- For Jimmy's birthday, we got a bunch of famous people to read Mean Tweets about him. One of the celebrities was Larry David, who really had fun with it. In fact, he liked reading them so much, Jimmy decided to share all of Larry's outtakes where he is unable to curb his enthusiasm about a lack of enthusiasm for Jimmy.

you ever see some behind-the-scenes stuff on Curb Your Enthusiasm? Larry was probably the single worst one of the whole cast on being able to make it thru a whole take w/o burning it from natural laughter. The kicker is, Jerry was always generally the worst offender of that when Seinfeld was being produced. He may be a legendary standup, but he's the first to admit he's an awful actor. There's plenty of scenes that did make it into episodes where he still can't quite cover up at least a very broad grin when talking to another one of the actors.
Larry breaks in a scene a lot and he laughs his ass off at the insults they hurl at him on the show.
Back on Seinfeld, the writers used to say that their goal was to make Larry laugh... that if you could make Larry laugh, you were off to a good start.

When filming Seinfeld though he was stone cold according to Jason Alexander when the camera was rolling he wouldn't laugh he'd just say yeah that's funny keep doing that yeah that's good keep going
Fun fact: Larry is actually quite joyous and loves to laugh.. He is 90% of the reason for all the bloopers and outtakes on Curb.. The man has an infectious sense of humor and is probably one of the greatest comedians in the world..

So, I'm rewatching CYE for the 4 time to prepare for the new season and I am TODAY years old when I found out that there are no scripts for this show. Just a vague outline and a bunch of comedians killing it.

Larry David is a comedic genius, I’ve heard he doesn’t carry a cell phone. I doubt he’s active on any social media. That is why he’s completely original and always ground breaking. I have no doubt that this is an authentic reaction to online trolls but I’m glad it didn’t change him.

Checks out. He said it's an epic struggle to not crack up uncontrollably on the Curb set while characters berate and cuss him out. Which of course is nearly every scene. A miracle they get anything done at all
