Why does the Q53 have less artics available than the Q52?

Because LaGuardia operates the Q53 and JFK Operates the Q52

The Q52 uses less buses, it also shares its Artic Fleet with the Q10 having about 40 pooled Artics. The Q53 has about 26 of its own Artics but some of the 2017 XD60s at LGA are in maintenance. Also remember those 40 foot runs are all extras, essentially just they’re there to fill in Gaps

@@Real_IDKProJFK And LGA have an about equal Artic count. The Thing is The Q53 runs more frequently and therefore has less spare artics to work with. This is why in addition to 40 footers you’ll also see LGA Linked wrapped buses doing Q53 trips every now and then.

I hope these buses retire quickly at LaGuardia like the ones at JFK
