Bought it digitally for ps5, physical copy for ps5 and physical for switch. Always gonna show as much love to MvC as possible, it's a cornerstone of my arcade days.
I bought digital ps5 and physical for Switch. I was never crazy good but I will be purchasing an arcade joystick controller for my ps5 soon so I can get better 👍🏾
I bought it 4 times. Digital, PS4 and Switch physicals, plus and extra Switch physical for my friend's sons for Christmas, cause he loves Marvel and shows interest in fighting game.
Grabbed physical on Switch and I'm not disappointed. I like how they mapped the controls, video filters are great and the comic was a nice touch. People have been waiting for this collection for well over ten years, so it's not too surprising it's sold well. Definitely looking forward to the next one with the Capcom vs. SNK games.
Not only that you have people like me who were too young to be able to pay the original arcade versions but grew up with seeing videos on them and now being able to buy them as young adults. And also the appeal of marvel thanks to the movies and comics
I’m actually looking more forward to that collection because I think CVS2 is the greatest fighting game ever made. Plus Powerstone 2 and the other games are amazing too and I haven’t played since I was a kid so nostalgia.
I've been meaning to pick this up for my son. He's big into side scrolling brawlers and it's the only place to find The Punisher. I just wish they would release their Alien Vs. Predator brawler. I spent a lot of time in the arcade with that one back in the day.
I played punisher with my 9 year old and the only games we play together are side scrollers and he really loved how violent Punisher was. Def recommend it bro
I think Capcom's gameplan is building up momentum by revisiting their IPs and giving them the RE Engine treatment. The game have gotten this so far are the Resident Evil games starting from 7, Street Fighter 6, Devil May Cry 5, Monster Hunter Rise and Wilds, Exoprimal, Kunitsu Gami, Ghost n Goblins Ressurections, Dead Rising, Ghost Trick and Dragons Dogma 2. Soon Onimusha and Okami will follow suit but no word yet on Pragmata's completion. The games have not yet been in RE Engine before are Darkstalkers, Rival Schools, Final Fight, Breath of Fire, Star Gladiator, Megaman, Viewtiful Joe, Dino Crisis, Bionic Commando, amongst others. Then they can reuse those "assets" on their big crossovers like MVC, CVS, Capcom All Stars etc. So yeah maybe we should really wait longer. What do you think?
Glad to hear it sold well. I assume the Capcom Fighting Collection also sold well given that there's a Capcom Fighting Collection 2. In that case, a new MVC could come in the future. But most importantly, a new Darkstalkers title that looooooong overdue.

@baddabaddabaddaswing Getting the Tatsunoko licenses would be the issue. The home version even lost a character from the arcade version because of licensing issues. I would love to see it, but until then, I'm taking good care of my Wii version.

I hope you was able to pick up a copy when Amazon, Best Buy, & Walmart had it down to $35. I had my preorder copy and returned it since it wasn't open and bought a copy for Switch & PS4 for $35.
If their goal is not to break the bank and release things which could sell over the long-term, one would assume that they would port the PS3 Xbox 360 era Code Veronica X HD to PC to test the waters since that game doesn’t even exist on the platform through conventional means.
I think it should be important to distinguish between selling well and selling as expected. Case in point, the Dead Rising remaster. It sold as expected…it did not however “sell well”. It sold about as well as a decade old title could be considered to sell. Yes it had censorship issues but for a game as old as dead rising 1 is that was never going to seriously impact sales, because sales were never going to the moon in the first place. This isn’t like the RE1 remake either. That game was an entirely new, from the ground up retelling of the original game that started it all. Dead Rising kept everything about the layout of the mall, the mechanics and controls (with some QoL adjustments and improvements), and merely redesigned the character models whilst needlessly removing titalation to appease DEI censors.

Either you make no money or make money Better off to MAKE money than to let something sit on a shelf for EVERYONE including the people who own the rights and let your characters and franchise DIE to be worthless
I know this about marvel v Capcom but I dunno why they couldn't being sparking zero to the switch . Graphically it's not much different than DB kakarot.
Hopefuly it will be enough to finance a new MVC game, Marvel Rivals for marvel is doing extremely well and SF6 is too for capcom, hopefuly the team that will be in charge will give the series its glory back, I personaly don"t want a 2.5d but rather, full blown HD sprites, I know it will take a lot of time but they don't have to make 56 characters of the bat, they could start with 30 and have dlc packs of 10 charaters for each season and releaase each characters in a monthly basis etc. The Superman movie is coming soon with a bunch of other hero movies so I think its time for Capcom and Marvel to capitalize on the occasion.
I think Capcom should go back to making thier Street Fighter games to be hand drawn looking (like the new cel-shaded Guilty Gear games). I DO NOT LIKE THE ARTSTYLE OF NEW STREET FIGHTERS GAMES!! GO BACK TO an ANIME STYLE PLEASE!! Capcom vs SNK 1 and 2, Street Fighter Alpha 3, and Street Fighter III all had that anime look to them which is what made street fighter stand out. Then for Street Fighter 4 they went with an ugly 3D look to it. (probably to make money seling costumes?) I don't like the 3D looking character model and wish capcom followed Arc System Works by making it look like hand drawn celshaded anime characters. Genshin Impact, Zelda Breath of the Wild, Guilty Gear etc all have this anime style to them that is appealing to gamers and I feel like they are ignoring us! I still haven't bought Street Fighter 6 because I hate that they are using 3D polygonal looking graphics. Go back to making nice sprites and polygonal models which are filtered with a celd shaded look because I hate the art style of the Street Fighter games these days. Ever since Street Fighter 4 they jumped the shark in terms of graphic style. I DO NOT WANT A PHOTOREALISTIC RYU or KEN. Keep the personality of the original games where it had comic book feel to the world.
I think the best looking 3D ryu was in smash ultimate which wasn't a street fighter game but it wasn't trying to be hyper realistic. But yeah I 100% agree with you they should go back to 2D characters or do what dragonball fighterz did and make 3D characters look 2D and if you've seen that game it visually looks phenomenal
@@NewGabeOrder The reason I think capcom went with a 'toyetic' cg artstyle is mostly cost-cutting reasons and not because it looks better. As a result SF as a franchise has slowly lost appeal to japanese fans imo. The comic book look is what people remember from the older games and it works. Nintendo and Sega were the first to use Cel-shaded graphics (Zelda Wind Waker and Jet Set Radio) and it may be time for capcom to build all future SF games with that look from here on. People will never see Street Fighter like Tekken. They both need to stay in their lane and be what they are. The more matte look instead of shiny plastic look is better. When they make it look like tekken and characters look plasticy it just suggest capcom went cheap. It just doesn't suit SF.
@@UToobUsername01 I'm aware, I own 4 fighting games published by them including FighterZ still it would be nice. We've had Capcom team up with Nintendo and SNK a Collab with arc systems would be a dream now that I think of it.

(probably to make money seling costumes?)
I don't like the 3D looking character model and wish capcom followed Arc System Works by making it look like hand drawn celshaded anime characters.
KOF XII and XIII kept the 2D sprites when Capcom moved on to 3D. You can consider playing those fighters for now.
@@timewarrior7298 Arc System Works did DBFZ, same guys behind Guilty Gear.
I have those games in ps2 . And i play it in a crt tv.
I dont understand why people buy a game and looks like shit in a tv hd.
If it was a remastered i can understand and even buy it . But waste $40 for a blurry pixeled game lol no thanks
Xbox boys be here like 🥲🔥
Hands down marvel vs capcom 2 was the best
Bro that game is the goat I don’t care what anyone says!
Marvel vs capcom 4 was a flop worst like re3 remake but marvel vs capcom collection was good
