I grew up fishin lake Erie. I missed some pretty great like opportunities. But the bass and perch😅... Getting plenty of pike on the bay of quinte these days though🤙
I'm hitting st Clair hard tomorrow! Man I'm so pumped! I'll be throwing medussas for sure. I'll definitely be using the technique you've shown me robbie, thanks!
I know a lot of musky guys are like ewwww pike, but I personally love pike. Theyre a fun by-catch. Muskies are smart and dont always cooperate, but pike are dumb and will mostly hit anything, so pike keep musky fishing interesting.
Have you tried using in-line hooks instead of the treble hooks? Just wondering if they hook up ok since they look like it would make the release process a little less dangerous.
Is the musky not up there in lake superior? I remember wondering this the last time you went out chasing Northern up there!? Seems weird living right next to Green Bay knowing how many giants are out there that they wouldn’t be up there?
there are monster musky in superior, im from the canadian side of huron and there are absolute creatures in those waters lol, but its always fun to chase down big pike too!! i find myself targeting pike specifically couple days a week because theyre just super fun to catch!
@@midwestoutdoorstv9235 Right, a 37 incher is a big pike , but not a giant .I've been fishing muskies since 1988 & mainly the St-Lawrence & Ottawa rivers & the biggest pike I ever caught were 39 '' . I would consider any pike over 40 " in this area to be a giant. If you go up north ( Lake Mistassini ) you can get 50 " pike . Problem is , this is a big bad ass hard to get to & dangerous lake to fish .
@@TodaysAngler I'm not saying they don't exist , I know of somebody who caught a 46 " pike in the Ottawa river, but they are far & few between . In these waters any pike of 30'' or more is a nice catch & a big one .
Hey Denis , when you single handedly film a quality video on a huge body of water successfully catching the species your targeting. Then you might be able to talk smack. Untill then BUTTON IT !
@@mikebizoune233 yeah I saw another comment saying he was in superior so your probably right , I'm just happy to see pike taking over the lakes they can get big with that much water I'm going to be fishing for them in lake Michigan whenever I can 👍
I love using the medussas for pike, the mini size (not the micro) seems to be perfect for the bigger ones. I like the white color.
Loving the great lakes Pike missions Robbie!!! Keep doin 'em!
agreed

They don't stick outside the width of the bait, could be a problem
They look so nice the pike. I live in Standish now.
Wow big
