What's actually amazing about Baby Metal is they're able to take an entire genre that's basically coasting on fumes and inject something completely original into it and make it contemporary, original, and entertaining as hell executed with incredible talent. This is the very definition of art.
I completely agree. Jpop has been such a shit genre for about 15 years now, maybe longer. Them adding a legit banging genre like heavy metal into Jpop really gives it an edge and makes it bearable for a non Japanese audience!
What is more amazing is that Hank Chinaski is writing again, welcome back to the land of the living Buk.

Her 'Hashire!' is getting better and better and it was already phenomenal when she was younger
I just used Google translate to see the word for run. It seems she prounces it a bit different from how the robot pronounces it. Google pronounces it hashiRU. It sounds like Su said "Hashir-yea". Nevertheless you're right. And wails that last Hashire!!

As far as the camerawork goes, this is the best version of this song. Better lighting, more close-ups, a bit more of the Kami Band. Great production design, great performance. This is an excellent example of why it is worth going to live shows.

Who's in charge of the dance choreographies?? I just love how every single movement is so deliberate. I wouldn't even care if it was micromanaged.
One person behind the scenes and the very pretty lady with the twintails you see dancing in the video. They both make the choreographies together.
@@juliogomesdesouza9035 -- My favorite dance choreography is Shanti Shanti. The girl who filled in for Yui is great but I still miss Yui very much!! The selfish side of me wants her to return to the band. The real kicker is that I've only been a fan since last June!!

I would've loved the band to be closer and feeding off each other's vibe. But I think this setup was more to do with Covid protocols is that correct?
I know right? But it does make sense given the pandemic is still a thing. Maybe in the future we can actually *see* the Kami Band again and hopefully they get rid of the masks cause it just doesn’t feel right imo

They might have swapped out during the 10(?) performances? You can definitely tell Leda as he is energetic as all hell, and Boh has his stance
The original Kami band played during these performances, they had their guitars so people were able to spot them from that :)
