Listening to Mr. Walters for minutes is like taking years of life lessons and financial education.
How can you not love Billy
Great guy...we both came up in car biz..
Cause he’s a snake in the grass
Fascinating story. I wish the interview had been another hour longer.
This is one of the most fascinating interviews on UA-cam. Love Billy Walters.
Reading some of the comments.. 🤦🏻♂️ shocking , don’t judge, you have not been in this guys or lances shoes. Wrong is wrong , but when you have an utterly corrupt system , and a loose cannon judge laying down punishment then miscarriages like this occur. And the past and current state of things shows that power corrupts.. Great but painful story .. I can relate 🙏
What is him family relationship to Garland Walters (poker player) from same small town in Kentucky?
Armstrong is an inspiration to all aspiring dopers that crime pays. Most people Lance’s age are still working full time. It’s easy to get over your downfall when you still have money.
As an aspiring doper, I sure hope I don't follow Armstrong's path
This was the era of mega doping, everyone in the top 10 was ALSO doping. Armstrong's wealth began before he even went to Europe by winning the Dupont Race Series paying him $1,000,000.
After being busted he lost probably 90% of all his sponsorship income. I understand that people hate him for lying but what shouldn't be forgotten is he raised $500,000,000 for cancer research and if cancer hasn't touched your life, consider yourself lucky. THAT fact trumps the doping.
Many successful pro athletes, especially baseball players, got away with multiple millions by taking illegal steroids.
the goat
Hello, I would like to speak with Billy, I do not run out of ideas. How can someone connect me with Billy.
I wish I aged as well as Lance Armstrong. That is a good look.
wonder if billy new lefty rosenthal from stardist back in 80s
Stardust had the purest greens I’ve ever seen.
He knew Drogba from Biggles
I spoke with BILL the week he went to prison...he was not in a talking mood...😂..but i love WALTERS family ... GARLAND RIP MAN...WE LOVE YOU IN KY BILL...BUT YOU ALREADY KNOW THAT😂
How’s his buddy Herbie doing?
@@katastrafika5253 I certainly don't know all of BILLS friends & family but the ones I've met I have the utmost respect for same as BILL & MRS.WALTERS...
Narcissism is naturally blunted by a lifetime of consequences, but that's nothing to be commended. Transcending the primitive fears that led to prioritizing the wrong things (attention seeking/material things) is where the rubber meets the enlightened road.
Actually Bill was very quiet about his endeavors...his auto group was named WALTERS but the dealerships were not ..he shunned the spotlight.. people from ky of Bills generation never forget their humble upbringings..they understand money & hard work & many had big goals & aspirations man... nothing wrong with huge success..man also had bills to pay like you & I ..
@@Sharkofwatches I live by my own philosophy, and how you define success is the devil in the details. There's a reason the capitalistic priorities of the West were so vulnerable to everything Yuri Bezmenov warned us about in the 80s. Socialism/Communism isn't the answer either, but we'll continue banging our heads against the same societal cycles until we figure out the law of moderation applies to everything. Including all things monetary.
@@kenhiett5266 stale rhetoric from a bleak existence...I've read the crap....it's from the bottom view...what would they expect from life with one lowly perspective...it's you with the hangups..not BILL...YOU IGNORE HIS PHILANTHROPY...
@@Sharkofwatches Moderation is a bleak existence in the most abundant country in the most abundant time in human history? Monetary wealth is easy for someone born with advantages like me. The motivations that manifest as irrational decadence in our modern world of abundance came from the evolutionary pressures that shaped us. Evolutionary pressures of much leaner times.
I understand why this conversation makes you uncomfortable, but I'm not trying to hold the moral high ground over you. I don't believe I'm better than Bill or you or anyone else, but my particular life path led me to some foundational discoveries about our species. It led to an enlightened place I strongly believe is the answer to what will continue to ail human existence otherwise.
@@kenhiett5266 are you a micro doser?
Bro said he benched 400 lbs stfu lmao
I don't think there is as much shame on you by people as you think.... People that understand doping and placing and your build up don't... i've also talked to various people 25-35 age who have no athletic stuff and they also understand it and realize the whole comp was doing it etc... and doping is part of that level .... so anyone with a level head can understand / doesn't really care.... its just certain ages of women and "cyclists" of the past?
Nothing worse than being hooked on opiates.
Sibilant Southern accent....
Can't stand Lance, total narcissist, you can tell he didn't even read the book, hope someone better interviews this gentleman
He has tons of interviews out there.
Lance doesn't want to play golf with Billy because he would have ZERO chance to win any wagers with him...
Washed
sad.....he looks sick
Billy? , he is 77 I believe.
@@jamesrav still in the 60 min interview you saw a man filled with life. Jail broke this man and its sad.
prison didn't break him ,60 min interview was 13 years ago. its called aging @@tonypadula8658
He's fine...gos to Dr constantly...his close cousin lived to be up in 80s...BILL ain't going anywhere..
@@tonypadula8658if anything broke him it would probably be his daughter’s death moreso than the jail stint
Billy is cool,Lance has terrible speaking habits, uhh, ohh, umm, etc.
