It is insane how many teams passed up on Jonas Jerebko even though he was clearly the best prospect since Lebron. The Pistons stole him in 2009 at pick 32 and he has not looked back since. He has carried the Warriors all season and will only get better in the postseason. Kerr held Jerebko out in their losses and look what happens in the Suns game, they got destroyed because he was a DNP due to Coach's decision yet he still did not miss a shot during that game. He is a superstar and will carry the warriors for years to come.

14 players were drafted ahead of him because for every high potential athletic specimen that crushes it, there’s 30 that flop. He was far from a sure thing, and it took him years to hit this level.

His journey to the NBA is amazing. Sure dude is super athletic, genetically gifted but he worked so hard and continues to do so in order to be one of the leagues best.
Giannis is my favorite player right now but to be fair to the teams that didn't draft him he was very raw back in the day and that draft class was a complicated one with lots of different mock drafts. Then Giannis exploded into a superstar. A lot of people didn't see it coming. Props to Bucks scouts that saw his amazing work ethic and potential.

I am so glad Hammond took that risk back in 2013. Giannis is bringing my city to heights that we haven't seen in nearly 50 years. Coupled with the fact that his supporting cast and coach are so solid makes me hopeful for not only this year but the next couple. As well as the Bucks, the Brewers are bringing competitive baseball back to Milwaukee and it makes me so proud to live here.

Honestly speaking he was drafted high considering just how little people knew about him. Not only that it was also very hard to evaluted him becasue he wasn't playing against good competition. Michael John G debatable. Oladipo not being a bust started last season when he became an allstar in indiana last season. Took him 4 years to develop into all star form in a weak east. Mccollum’s been balling good since becoming a starter for the blazers and would be an allstar if he’s in the east.

As a guy who had season tickets for the Bucks until the new building its really nice to see this about Giannis. You focus on the basketball stuff (and you do it well ) but he is such a good guy you anyone would love to have as a kid even without basketball. And no one i know was more sure he was right about his future. I was traveling for work non stop for about 6 months and had little time to read for pleasure so after I heard his name and draft night was the first time I heard his name with a group of people all of who had never heard of him either my statement is thrown in my face every chance they get was when will they learn not to draft skinny WHITE GUYS from Europe followed that up with but if he is any good they will trade him like when they drafted hall of famer Dirk and sent him to Dallas for Robert " tractor " Traylor.
