But the Mystic sucks in comparison with the MC90. You just can't take advantage of its supposed strenght, fighting from a distance. You would either lesser your frontline hp pool, or allowing the enemy to take one of your ship utterly easily by popping reinforcment right at him. Then your main fleet will have enemy ships everywhere around it: you will be screwed. You won't be able to manage the aggro with your frigates as they will get rekt anywhere.

Shack the hand is very very very deadly there ships are super powerfull BE CAREFUL around there warlord gunships they have torpedo launchers that tear through shields and they can turn on power to weapons that makes them shoot almost non stop and there fighters are very fast and there carriers can launch a lot of them
And so are there bombers there bombers are fast and deadly so you MUST have a fighter screen when fighting the hand withought taking out the fighters and hangers your doomed
Matthew Elvins yes the hand is op and they have the megamaser tank pretty much a moving turbolaser tower then shoots blue lasers of death they are very op but they do have a weakest other then a SSD witch is self explanatory and the other weakness they have is that there there pretty frail other then 2 ships there all frail and with no fighters you can just remove them like a insect and there ground units for one there infantry is straight up crap and they rely on there armor way to much also they have short selection of ships and units for there armies so if you find weakness for a certain unit it is unlikely that it will ever go away

yeah there a bug with the emperor where it automatically put him on planets which was lucky for shack since he commands the most powerful super star destroyer in the game, still i laughed when the emperor decided to take your army for himself
You've gotta be careful when engaging the hand fleet with Thrawn in it, there's a lot of Star Destroyers in there. Their cool tube-ish one can match an ISD evenly, their fighters are stronger than yours if they've got their super interceptors and heavy fighter-bombers, all their ships carry a ton of fighters as well, I'd prioritize hangars over all. You will need as many interceptors, corellian gunships, and Nebulons as you can get, while still keeping as many Mc80B's and Mc90's as possible. Try to get two Mc80B/90's per enemy star destroyer, and then flood the rest with interceptors and nebulons. Also, check out Yavin 4, there's something nice there for you. Final note.... STOP KILLING HEROES! Get Lando out of that fleet and drop him off somewhere with a lot of credit income, you'll see a large boost in credits. Get Leia, along with at least three Mc90's, to Mon Calamari, your big ships will be super cheap. Also, position Wedge near the eastern front, with a few of your new New Class carriers and star destroyers helping him. Move in and cut off their heavy frigate ship yards, if you don't cut off the little squiggle at Telos they'll spend tons of resources needlessly throwing Victory-2's at you until they can't afford to spam executors.
Duuuude, you totally didn't seem to notice either, that in the little message from Leia, you were given left over Empire ships. You gained another ship of the same class as the woman hero (with the gravity well generator), as well as one or 2 of another class. I always think it's super cool when you get free ships of an enemy's class like that! :D

He seems more the type who would have tried to escape off planet by running the blockade... or at the very least, be standing behind his entire ground fighting force, letting them die to protect him!! Galactic Empire => Imperial Navy and Imperial Guard Rebel Alliance => Eldar (raids are Webway attacks) Zahn Consortium => Chaos Space Marines (Corruption, duh) All the neutral pirates can be Ork units. Abandon structures can be Necron structures. Mon Calamari ships make for great Tau ships. Then all we need is the nids. I heard someone made a Yuzzahn Vong mod.

Asia you should add 3 ion cannons on coruscant and that way you can have a faster recharge and will help you defend the plant i have them for my game and it works great.
Want to know what the most OP starfighter is in the game IMO? The TIE Defenders. I'm playing as the Imperials on the GC campaign where you start with just one planet. My force of 5 TIE Defender squadrons took out a light star base, 2 Bothan Cruisers, all of their fighter support, and 2 smaller rebel ships and their fighter support as well. Must have been at least 12 squadrons spawned in from the rebel ships and not to mention all the fighters/bombers coming out of the star base. End result?.......All Rebel ships destroyed and didn't lose a single squadron. They are currently blockading a Rebel planet at the moment. TIE Defenders FTW!
Kessel earn 1600 credit every turn. Bonadan earn 3375 credits every turn. But of course you won't have that if you loose your credits hero to battle. Han solo is great as fleet commander. He can deplete enemy fighter reinforcment, or make the whole enemy fleet angry at him, following him anywhere you want. Pop your fleet behind enemy station, kill it and every ship coming at its defence. Once the enemy lost all its ship, it retreat. You don't have to fight Golans. Wedge only need a fleet of fighter carrier as escort. And from my experience, it don't have engine so no worry about retreating at the very end. If an enemy is stronger, just retreat and repeat. Put him on a front line planet with Ion canon on the ground, and he can def it against anything this way.
In vanilla I would use three commandos to do the attack behind enemy lines thing and destroy buildings. If you put Han in orbit before hand you would also be able to get them in the ground battle. If you used them right you could do a lot of damage, as destroying all defenses on the planet destroys all orbital facilities around the planet.
Earlier today, while I was playing as Pentastar Alignment, I accidentally deployed my main fleet into Thrawn's...as my first battle. I managed to win though, so the Empire of the Hand is no longer a threat to me. All thanks to my pair of Praetor-II Battlecruisers.

Also, a massive force of normal infantry is basically unbeatable unless faced with artillery or anti-infantry turrets/armor. A large group of infantry can take out an AT-AT decently quickly.
In NR fleet the MC 90 is the best serial production capital/carrier ship. Endurance cost too much pop. cap. without justification. On tech 5 you can build 1 Star Defender Viscount (NR SSD). And jedi on Farfin has reveal map ability (aka time limited sensor tower).
I cringed when I saw you let the ISD run into the victory classes and didn't do anything really. :/ You should focus on not losing capital ships because the support ships can be replaced easily... The heros and capital ships are way more important.
From what I see Captain... you may want to consider bringing more of those T3B's, they seem to have weaker armor but those guns on 'em pack a punch from what I've seen the few times you've used them. Maybe balance between the 4-b and the 3-b?
the fighter fleet idea is the worst you could have comed up with. You can have much more fighters on the field by buing capitol ships with large hangars. Also you should conquer all those blocated planets
Shack, you need to pay more attention to the bigger picture and on the battle as a whole, this way you won't lose nearly as many units and won't be losing so many heroes. Also remember to shore up your defences
If you wanna learn more about some of the hand units, read their definitions. Those TIE Defenders are actually called like Nssiss fighters. Some pretty wierd names.
All I will say is you got lucky to have trapped Palpatine on the ground because the Eclipse, the Emperor's custom SSD, had a smaller version of the Death Star super laser which I think one-shots any ship it hits.
one question:i'm replaying this as another version had some weird bug-->going to era 5 and i get more officers, one of which was stuck far north but with no connecting space lanes. right now, i can attack Byss, but if i do, and kill all those space side, namely Pellaeon and a few other command types, even though pellaeon is Era 5....so how do i attack Palps without killing Pell?
Has anyone else had this experience in thrawn's revenge. I'm playing as the new republic at its era 3. You're banging your head against the wall since you know palpatine is in the game. Finally one of your planets is attacked. It's over run and you send your best fleet to engage. You start the battle then immediately crap yourself when you see the eclipse and a superstar destroyer on the field. Also once you destroy the super star destroyer a sovereign class super star destroyer appears.
Shack you just got a second interdictor after defeating the emperor do not waste it like you did the ISD by not paying attention. It is sitting over Byss.
Why have you left Luke on Mon Cal? I'll admit I haven't played this particular mod so maybe he just sucks or something, but at least put him in the army/fleet so you can bring him in if you find a use for him. P.S. Huge fan, love just about everything that you do, especially Empire at War stuff. Keep it up!

You got really lucky, if Palps is in space, he commands the Eclipse, which packs a superlaser, gravity well generators, and the firepower of an SSD, he can tear through entire fleets like they didn't exist.
The ecplipse no need palpatine at its command as i destroyed it at the beginning of era 3 with Palpatine being locked on the ground of Byss almost the whole time (and still as I don't want to trigger any era change yet). And to be honest, the Eclipse wasn't that much of a challenge. In my play through, he attacked me while my fleet was middle of the map. He was already in firing range. I just focused him with absolutly anything, ignoring other destroyer and fighter, not even setting my A-wing on hunt mode. I noticed its front turret going down even before i got curious about how quickly his shield were going down. He had just the time to use his superlaser once, and that was on an assault frigate. Yeah i lost all the frigates i initialy had, but then dealing with its reinforcment alone was super easy as my MCs were already well lined up around the empire spawn. I only lost a couple of them while destroying 10 ISD 2, more than 30 victorySD, and uncoutable numbers of frigates and other support ships. The blue players is much more dangerous with its praetorians. Basicaly, a stack of 10 of them with a few venators cleared one of my fleet, that had like 20 MC80b , 8 MC90 and a couple of Libertyand plenty of lesser ships. This is just unmanageable when you have to deploy the same kind of effort tu put one these thing down while fighting 3 of them at once, to see it spawning back right in your flank or even worse, right behind you.
TonyOneBlairoby I think you were fighting a Sovereign class, they are weaker versions of the Eclipse, since the Eclipse is unique to Palps. The Praetor is the Pentastar Alignment's only (buildable) ship larger than a Deuce, it's kind of weak compared to dreadnaughts, but has increased range, the Imps also get them in era 3. If you think those are bad, next patch adds the Bellator and Secutor class ships, the Bellator is a smaller dreadnaught, and the Secutor is a fleet carrier, like if you smashed a Praetor and Venator together. It also adds the Allegiance class battlecruiser, which is kind of like the Praetor, but I don't have the stats yet to check. I think the Empire of the Hand is also getting a new ship, but I don't know for sure. Oh, and three new factions will be added, should be a fun patch.
so does Luke get a better xwing or upgraded powers when you advance in eras like how some horse get better spaceships? same question applies to han solo I think I heard he gets command of his own bigger ship at se point. of course han is dead so we won't se that....

now that you can just build star destroyers, you know you have to amass a fleet of them, and stick it to admiral thrawn before he becomes a big threat (just the irony alone of a all star destroyer fleet taking on the factions of the empire)
Yea, that ISD was dead once you moved it up and let it's shield get drained. Never rely upon armor in this mod. Once the shields go down, you're on deaths door.
new plan for the rest of the game: build as much endurance-class carriers as you can and wreck enemy space stations and capital ships with your gazzilions of k-wings in no time :D

btw here's some advice. When doing ground raids you have heros you can use like Luke, Lando etc. it will help you defeat the enemy quicker.

Being killed by tanks and artillery is an undignified end for Palpatine. He should have had an epic duel with Luke and maybe Mara Jade.

Shack, you need to pay more attention to the bigger picture and on the battle as a whole, this way you won't lose nearly as many units and won't be losing so many heroes. Also remember to shore up your defences
If you wanna learn more about some of the hand units, read their definitions. Those TIE Defenders are actually called like Nssiss fighters. Some pretty wierd names.

All I will say is you got lucky to have trapped Palpatine on the ground because the Eclipse, the Emperor's custom SSD, had a smaller version of the Death Star super laser which I think one-shots any ship it hits.
It's ironic. You retreated from Telfaglio the first time because you didn't bring a support fleet for bombings/bombardments. Then you did it again XD

one question:i'm replaying this as another version had some weird bug-->going to era 5 and i get more officers, one of which was stuck far north but with no connecting space lanes. right now, i can attack Byss, but if i do, and kill all those space side, namely Pellaeon and a few other command types, even though pellaeon is Era 5....so how do i attack Palps without killing Pell?

Has anyone else had this experience in thrawn's revenge. I'm playing as the new republic at its era 3. You're banging your head against the wall since you know palpatine is in the game. Finally one of your planets is attacked. It's over run and you send your best fleet to engage. You start the battle then immediately crap yourself when you see the eclipse and a superstar destroyer on the field. Also once you destroy the super star destroyer a sovereign class super star destroyer appears.
Shack you just got a second interdictor after defeating the emperor do not waste it like you did the ISD by not paying attention. It is sitting over Byss.
Why have you left Luke on Mon Cal? I'll admit I haven't played this particular mod so maybe he just sucks or something, but at least put him in the army/fleet so you can bring him in if you find a use for him.

What does the icons on the below the name of the planets mean? And why doesnt shack just cap all the back planets, build more ships, and max out planets with mines or structures .-.

I think Daala commands a big black SSD, so you would need to get alot more tanky ships and bombers
You got really lucky, if Palps is in space, he commands the Eclipse, which packs a superlaser, gravity well generators, and the firepower of an SSD, he can tear through entire fleets like they didn't exist.
The ecplipse no need palpatine at its command as i destroyed it at the beginning of era 3 with Palpatine being locked on the ground of Byss almost the whole time (and still as I don't want to trigger any era change yet).
And to be honest, the Eclipse wasn't that much of a challenge. In my play through, he attacked me while my fleet was middle of the map. He was already in firing range. I just focused him with absolutly anything, ignoring other destroyer and fighter, not even setting my A-wing on hunt mode. I noticed its front turret going down even before i got curious about how quickly his shield were going down. He had just the time to use his superlaser once, and that was on an assault frigate.
Yeah i lost all the frigates i initialy had, but then dealing with its reinforcment alone was super easy as my MCs were already well lined up around the empire spawn. I only lost a couple of them while destroying 10 ISD 2, more than 30 victorySD, and uncoutable numbers of frigates and other support ships.
The blue players is much more dangerous with its praetorians. Basicaly, a stack of 10 of them with a few venators cleared one of my fleet, that had like 20 MC80b , 8 MC90 and a couple of Libertyand plenty of lesser ships. This is just unmanageable when you have to deploy the same kind of effort tu put one these thing down while fighting 3 of them at once, to see it spawning back right in your flank or even worse, right behind you.
TonyOneBlairoby I think you were fighting a Sovereign class, they are weaker versions of the Eclipse, since the Eclipse is unique to Palps.
The Praetor is the Pentastar Alignment's only (buildable) ship larger than a Deuce, it's kind of weak compared to dreadnaughts, but has increased range, the Imps also get them in era 3. If you think those are bad, next patch adds the Bellator and Secutor class ships, the Bellator is a smaller dreadnaught, and the Secutor is a fleet carrier, like if you smashed a Praetor and Venator together. It also adds the Allegiance class battlecruiser, which is kind of like the Praetor, but I don't have the stats yet to check. I think the Empire of the Hand is also getting a new ship, but I don't know for sure. Oh, and three new factions will be added, should be a fun patch.
Well thats a good thing then that Palp is stuck on the ground. I will wait and orbital strike his face.

Use the new gunships with the fighter fleet. They are fast, deadly, and is a carrier. Perfect for the job

so does Luke get a better xwing or upgraded powers when you advance in eras like how some horse get better spaceships? same question applies to han solo I think I heard he gets command of his own bigger ship at se point. of course han is dead so we won't se that....
Sometimes they have the same map, weather it be, for space or ground, on multiple planets. Just a few very small color changes or stuff like that.
Also go and look at the tech tree tab, so you can see all the tech for all eras
shack you should go round and do a bunch of ground attacks on the planets u have orbit off and build a crap tone off mines and factories and build a big army

man, the hand and imperial remnant must be slugging it out somewhere, because things are too quiet in regards to enemy fleets
now that you can just build star destroyers, you know you have to amass a fleet of them, and stick it to admiral thrawn before he becomes a big threat (just the irony alone of a all star destroyer fleet taking on the factions of the empire)
Yea, that ISD was dead once you moved it up and let it's shield get drained.
Never rely upon armor in this mod. Once the shields go down, you're on deaths door.
