Hopefully Bisbo has deleted it). Belagavi has always been Karnataka's and will remain so. And so are the Marathi common people of Karnataka. They are our people. I am from Belangavi. Many individuals can speak both Kannada and Marathi, although Kannada is their first language. There just aren't many people speaking Marathi in the rest of the district you mentioned in the video. However, in the Maharashtra districts of Sangli, Solapur, and Kolhapur, we observe that more than 60% of Kannada people there , and people there prefer to join Karnataka. The reason for this is that Karnataka villages in border districts are significantly more developed, with basic utilities and subsidies for farmers and industry. Farmers are happy. In Maharashtra, however, the situation is dire, with communities lacking even a basic supply of electricity and drinking water, much alone water for agricultural purposes. I believe it would be preferable if the Maharashtra government focused more on the development of those villages and saving the lives of poor people rather than battling for cheap political gain and ego.

To those of you people who don't understand, read our history!!! Belagavi was part of Kannada kings/Deccan kingdoms till 13th century. Once the Islamic rule started in the Deccan region until the Vijayanagar empire glory, it was part of Deccan kings/Sultanates. During the birth of Sivaji s Maratha kingdom,, when they conquered Belagavi fort from Deccan Sultanates, they found that the land was very furtile and ideal for raising their Cavalry. Lot of Marathi's then migrated to the newly occupied lands as it became an economic and militarily important region. After the defeat of Tipu, the Mysore kingdom lost most of the northern regions to Nizam and the Maratha kingdom who assisted British to defeat Tipu. If you see the oldest surviving land records from 12-13th century - all of them are in Kannada. Those Marathi's who shamelessly think just because there is a larger number of population who speak their language should belong to them are no different from Pakistanis who think Kashmir is theirs because it has large Muslim population. The Kannadigas are one of the most peaceful people who integrate with other speakers, see Bangalore for example. we welcome other Indians with open arms until you disrespect our land and our language

As a native of Belagavi and a Kannadiga, I feel sad when Bisbo comes up with images such as Karnataka CM hanging by a cliff with a baggage called Belagavi (unable to find the pic now. Hopefully Bisbo has deleted it). Belagavi has always been Karnataka's and will remain so. And so are the Marathi common people of Karnataka. They are our people. Karnataka has undergone immense cultural and linguistic trauma at the hands of Marathi organizations. We have witnessed the statue of our beloved Sangolli Rayanna and our great Queen Veera Rani Kitturu Chennamma being insulted. Despite that, peace prevails due to the strong fraternity among the common people. At 0:05 Bisbo reads 'a city on the border of Karnataka and Maharashtra' while the fact is that it is in Karnataka and bordering Maharashtra. Bisbo can be more sensitive to the sentiments of the people of Karnataka
Harsha news is put in a storytelling format so certain creative liberties are taken however none of our facts are incorrect
@@BisboWorld The description at 0:05 is so incorrect that I could not even proceed further in the video.

@@ullas3501 hi bro 😀😀😀
Wikipedia shows 68% kannada and only 18% marathi speakers in Belgavi…Maharashtra should stay away i guess!
Kashmir is majority muslim so should we give to pakistan? No? Then why should we give belgaon to Karnataka? Better if it's a UT.

@@Crauniverse Don't sit and comment from Mumbai or Pune. In reality whole Belagavi is fastest developing city after Bengaluru, Mysuru, Huballi Dharwad, Mangalore
I live in belegavi city people from both Marathi and kannada are like brothers and sisters we respect both languages and culchurs and our Marathi friends thing mes gang is loosers gang Most of Marathas from both sides think same this dispute is just election gimik
We the people of Belgaum/Belagavi/Belgaon speak a variety of languages (Kannada, Marathi, Hindi, English, Konkani and many more) fluently! We live in harmony. Only a few people play this card for their political gains. Our industry, connectivity(Road, rail, air), medical, education is neglected and is being taken to other districts.
We demand development!
Try to keep Hindi away please
Cool ref to Kantara. Great Stuff as always. Jai Karnataka. ❤
As a Belgaumite, I'm glad someone made a video on it.
What angle they say Belagavi / Karwar are Marathi majority ? Just coz they were in Bombay presidency, does not mean they are marathi.
This brings us to the Kalsa bhaduri project ( mhadei river) dispute between Goa and Karnataka. Mhadei known in Goa as mandovi, is the lifeline of Goa. To please the people of belgaum the karnataka govt plans to divert it, which will eventually destroy Goa along with its rich biodiversity. Request @bisbo to make a video on this to spread awareness.
We are compiling data on water wars in India
First of Ll it is not on mahadayi it is about kalasa banduri tributary of mahadayi.. Extra Water simply wasting in arabian sea.
@@rajavishnuvardhana6830 there is no such thing as extra water. And the the thing that u are calling a tributary passes is the lifeline of Goa which runs around 81 km in Goa and 29km in karnataka
I'm maratha staying in Karnataka. We are happy where we are please stop this hatred.
Jai Karnataka, Jai Maharashtra, Jai hind

30 years whole Indian government as well as karnataka and maharashtra had congress government why wasn't issue resolved biggest question mark??????
Its resolved by mahajana commision.... karanataka govt and centeral govt accept to live in peace..
Only marathis and Maharashtra no accept create in issue
Belagavi district has 70% Kannada speakers 18 % Marathi speakers , when it comes to belagavi city 40% are Kannada speakers and 32% Marathi speakers get your fact right
The figure we have are according to the 2011 census
@@BisboWorld check the population data census of 2011 , which census said 60 % Marathi is belagavi district ??

Very well explained with simple language explanation
No matter how much the Sharad Pawar and eknath shinde (comedians in the the Maharashtra govt) bark one thing is true for sure and that is BELAGAVI was , is and will always be an integral part of Karnataka.
Fact check: the Statics provided are working more than 73% of the population of Belagavi is Kannada speaking Karnataka people.

Ee hai balagavi city ka population composition. Thoda research karke video banao na. Logon ko mislead mat karo bhai
Only belgavi city has Marathi population outnumbering, the district as a whole has the exact opposite.
Hence Mahajan commission final decision is what it is.
Your narrative portrays/depicts otherwise, Only that specific part.
Dear bisbo the population percentage mentioned is questionable...only in municipality area the Marathi population is 60 % and the district as a whole the kannadiga population is more than 70 %
We Tamilians will stand with kannadigas in this issue.
Yes Arun, we should have clarified that

Hey everyone, I want all to know that to not make this a big issue and let it be with the original owner (Karnataka) but the Maharashtrian and kannadigas can both live in harmony and not cause a big ruckus as the apex court (Supreme Court) will make an intermediate decision appeasing the two states and focus more on the external threat on the nation because all of the need to unite and stand together shoulder to shoulder, to defeat our enemies and if this issue continues, the people there will suffer as mentioned in this video. I would request that Eknath Shinde to not act like his predecessors and try to give a reply to Uddhav Thackeray as the opposition in any state knows to hinder the process and discourage the ruling party's decision. Still, Maharastrian people should not behave aggressively on this topic as we are brothers and sister of the same nation and if they continue this the politicians will use this issue to come back to power. finally, i would say that the original owner gets it as the people of belagavi are very relaxed about this topic in general and remain calm about this issue in the future also I would request both sides of people to not fight among ourselves and not to make any more suffering to any people in belagavi and let it remain as it was and Maharashtrian to not get violent over this issue as it has been a very integral part of Karnataka's history and everyone stay away from all the violent elements of society on this issue. Jai Hind! Jai Karnataka!
It's true fact belgavi part of Karnataka not maharashtra how people say Marathi language speaking part of maharashtra then madhe Pradesh most people speaking Marathi and gaujrathi then art of that state kuch bhi
Belagavi is integral part of karnataka.maharastra can nothing to do with it
Now the karnataka opposition party congress is in power they have not said a word on karnataka dispute with maharashtra they blame the MAHARASHTRA GOVT CENTRE and karnataka BJP for the problem and simply wash off their hands from this border dispute
