In this episode Tarikh Nikhil talks about Che Guevara was an Argentine Marxist, revolutionary, physician, author, guerrilla, diplomat, and military theorist. He was born in Rosario, Argentina on June 14, 1928. He was the oldest of five children in a middle-class family. His parents were political activists. Guevara became a medical student in 1948. He wanted to pursue an engineering career, but after his grandmother's death in 1947, he decided to become a doctor and find a cure for asthma. He completed his medical studies in 1953.
Guevara's worldview was changed by the poverty he saw during a nine-month journey through Latin America in 1951-52. He was a part of the 26th of July Movement in Cuba. He became a revolutionary leader who inspired many and brought the guerrilla to victory in 1959.
Guevara's practical and theoretical work had a profound political impact around the globe during the second half of the 20th century. He has become a persisting symbol for counterculture and revolution through the generations.

One really amusing story, about che is, when he was almost getting killed by a sudden air strike in Sierra Maestra forest during Cuban revolution. According to other fighters' accounts, he was so engaged in reading Ernest Hemingway's 'For Whom the Bell Tolls', that he didn't notice the plane coming! 'For whom the bell Tolls' was a fovourite among them, and Rebels' leader Fidel Castro strictly instructed his guerrilla army of 'no molestation of villages girls,' in line of the novel's hero, Jordan. Even any such intention was severely punishable in their army consisting of both male and female members.
