm at -100/+100, if I lose one I'm at -350/+100 if I win one I'm at -100/+350, I can win 1000 in an evening or lose 1000. The solution is to not look at the number but it's not easy for everybody

the smurf problem is insane in 1000~ range.... its disgusting to the point i better play with cheaters.... until i get feed up with cheaters and go play with smurfs 90% of the time..... pick your poison
Faceit support sucks they are literally useless
best ads ever
this make me want zowie monitor
unlike most ads that feel annoyning and i want to skip
this ads explained well about monitor that sponsor you
Thank you! Glad you liked it:)
This saves me tons of time bro Thanks a lots. We face so many cheaters these days :(
Even though I'm playing fFaceit since like 2019, I still watched this video, idk why
The reason why I don’t play Faceit is because they don’t have any servers in the South, whereas Premier has Atlanta servers
Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you.
Closing in on faceit lvl 10 with your help Wilson, good video man 🤙
Hell yeah leeko!!!!
Thanks for in-depth explanation
Thank you for making this video
Gameplay in the background:
"How many times should we run it down mid?"
"Yes"
Bro. Just created a faceit account and wanted to get an idea of what it is. You did a great job! Thank you!
Perfect tutorial. You explained very well everything and your advices was so motiviting. Thanks for the video
Thank you bro!:)
I Love Wilson Cs2 Best UA-cam Ever
thanks for the breakdown homie
No problem bro :)
Thanks for this vid. Appreciate you
What an explanation earned a sub ❤
Thank you!:)
You've got the SUPERMATCH feature that deals with that problem, however there are bigger ones for me as I stated in my comment.
There's a video that was uploaded from around 2 months ago about subverting kernel anticheats and their lack of efficacy.
as much as I'd love to play faceit, the only kernel level external control I want on my pc is the government's pre-existing backdoors (lmao).
faceit already detects most DMA, and that's a myth, kernel anticheat has no more privacy/security concerns than any other anticheat
@@丷 kernel does actually prevent cheats a bit more than non-kernel, it's just debatable as to how effective that increase is.
oh, misread your comment, sorry.
kernel absolutely has far more security concerns than any other less-intrusive anticheat.
@@AttacMage how exactly?
Can I just say, playing Faceit OCE absolutely sucks for me. For my first game, there was a troll on my team in a discord call with his friend on the enemy team giving info to each other all game (essentially giving each other wall hacks) and they purposely dragged the game out to be 80 rounds long. I played faceit two more times after that which I was matched against a 5stack of faceit level 10’s, completely out of my own depth. It was not fun. Idk seems like there’s not enough players on OCE
You played 3 games and gave up? Lol
Ive been using the BenQ monitor for a while and the one in your video is really my fav
Wilson, back with another banger
Basically, the kernel is the brain of your computer’s software. If something has access to your kernel, it could potentially gain access to sensitive information.
It boils down to a single consideration: would you rather play private or enjoy the game? You can’t have both. Ideally, you’d separate your gaming system (Windows 10/11) from your work/personal system (Linux/Unix… or Arch if you’re a gangster).
Hope that clarifies things!
3rd party anti cheat seems like a risky thing to put on your computer tho?
This is it, I'm playing on faceit only. I played back in 2020 and never touch it again, mm was fine because I was playing on English servers. Now that I moved to Asia is a pain how bad players are, and not being able to communicate is a whole different situation situation 😭
thanks for tutorial
so hype to get faceit level 1 instantly
So im plastic rank not even silver but i want to play cs2 but the major problem is cheaters every where especially on EU servers so after watching this video and knowing there is anti cheat and work better than VAC then im down to try Faceit thank you for explaining everything simply and straight to the point
do we still get cases if we play faceit ?
4:54 spoken like a true lad 😂
Just to make it clear, FPL is not a "rank" or "level" beyond challenger level. It is just own hub of matchmaking, that only invited players can join. There are lot of fpl players who are not challengers, there for lower level than some of the players that are not in FPL.
Great clarification, thank you!
But great video! Keep it up!@@WilsonCS2
Thanks man:)
can we play CSGO instead of CS2 on faceit?
Nope, just cs2
Could you make a video about increasing FPS in CS2?
I'm not really the best to ask to be honest, I'm having some major issues with it as well:(
Inshallah i will never have to go back to FaceIt
I'd love a vid about the ESEA stuff I missed out on that whole thing
you should do a video about the btc mining incident that would be a banger
Unable to validate face
Please make sure to remove your glasses, have a neutral background, and be in a well-lit room to try again. Every time I try, this error will appear. I did the necessary work exactly. can you help me pls?
faceit, the home of all the good stuff
Thank you for this video! I’ve always wanted to play faceit but I’m a low rank in cs, around the high silver-low gn level. I’ve seen a lot of people say to not play if you aren’t high enough rank but I’ll probably give it a try soon!
Thanks for the video on this topic Wilson!
I’ve always wondered whether I should try FACEIT or stick with premier!
No problem!:)
W video! Wilson when are you going to upgrade the knife and gloves? Doppler/Pandoras??
😂😂😂 I’ll never betray my plaids like that
@@WilsonCS2 🕺🕺🕺
Faceit go throw some money at your boy here making great content about you guys!!
😂😂 on god !!
No problem!:) I hope you have a good experience. The first chunk of matches are always the weirdest and most difficult on faceit
this video saved my cat from premiere lobbies
Thank god
Great video as always! I'm thinking about taking the dive into faceit to improve as a player and for that anticheat!
You should absolutely go for it Paul!
A reason why Valve doesnt use a Kernel anti cheat is because of the support for Linux. They could use EAC but they for some reason won't change their ways
I think that wouldn't really help. Cheats would be only expensiver little bit. Look at apex.
Great video, Wilson! I just have a question though. Since the elo you'd gain or lose is already predetermined, does that mean that your individual performance does not count? Is this the case or did I just misunderstood what you explained?
Doesnt matter how bad you play
Yup! It’s entirely dependent on whether your team wins or losses. I actually prefer it that way- everyone has the same motivation to win
Once you hit level 10 you’ll be going against 3 stacks of top 100 players that farm. It’s difficult to gain elo when you que alone
I'm definitely interested in the ESEA Bitcoin mining thing! Please make a video!
Thanks for the video, but I don't even know what premier is LOl
the monitor looks really good! I'm checking out some monitor😁 might consider the one you recommended
Hell yeah bro:)
my only problem with faceit is how toxic it is and i have nobody to queue with after winning most games i randomly lost around 10 games in a row just because of toxicity and throwing for me premier even with the cheaters feels better just because of less toxicity smurfs and throwing even with the cheaters
👌👌😊 Have to start playing Faceit
@@Xerodm yeah so turning off comms just makes people try to kick you so that's not a solution.
@@marcusberggren9241 If it's that easy to get kicked, I'll just stick to regular matchmaking. Happens anyway.
Yeah same problem. I wish we start at level 1 not 5.
What was that workshop map at the end????? Asking for a friend 😊
I'd love a video about 2013 bitcoin mining through anticheat
Would love a video on the BTC esea situation.
Masterclass
Hey Wilson, awesome video. I may have missed this, but when you mentioned the Captain mechanic, does the Captain ultimately have the final decision on the play for a round? Is it just the considered way of playing FaceIt?
The captain is really only important for the map/server/starting side bans and picks. I’m terms of in-game calling, it’s totally free game and there isn’t any attention paid to who is captai.
Captain*
Haven't really had a problem with premier recently. Haven't faced a cheater in the last few weeks and I'm at 21k. And even my Randoms are usually pretty friendly and can communicate
Seems like premier has definitely surpassed csgo matchmaking in quality
If you haven't faced a cheater in weeks while playing 8 hours a day then you are cheating yourself pal.
I have 1000h in cs and im only silver is it ok to play faceit?
Awesome! I need to get into this. I like being number 1. Level 1 is the best right? :D
Most definitely!
Do i need 20hour cs on steam to play faceit?
Thing about VAC i heard is that Valve don't want to or can't implement an intrusive anticheat because it may cause upset in the large pool of players since not everyone wants to play with an intrusive anticheat for a game they play just to have fun. I heard they are experimenting with an AI anticheat which was also the reason why many people were getting false vac ban for acting like a cheater. People who wants a good competitive they can go and play faceit easily. Also skill ceiling is pretty high in faceit so they can easily have good sweaty games or who knows if you're good enough you can go pro too
yeah I'm confident AI anti-cheat is going to blow kernel based solutions out of the water
@@zilliq yeah let's hope for the best
You should be banned for acting like a cheat
in oce u can choose between playing melbourne and sydney servers
Good to know!
Anyone could tell me how heavy faceit and its anticheat is in terms of storage. I got a laptop and google isn't returning answers
It’s a measure to nerf boosting services. Large elo differences in parties leads to less elo gained and lost
i just started playing in november and im currently 9k premier (i know theres a huge elo bubble rn). i know most nadesets but mess the run and jump throw nades up so much. could i hang in faceit? i come across way too many cheaters running things on vac and it sucks. even came across a legitimate hacker yesterday in casual.
I’m sure you could brother. It may be difficult at the beginning, but it is absolutely worth it in my opinion
Great video would like to see one on that bitcoin scam
when i smurf in faceit i gotta control my aiming and do some low elo movement to keep my acc
What is the map at 14:27
Dont start faceit with that knowledge lol…jokes its overpass
Another banger
