MTA New York City Bus & MTA Bus Company : (E) & (F) Train Subway Shuttle Buses @ Briarwood

- Over the past five weekends, E and F trains were not running between Jamaica & Forest Hills because of some major signal and track work. E and F trains ran normally from their respective southern terminals, but ran local from Queens Plaza and 21st Street-Queensbridge, to Forest Hills.
R trains were running between Queens Plaza and 95th Street. E and F trains replaced R train service in Queens.
As a result, a ton of shuttle buses made their way through Queens, some of which that you wont ever see in Queens unless there's a big shuttle bus operation of sorts, like this one!
What you'll see here are several different kinds of shuttle buses making their way through the Briarwood area.

To me as european, american buses design and colours looks so much sexy and beautiful compared to all our european buses... Which are so dull. American bus design was always miles ahead and like from another planet.

I wonder why they have words instead of number
They represent the borough that the line serves, usually based off the first letter. For example, a Bx prefix is a route in the Bronx, M serves Manhattan, etc.
I'm curious so the people that just hop on through the back door's just get a free ride?
It's a free Shuttle bus to the short lined E/F subway lines at 71-Continental Ave station...
So, which ones are the NYC Transit buses and which ones are the MTA Bus Company ones?
No way to tell the difference because the only way to tell is to look for the garage sticker.
The ones that say MTA Bus on them, are MTA Bus Company buses. The ones that say MTA New York City Bus are New York City Transit buses.

Except for the first two buses at the beginning, these are the most ugly pieces of sh*t I've ever seen. Look more like Martian machines rather than buses.i wouldn't be caught driving these monstrosities.
Robbi D The LFS/A’s are very reliable buses and i think you’d like them if you actually got on one and rode it.
The Novabus LFS and XD40 Xcelciors ride very smoothly, especially the New Flyer C40LFs. The only bus that's type crappy is the Orion 7 3G. And boy the retired RTSs will always be #1.
