Pure art. One of the best performances I've ever seen. "Murder Song" is just shorthand for this song. There is no second song with a similar title. Fun fact: The regular album version was very upbeat and dance-y. The acoustic version was a bonus track on the deluxe version. Soon the acoustic version became THE version, and even the music video is for the acoustic version.
@@SaeedReacts. It's annoying typing out "(5, 4, 3, 2, 1)," so I just always use the shorthand version. 🤷♂ I'm not a huge fan of the original, dance-y version, except live, when Aurora is dancing to it. The acoustic version is so much darker and more intense. It would be cool to see your take on the original, though.
' Murder song ' question : Yes THIS is THAT song There IS also an official video with studio vocals ; which has a calmer feel to it ... Less ' face to face ' first person feel as this live performance
Very nice reaction to this beautiful performance👍 She was very nervous at this concert, her first time performing for such a huge audience❤️ In an interview she said: “Her, she didn't want to be in this world anymore, and she knew that this man would do anything for her. She asks him to kill her and he said: 'OK, I love you, I would do anything for you.' After he killed her, he became sad because she didn't move anymore and he didn't understand where she went. He didn't understand why she left and he start crying. And it is sad, because for the rest of his life, he will not understand and he will be sad." In another interview, she said: "First of all, I have a really vivid imagination. You know that these things may be happening to someone right now. It's kind of a terrifying thought. I just had to get that thought out of my head - and that's why I wrote this song. But the two characters are actually just made up in my head. I've written many songs about them - maybe I'll make a book with them."
This performance was exceptional. I'm not sure I've ever seen an artist embody every single song they sing in the same way Aurora does (see 5:30) You would absolutely love the rendition she does of her song "Runaway" from this same concert
@@SaeedReacts. thanks for you reaction, btw. the song is called 'murder song' and because the label had some concerns, she changed the title to 'murder song (5, 4, 3, 2, 1)'
@@tx0h Yea i also very curious. I usually not a big fan of mixes but this one is... incredible. I can not imagine better original, but it can be also great song (we will see)
Yea. She is very into the songs. She always take my whole attention. My interpetation is also a mercy killing byt there are also different interpetations. Incredible and very emotional song and performance. Today I listen to the new song AURORA - A Soul With No King - Remix (feat. NATURE). Another different face of Aurora music and to be honest I am in love with this song. I also think it is not easy but beautiful and combine so many interesting elements of tribal/folk music, nature sounds and amazing Aurora :). It is also very original and sometimes even a beautiful wall of sounds which somehow hits me inside. I loved it from start but witch each following listen even more:). Part of beautiful initiative too.
Excellent reaction! Yeah, this is a tough one, that's for sure. A beautiful mix of the twisted, darkest dark, and the delivery by a VERY innocent looking young girl with a lot of inner knowledge and understanding, all wrapped in an angel-like vocal delivery. And as always, her lyrics leaves you with a lot of unanswered questions. She will ALWAYS make you think and come up with your own interpretation, which is probably one big reason why she is loved by an audience incredibly vast and diverse. Maybe the least homogeneous fan base that I can think of. I'm of the opinion that ANY art that can make you think and reflect is great art, and of that Aurora is guilty as charged. Much love from Norway ♥♥♥♥♥
I do have a playlist "Aurora Reactions" and there should be 7 video's in it. But i have not reacted to The Seed yet. Hope to get to that one at some point. Thanks. Much love from Belgium.
I don't know if anyone have told you, but Aurora is from Bergen, same as the Ylvisåker brothers. In west Norway. And she and everyone from West Norway pronounce the letter R like the French or the Danish or the German people do. I don't, because I'm from South East in Norway. The guttural R came to Norway back in the year 1700, from the Danish king and his people and today there is 1/8 people using the guttural R in Norway. Also South West Norway use the French R. But then again we have over 1800 dialects in Norway. But we understand each other wery well. I can speak Swedish, Danish, English, a bit German, Spanish and Italian. 👍 Love from Norway 🇳🇴
There must be something in the water there 😄 Thanks for sharing this! Learned a few things! Love it. So many dialects 🤯. That's a lot of languages! I speak 3,5 (Dutch, English, French, Urdu) Much Love from Belgium.
if you liked this version you should check out this song from the nidarosdomen concert. its truly haunting and is so intense. its my favorite version ive ever heard
Great reaction to this mesmerizing song and performance, I also love the faster tempo full band original studio version. Thanks for coming back to Aurora.
Aurora supposedly wrote this song after reading about a man who killed his wife after they discovered that she had an incurable disease that would’ve been very painful for her.
If your looking for a song with 78million views to check out , you can kill 2 birds with one stone and do Rush -Tom Sawyer. Youll get you head banging as well
The song in this version is haunting. Simple and clean. - But there is also a more upbeat version of it and I personally prefer it more. I like the Nobel Prize performances of Aurora but have never found out if I like this annoying butterfly ( Moth ) in her hair. I think it just looks wrong on a young woman like she was at this time. …. But as always a good analysis, thanks for that.
@@lillm6874 She was 19 at this time. Do you remember how you yourself felt this time when "the adults" treated you as if you were 15? It is difficult for me to express myself properly and it is always a balancing act when you come up with your own opinion, when you know that there is a large fanbase standing and reading along, around a topic that relates to Aurora. I personally try to treat all young adults like all other "adults" and especially when I can feel that they are nervous and inexperienced at their job. It just feels strange to see some of the old interviews where some (not all) really talk to her as if she is a small child and are subsequently surprised by the answers she gives which then make them very insecure and helpless. But yes, you're right, she was a teenager at this point 😉
Maybe 😊 It doesn't matter now and it wasn't meant to start a discussion about it now. It's history after all. And as I said, it is difficult for me to express precisely what I mean or think, and especially when it is in a different language than the one I normally speak.😊
I'm not crying, there's something in my eye... Sniff 😢❤

She becomes her songs to the point where she shakes songs out when she is done. Stunning. So young here and her accompanist was perfect.
