If you go round one more time with a fishing line, it works well for hooks

That's an adjustable grip knot. You can use it to tie tent support lines by sliding it down until the line is taut and it will not lose it's position. Gardeners use it also for securing tall trellises in place. We have a pea trellis that is 12 feet long & 8 feet tall and it is held in place by 6 lines that go from the top down to anchor pegs about 2 feet out from the trellis bottom.... three on each side. It works great!
