Leave the plastic on? That's some googan shit. Always laugh when I see it. Might as well leave the tag hanging off the guide and maybe even tape the receipt to it.
It seems the u40 works best AFTER you break the cork in alil bit!! I feel it makes cork brittle i love the cork seal but after 20 plus rods the cork that was broke in first worked best with it!!
Never trust a man that leaves the plastic on his cork !! j/k I actually sealed a new rod yesterday , the little sponge brushes work nice. I rinse out the brush with water , they stay good for a long time. You gonna fish down there too ? Good luck if so !
@@skeeterboy77 agree but I’ve had used rods come in where moisture as soaked from both unsealed ends and permanently left a bad discoloration. There’s one that was for sale on the group page that looked real bad for it. If I can find it I’ll tag you.

what is your follow up review on this u40 cork handle sealer? has it still protected your rods for all these yearS?
Just got my xtasy spinning rod in too! Was a hard decision between Spinning and baitcasting 😑
Rookie Angler yea I don’t own a single spinning rod..🤷♀️😎 Xtasy is sweet
@@skeeterboy77 yea i wanted the baitcaster one but i use more spinning. but it paired up good with my stella lol
@@cptpwnhub2668 hell yea that will be a sweet combo! Good luck man.

Thanks Man !
Trey, What Dobyns graphie rod is best for chatterbaits mostly open water? I was thinking a CB765?
steve4321able 736CB or a Sierra 733/34 depending on how heavy..
I dont see that Dobyns makes a 736CB
736CB glass
736 glass is the deal
736CB Glass is an awesome chatterbait rod that does alot more too
The cork on the Xstasy is too nice not to have in your hand. Sealed mine as soon as I got it with U40.
Kung Pow they are sweet rods.. sealed all 3
Never trust a man that leaves the plastic on his cork !! j/k

Flatzout lol I think I’ve been doing it for 5 years maybe..🤷♀️😂😂
Trey Harpel 🤣
Hey are you still selling bait casting neoprene covers?
going to have more on the way
@@skeeterboy77 I just ordered 7 from another vendor. Gotta keep them reals covered.
You said the plastic doesn’t bother you much. Why dont you just use polyurethane? It looks better, feels like plastic but its a way better sealant.
Plastic holds in moisture.
And yet I’ve never had an issue on the hundreds of rods I’ve owned.. the plastic or doing U40 doesn’t bother me one bit..😎

Leave the plastic on huh 🥴
I do own more than one rod..🥴😂😉
title misleading.
