It's called knowing your shit. You show respect when someone like this shares good knowledge.

Don't know what any of you are talking about saying he's arrogant. Go watch ANY of his videos: Dave Moss, Catalyst Reaction, OnTheThrottleTV, 2 Clicks Out, any of it. The man knows his shit, shares his knowledge with everyone willing to learn, and it very polite at the same time.
    Dave Moss is the man.

I put 182,000 miles on a 2007 FJR all I had to do was up the rebound damping on the rear shock as time went on it still worked fine no pogoing no wallowing stable smooth. yes, there are better shocks but the FJR handle soo good even with bad shocks. I di change the fork oil when the seals blew out i Put in 2.5 weight oil and readjusted the rebound

I have a 2008 FJR1300AE with 26k on it. I am pretty sure my rear shock needs to be replaced due to its age. I do sport touring on backroads and twisties mostly. Looking for help getting a new rear shock that will not break the bank but will perform well and last. I ride one up normally weighing 285lbs, two panniers and a topcase for the primary load. Any recommendations for a new rear shock?

No, it's called being knowledgeable. I didn't see any arrogance. If you're there to learn about something that's in your benefit and you're ignorant of those facts, you should pay attention. When you're condescending, you tend to put down others with arrogance and rude manners, which I didn't see. When you're CONFIDENT of what you know, it reflects on you, but others see it as arrogance because they don't understand the difference. I know what I know and because I KNOW IT, it makes me confident and self assured and I don't have to apologize for it or be afraid I may "hurt" your sensitivity, THAT is YOUR PROBLEM, Not Mine. Here's an example; I teach Metaphysics and Conceptual Psychology. If I'm teaching and explaining on a certain subject that I know all the facts about and you try to argue my point without having the knowledge to do so, I am going to correct you, but if you're not humble to understand that all I'm doing is relating facts and info to you and you get offended or your 'limited subject intelligence' feels threatened and you expect me to adjust my context on the subject to fit your understanding, No, sorry, I don't have to do so nor humble down so as to not bother your level of intellect, sorry pal, you'll just have to deal with the fact that you don't have an understanding on the issue at hand and you'll have to accept that I have the knowledge and you don't and if you feel offended, tough tits. You can label me as arrogant, condescending or else because you don't know the difference, but I do. So listen, Learn your lesson and move on. Remember, I was where you are now, but I had the sense to admit it, I paid heed to another's wisdom and the rest is history.

He was right , whoever (disappeared) you commented to, he does definitely come
off as being quite arrogant, but the knowledge is there, good, useful info.

Dave did not adjust the rebound damping at the bottom of the fork. This is important.
