We arrived in Pinas last nite 27Feb from US. We're Dual Citizens. It took 1.5 hrs from deplaning ( 20 minutes wait sa plane kasi maraming nagkasabay na planes that arrived from Int'l destinations). Line up n wait a bit in BOQ area. The main three items that u mentioned, Jennifer were the one's they were asking- QR code on OneHealth Pass, Vaccine card n 48 hr Negative PCR test in that order. After that, line up in Immigration n Customs ( lined up in Seniors/ PWD lane which is shorter ( I'm 63) but still a longer line n wait. U have to fill up the Immigration form sa plane pa or else will take u longer when u do it na sa Terminal. Then baggage area passing thru BOQ to get clearance ticket/pass to give to Coast Guard people after getting ur baggage n leaving for Taxi/ Ride outside. Overall it was longer but was expected due to a lot arrival planes from abroad. Just have plenty of patience n u'll be fine!👍🇵🇭🇺🇸🕵️😷
Awesome to hear your travel went without a hitch. My question: you didn't mention anything about Travel Insurance...a hot topic and stressful protocol for us needing to travel. Any input will be greatly appreciated.
@@olinadganabac3502 They are Dual citizens , so Travel insurance is not required. Only Foreigners fully vaccinated are required travel insurance. If you are US citizen even you are Filipino without valid Filipino passport or documents, you are considered a Foreigner. For me , I might consider buying the cheapest travel insurance with $50,000 medical coverage for extra protection, travel cancellations and frequent changing of rules and requirements.
Im a US citizen ( Balikbayan). Getting to Manila is the easiest part. I have all the necessary paperwork, vaccination card ,OHP, Negative PCR test & everything else. There' no more quarantine but I stayed in manila for 6 days anyway before traveling to the province. Imagine my surprised when I arrived in Rosario LA Union ,I've been told to report at this one clinic to do a swab test & I have to quarantine till I get my result Apparently the quarantine got lifted in Manila but not in the province Different interpretation of the IATF resolution Theres eyes everywhere too because today I got reported jogging around the farm with mask at that So moral of the story it doesn't matter what the DOH or IATF says it doesn't apply in the provinces
Thanks a lot Jen !!! Youre a big help to us , Filipinos (GC Holder), who wants to see our family in the Philippines ! Thank you again and God bless !!!

Thank you very much. Question po. My Father is dual citizen but no Phil. passport available or expired. Ano po pipiliin sa One Health Pass as "Passport Type"?
Thanks for this! My father and mother are going back to the Philippines in a couple of weeks, and I recently purchased travel insurance for my father who is a dual citizen of the US and the PH. I might have to cancel the travel insurance order for my father since it is not required for dual citizens.
If you parents are under medicare in the US, any medical emergency in the Philippines is not covered by medicare. I would suggest to retain the medical insurance you bought while they are there. I didn't get travel medical insurance before during my travels to the Philippines but I now realized that it's necessary in case of any medical emergency since medicare will not cover it. I will get insurance in my next travel later this year.

Hi Jennifer, I’m from Canada, this is not my first trip to the Philippines but first since I left in April 2020 where I got stuck on an unplanned extended stay, I’m a foreign spouse flew into Philippines as a tourist to visit my wife. I landed in Manila on 26 Feb 2022, I had a forwarding destination to Iloilo, I found things in Manila kinda confusing and a little unorganized in Manila, they were organized in which they had things set up but the people running things were not really pointing people in directions and I had to ask where to go at every step of the way, even at times while on the way, maybe more signage would of been better and less confusing. I had all my documents prepared before hand including the S-Pass required for Iloilo. My only other recommendation would be to allow foreigners the ability to get a SIM card while inside the terminal areas, however I understand early morning arrivals 3am, or late evening arrivals might remain difficult. Airport Wi-Fi don’t allow access for foreigners without a Philippine cell number. Thanks for everything you do, it has helped me to better prepare for my trip.

You can not get a PCR test at 1:30am here to be on a fight 2 days later 48 hours at the same time. That Philippines Airlines is a straight 16 hour flight.
