- we picked this 1971 Chevy C20 up from the nephew of the original owners. According to the 84 year old nephew, the owner's parked it indoors after having a marital argument while camping in Pismo Beach in the mid 70's. They decided that camping in close quarters was not ideal for them. we plan to get this pickup dialed in and back on the road before putting it up for sale. Update, this wonderful truck found a home in Pennsylvania.
How priceless. Nothing feels like home more than what grandmother and granddaddy owned, always kept it clean. I love the "God bless this camper" sign in it, + the fact that it is still in good shape shows indeed God did bless it, and them. Hate to see that generation gone, they were truly of men and women of God.
this camper looks great, seams like there was no watter leakage problem on the roof, cealing was in excelent condition, no watter marks. and the engine sounds great it fired right up!, I would keep it as it just with an LED lights upgrade and maybe a full wire replace.
Arturo, yes she was a well kept "time machine". The person that bought it planned to keep it as is with some small upgrades.
Nice
Considering the recent price trend on old c10 trucks that one should sell for at least $100,000
I had a camper just like that ,that I bought for 200 dollars and I took out the refrigerator and it was VERY heavy !
👍 fine.
Paint is gone. Back when paint was half lead. This has been out doors most of it's life.
Hi Joseph, when the truck was used up until about 1982 it was indeed out doors and at the Pismo beach dunes often( the cause of sand blasted appearance). It was stored indoors after 82 in a warehouse near my shop. Happy holidays.
What's with the camper today, did ya get anything done to it yet?😎🤔✌
A guy bought it and decided to drive it home to Ohio from California a while back. He was planning to keep the camper on the truck.
Is it for sale
Hi Joe, we sold this one to a guy in Pennsylvania.
With all that paint sandblasted off the front bumper, grill and motor swap I'm guessing this truck was driven for at least 10 years maybe more. Titled appropriately "Unbelievable".
In the video I point out that the couple used it for regular trips to camp on Pismo Beach near the sand dunes, thanks for your comment.
