Thank you for documenting these three trains at Cedar Falls Junction in Cedar Falls, Iowa on 5 June 2022, Red! The is a great video. The variety of engines and a slug on the Iowa Northern Railroad train was well worth the price of admission. Then you caught the Canadian National's L570 and L571 crossing the old Illinois Central bridge over the Cedar River. That is the shortest version of Canadian National's L570 that I remember you capturing on video. Thank you for being at the right place at the right time to capture these trains.
You're welcome Thomas! The Junction gets busy once in awhile. The timing of the L570 and L571 is key. The L570 had plenty of power for sure. The Iowa Northern power is very entertaining for sure!
Wow no UP today. Some real nice drone footage going over the bridge and along the river at the junction. Wild IANR set of power. Certainly couldn't ask for better action in short time. That flatcar is for hauling rail and almost no boxcars. Good timing and the dogs agree
Nope no UP that day. The CF Junction may get that way once every couple weeks with 3 trains like that. It's a great spot to drone but has limitations because of how close the airport is.
Hi Red. Your videography is very good and your producing is great. By producing, I mean the weaving drone shot together with trackside shots. Narration isn't too bad either. Great job!
Hell of a video Red, got a lot to comment on this one! First I loved the big old school power on the Iowa Northern, 14,000hp plus whatever tractive effort that slug puts down. Beautiful drone shot of them coming over the bridge! Does IN ever run any 6 axle units? 570 had the SD70M-2 and SD75i combo💪🏼. The 70M-2’s are all DC traction. Pretty cool catching the KCS GEVO on 571! Great video Red👍🏼😎🇺🇸
a short while, they must have had better luck with the 4 axle power and slugs. That 570 definitely had plenty of power when they took off from the Junction💪CN has a fun mix of power for sure😃🇺🇸
Right on Red great job that drone is great so cool . Great Walter with you hanging out 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 . What is the story on dead man’s lsland how did it get the name 👍🏻 Thxs 👍🏻🇨🇦🇺🇸 Robin

Appreciate all your Iowa Northern coverage… lt’s an awesome short line. Thanks!
You're welcome Michael Murray!

Thanks vicodumb! It's as close as I'm gonna get to Hollywood👍
The livery of the railroad looks like the old Canadian Pacific paint
Great views!
Awesome video Red!
Thanks K&M!
Come down to Davenport. Lots of train action here now!
Hi great video I remember back in the early 90s the EMD f40 belonged to main and Atlantic I remember seeing them here in being transferred to Maine
Thanks cprs5000! I'm told the f40 had higher output generators that worked well for slugs.
Wow! CN is not wasting any time today, like IANR did.
Yes Paul the Iowa Northern can be tough to watch at the Junction with their 10 mph speed limit. CN flies right on through.
Holy Horse power! Damn son! Man the horn sounded good! Do they need that many engines? It looked like overkill
Nice catches!
They use F40's on freight? Neat
Yep👍I'm told they use the F40 for running the slugs since they have higher output generators.

Thanks STRETCH LIMO! The Iowa Northern leased a couple of SD40-2S fo

Thanks Robin! I'm not sure on the origin of the Islands name. I'll look into it👍😃
@@redsiowatrainvideos6645 thanks Red 👍🏻
I heard back in the early 1900s some human remains were found on that island. Hard to say if it's true but that's the story on dead man's island.
@@redsiowatrainvideos6645 Thxs Red lnteresting 👍🏻
Excellent video/narration all around! What kind of drone do you have?
Thanks David! I use a dji air 2s drone.
