I remember watching this is 7th grade. Our substitute had never seen this movie, and when it got to this part she turned to the class and asked us "Is this what black churches are really like? And all of us black kids were like.... "Yeah pretty much"
He went up flying and in a explosion of light changes his clothes and the only thing that de officer manage to think it's that is a trick, man, she sounded like Mr. Satan from Dragon Ball Z xD
In the first movie, the light shines on Jake in a comedically over-the-top way. Well, if that was over-the-top, this is pole-vaulting over the fucking moon.
The second movie was a financial failure. The first movie, however idiot, was a national phenomenon. What excitement it created!! The first time I went to see it, in or near Cal City, we didn’t even get into the theater!! This is maybe the worst sequel ever. (But, they crashed more cars in this one...)
@@sludge4125 it depends on how you view it. For me, it encapsulated the way Dan Ackroyd tried to revive a popular formula, only to have his creativity spat on by studio execs who wanted it to be marketed to children. The past trying to come back only to be buried and neglected by the cold present day reality.
Say whatever you want about the movie, because I never cared for the plot of either movies, the songs in this one are great. And that’s entirely why I prefer this over the original. More songs.
I love how the Blues brothers movie producers incorporate these powerful spiritual songs into their movies! It's so much of an intrical part of American culture, and history, both past and present.
I love this movie for the songs and the singers like Lou Rawls, Billy Preston, Issac Hayes, BB King and Aretha Franklin and all the rest great performance. Awesome
I love it when Cab had an epiphany and he was finally redeemed by God. And I love the wardrobe change from Cab being a policeman to a member of the Blues Brothers. Cab Calloway would be so proud.
I think he realized what his real thing in life was all about, other than being a bad cop, selfish and zealous. That's why this hot cop became a cold-blooded man again and is with Elwood and the Blues Brothers Band
Blues Brothers June 25, 2020 Covid 19 Edition. Who still likes it here? Come on tell me your revelation not that you see the light... maga maga! ahh amaga maga loll
With that being said however as horrible as this movie is you can tell when the commander is dancing you can tell he truly inherited some of his talent from Curtis. Honestly I would have been more forgiving had the film been about this guy (although the amazingly stupid seeing the light sequence ruined it) trying to connect with his blues brothers heritage. I mean Elwood after finding out both Jake, Curtis, and the orphanage are gone barely mourns over them and instantly replaces them with Goodman and the kid.
The music was great. However, John Belushi's manic song and dance were miles ahead of his replacement, John Goodman. Also, its plot was derivative, lackluster, and didn't seem to go anywhere.
I want to go to black church so bad. I feel like yall be really getting down like this. Unfortunately, I dont have 28 free hours on Sunday so I will keep having to wonder.
i was channel surfing one day and i saw when he started floating in the sky and then his clothes changed....i turned the channel saying..."oh well, i'll never watch this"
The power of James Brown will not be denied!
Amen brother 😎🙏
The Absolute Power of Christ and the Power of James Brown compels you.
I know Blues Brothers 2000 is seen as a really bad unnecessary sequel but it's just weird enough to make me love it
If the movie was made earlier, it would’ve been better, but the movie is gold. Childhood memories
The late 90s were weird
Same
But a well worth experience to a classic comedy with a shot of damn good music.
This scene and funky Nassau did it for me 😂😂😂😂😂😂
This film was so criminally underrated.
Not by the ones that know music.
This would have been better if Jim Belushi took Iverson his brithers role after he died following the first film.
😂😂
Not underrated
seen it in theaters and they had blues brothers impersonators that did a mini show before the movie and watched the movie with us in the theater
To quote Jake from the original: YES 🙌 YES 🙌 JESUS H TAP-DANCING CHRIST, I HAVE SEEN THE LIGHT 💡!!! 🤩
Oh man he was fooling too
REGINALD HILL SAY THAT JESUS SONG IS BACK FOR YOU IN 2024❤❤❤
This was my favorite part of the movie and I still got this on VHS 📼
Sam Moore and James Brown is the duo I never knew I needed 🙌🏽🤍✨

You forgot the lesson of the first movie:
Don't you blaspheme in here.
DON'T YOU BLASPHEME IN HERE
He went up flying and in a explosion of light changes his clothes and the only thing that de officer manage to think it's that is a trick, man, she sounded like Mr. Satan from Dragon Ball Z xD
DBZ is nowhere this bat-shit insane. It's purely insane.
Now that's what I call absolute redemption by God.

I like both
Hallelujah!!!
When Cab started singing and dancing, I thought "Not bad for a cop".
For real

"integral" not "intrical" 🙄
Yes I love John The Revelator! Awesome song!
I love this movie for the songs and the singers like Lou Rawls, Billy Preston, Issac Hayes, BB King and Aretha Franklin and all the rest great performance. Awesome
Exactly. And James Brown and Sam Moore in this scene😁
R.I.P. But I know Sam Moore is not dead!

Thanks Curtis. R.I.P Cab Calloway.

One of the best scenes in the movie, hard to find btw
I love it when Cab had an epiphany and he was finally redeemed by God. And I love the wardrobe change from Cab being a policeman to a member of the Blues Brothers. Cab Calloway would be so proud.

IVOKE THE CALLING OF THE BLOOD! THE REVELATION OF JESUS!

I just watched the NC review of this movie and it was way funnier to watch than the actual film itself.
This is not a movie, it's a Musical!!!!
Can you not forgive?
*YES!!!*
When Cab was looking at the Blues Brothers, I was like "sorry".
Can you sin no more?
Invoke The Calling Of The Blood!
James Brown
Brown la musica in cattedrale la storia del blues band coca Cola e rum scuro
When Cab received his Blues Suit , it gives me goosebumps and glad he accepted his fate as a Blues Brother
1:57 - And that car is just driving by, minding its own business, yet distracting the shot. LOL
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ ...........................................................Thank you for sharing . xoxo
What happened then? Well, at the revival they say
That young Cab's small heart grew three sizes that day.

4:56 - After everything they saw, the police STILL try to arrest them in a church. I guess they chose the devil over God.
The cops made that choice in the first movie.
When james brown said that i felt it
That second preacher can hit some damn good notes
James Brown

james brown is the only person who can save the blues brothers!
Jesus! Jesus! The revelation of Jesus!
I know James Brown is the King of soul but that other Reverend certainly gave him a run for his money.
Marty Coslow That’s Sam Moore of the duo Sam & Dave, and he is a real soul man! Which was one of the duo’s biggest hits.
A.B.S Productions, LLC Oh OK! I thought he looked familiar! Thanks for the info :)
Same here, I thought he looked familiar as well....lol
The best of the best everything in its place just love this movie the music the singers and actors worked so well 👌 👏 👍 😊
Miles Dyson.
He takes the microphone with him.
The first and second movie has an all star cast . This was James browns last film
They obviously own a super sized clown car
I think he realized what his real thing in life was all about, other than being a bad cop, selfish and zealous. That's why this hot cop became a cold-blooded man again and is with Elwood and the Blues Brothers Band

Best case of Jerusalem Syndrome Ever 😂😂😂😂
great clip, but HORRID capture of it. Suggesting you recorded it on a potato would be insulting to potatoes.
I'm sure he did it to avoid it being taken down. I'll take it like this.

That'll happen when you inherit some of Cab's mojo.
With that being said however as horrible as this movie is you can tell when the commander is dancing you can tell he truly inherited some of his talent from Curtis.
