- Surprise! We’re starting a new chapter in the wife scare playbook! We got a great deal on a nice vintage 1966 Cree slide in truck camper! I love old Cab-over campers Dad had a 1973 Dodge 200 with huge cabover when we were kids. I loved the inside with the wood paneling and old style curtains on the windows......old campers felt more " homey"

I really like your camper. I just bought one yesterday for 80 bucks. It needs some work but it's not terrible. Its layout is a lot different than yours. There's no shower/potty, but there will be when I get done remodeling it. The one I bought is 10 ft long, made for an 8-foot truck bed. Has the over the cab full-size bed. The nose has a full wrap around windshield. Wraps around about 8 or 10 in. Its an ARROW brand, which I never heard of before. No idea what year it was made. If I had to guess it be from 70 to 85.
Same stove is yours has. It has a refrigerator, not an icebox. It has some rotted wood in the front and in the back but I'm able to fix that. In fact I look forward to working on it. I just have to find an indoor place to work on it, with winter coming on. There's been so much rain the last 3 or 4 days here in Dayton Ohio I have to wait till next week before the ground where it's at is dry enough to go in and pick it up.
It was children are darlings. They will remember that camper for the rest of their lives. I guarantee it.

Terrific. There are many old truck campers here in BC, Canada. I bought my little one for 300 and have had it three years. These old campers would make a cheap man-cave. Park it in the back yard. The children can play in it and do their homework or have a sleep over. Plug in lights and a radio with an extension cord. A 20 pound propane bottle will last almost a month for the fridge and stove running full time. Pop needs to be cold for those hot days!
That thing must have been stored under cover its whole life to be in that kind of shape.
Was thinking the exact same thing. Especially in Pennsylvania. Most of the time these things are disgusting with mold inside.
A phenomenally lovely family is a great understatement.

Love the camper, but what I love more is how you consistently demonstrate how happiness isn't defined by flashy expensive things. You show how true happiness can be found in simple pleasures. I recently read an article Andrea wrote about her trauma as a youth. The fact that she rose above and beyond that to become an amazing woman, wife and mother speaks volumes, not only about her, but also about the obvious caring and compassionate character of Seth, first as a boyfriend and now as a husband and father. You both demonstrate so many positive qualities the Bible promotes and its obvious you don't blame God for the grief humans caused you. I initially came to watch the scares. Now I come to watch the love

I've been an RV service tech for over 25 years and seen a lot of older truck campers but that one is like a time machine. I doubt if it had very much use looking at the interior. Just be sure to keep the roof well sealed as water leaks are bad news for any RV. Also, have the LP system tested for leaks and proper operating pressure.

This thing is over 50 years old but it looks almost brand new. Very good find! I know I want to build one myself. I think I spoke about it on another video a long time ago. I want mine to use metal and professional grade plastic that uses some interesting origami, interlocking, and sliding compartments so I can fit what you have into a camper shell that is flush with the roof. Can't wait to see all the adventure. You got it cleaned up pretty quickly!

Awesome camper.... my dad had a camper and my sister and I I would be in the camper as dad and mom driving around it was fun.
Score! My aunt had one almost identical when I was a kid. Had a lot of great camping trips with it back in the 70's. Once thing I would do is put an ozone generator in there for about an hour. It will kill and mold/mildew smell and odors.

Haha! We’re in PA. We don’t wear them at home. But they are required when you go out. We try to live as simple and normally as possible even in this crazy time.

Quick question. It looks like a camper for an 8’ bed. Your truck appears to be a 6’. If this is correct, How does the truck handle it? I’m want a 8’ camper but only have a short bed. Thanks
Sure! That is a short bed truck my custom bed does help a little. With the tailgate down it’s 9 feet….however that doesn’t change the axle spacing so it’s not ideal. It’s a heavy truck with the 7.3 up front. The sway bars and air bags help. It handles just fine with the camper installed. I do have an 8’ gmc dually also. That is better but the f250 does just fine.
