I just bought a 2019 Challenger R/T. I did my homework, insurance cost, fuel, maintenance and so on, against the Hellcat and SRT. Yes, I know it's only a 5.7 / 372 hp, but as a 63 year old, I'm happy with it. BTW, I traded a 2015 Ram Big Horn and my insurance actually went down! It's funny to see a Go Mango colored R/T, with an old couple in it!

I agree. I had a SRT 392 automatic and a manual hellcat challenger. Hands down the 392 automatic was better to drive, and felt faster. Now I’m rocking a charger hellcat, best of both worlds.
Felt faster? I've heard from Hellcat owners that the Hellcat felt way faster than 392's they had driven, and drag race results seem to prove that. I'm not trying to say you're wrong or a liar, I'm just curious about why you say it felt faster
when they drop out of warranty they get cheap fast. it's hard to own on thats out of warranty. and dodge is gonna keep building faster and faster cars.

" i can do that because i have the red line rt from 2014. without a 4 door car to play with i have no evidence for it. but i'm thinking the challenger has a stiffer chassis.
Expect to buy and replace lot of tires, you should have buy a stock on Pirelli Tire Company. Note: the higher cost for Leasing Charger is due to the Charger lower expected resale value compares to the Challenger.
Got my '16 charger brand new in January 2017 for 60k CAD. Worth every penny. 800 bucks per month for 8 years @ 3.5%, but I'm putting 1 to 3k extra each month. Stock tires went bald in 10k kms. Michelin PS4S have much better grip and look like they'll last around 40k kms. I blow $60-80 CAD per day on gas on weekend. Still worth it. Insurance was around $800 CAD/year before I got my tickets (Family sedan ftw). Do not run it in winter, salt will eat through it.
Late reply but its not a bad idea, you just can't mod it until after you finish the lease. Could always pre purchase all the mods for when the lease is up though lol payments are cut in half, and by the end of the 2-3 years it should depreciate atleast 60%. Also you have to be watch your mileage and i believe you can't leave your state without going through a bunch of BS.
It's true about when he said mechanics will charge you more simply on the type of car (bmw , hellcat, mercedes) .. My cousin has a shop & he told me the same thing

I get 15.8 mpg cloe to 16 but the reason why is because i do alot of highway driving n its my daily driver n Don't get me wrong me I jump on it from time to time because u won't get tired of 707 power so u can really get good mpg if u drive it like normal car but the purpose of cat is for racing or track.
I can guarantee you that if you dont drive it like you stole on a regular basis( going to work/commuting) you can get 19-20 mpg on the highway but that’s the problem impulse driving your gonna race people in their inferior cars or once in a while contenders plus do at least one pull a day maybe two lol

I brought a 18' SRT Charger, coming from a 15' ChevySS sedan at the end of 2018. Even after modding the SS & a tune up, in my opinion it doesn't compare to the torque that the SRT Charger puts out from the factory. But I wouldn't mind owning both! Lol
