- Alexander Maltsev shows how he made this award-winning project using Megascans and Cinema 4D, rendered in Octane and composited in Blackmagic Fusion.
In this tutorial, Alexander will share his experience and secrets in how he went about creating this stunning environment - a story he has named Mighty.
The tutorial runs through the process of making Mighty in 10 parts:
1. Concept, idea
2. References
3. Choose colour and gamma
4. Sketch and composition
5. Search and modelling assets
6. Scene optimisation
7. Shading material
8. Lighting and environment
9. Prepare render-passes and rendering
10. Compositing
This tutorial has been translated and dubbed by Wiktor Öhman, Art Lead at Quixel.

This was a pleasure to watch and so inspirational
Mmmmm those shrooms do have juicy colors! Love the diversity in this!
Fantastic tuto ! You really take care of the 3D community guys !
Thank you so much! I love how you explain everything. :) Exactly what I am looking for.
Best Video i seen in 3d ever! I could take it all in! You are great!
Been hoping for this video for some time. Purchased a quixel sub today, then boom, you uploaded this! Thankyou Quixel
Just skimmed through, was hoping for an atlas run through with c4d, as well as a octane script exporter for bridge. Do you rekon these may be visited in the future? Amazing product!
Hi Aaron, happy to hear that you like Megascans! A proper Octane export script is definitely coming. We are working on some more atlas specific tutorials for the future!
Саша, уровень просто космос! Спасибо, что поделился!
This is absolutely unbelievable!!!! 😮😮😮
super nice!
Nice!
Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
very nice Tutorial bro
Holy shit this is one of most ground breaking tutorial I've seen. I had many thoughs about octane in Cinema4D, but now I see that I'm far far away from the limit of this render software.
Also fusion studio looks really nice to do compositing (All hail nodal workflow), maybe a bit more efficient than After Effect ^^.
One more thing, THANK YOU
SUPER NICE!!
Nice! THANK YOU!
Fabulous tutorial really helped thank you
so amazing
Very nice!
great stuff, thx
thanks for translation
thank u helped me a lot

i have no words... amaz- worderf- .. no words...
Believe in yourself, our determination is sotNice tutorialng that never lets us down
cool
Cool! Tutorial on your Cinema 4D functions? The buttons you added, the info on the left etc. Would be nice :)
thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!!!!!!
Megascans is a new site to me. Nice looking scans but can't justify $20 or more a month for textures. May have to start making my own texture maps and selling them haha. As far as this video goes, very nice work and well presented.
Completed ur 500 likes mate
Hope in some more tutorial whit c4d and octane (and of corse megascans/mixer stuff)
I am using Maya and 3D max from v1 back in 90s, but I wish I learn C4D when it's first come, C4D is really the best and it's actually amazing software.
Just download it. You can crack it easily (not that I did that, but it's an option if you don't have money to spend)
hmm
@@TTURBOVOLVO wtf?
@@ThePixelitomedia yeah what?
@@TTURBOVOLVO how your going to use octane on a cracked c4d common get ur shit together
THANK YOU THANK YOU!
GENIAL
Can you share your system specs ? I am building a new PC for graphic design and I am impressed by the realtime nature of your render on Octane. Thank you
can it be done without octane ?? this is awesome
Is this photoshop? I'm sorry I just found this gorgeous channel, and I'm just learning.
No, this is Cinema 4d and I didn't catch the second software he used...
Is there an updated version of IvyGrower and where can you download it?
more complicated one. your lody needs to soft nice. 808(app) should also fit with the lody and the rythm. snare and percussion
Bro UA-cam way to comfy with these double 15 second adds
can we download the prgt?
I really think you should venture off and try to model or learn how to model this stuff by hand. of course sometimes your client will want to avoid all sorts of different copyright laws so sometimes Megascans may not be an option. Plus not to mention octane Displacement would be 2 million times more efficient than having a high poly count object.
almost 2 yrs later still no c4d octane export :(-- quality none the less though!
C4D octane export is available in the Bridge now. :)
When i first time see this, i though its about Octane from Apex Legends
You got bamboozled :3
Im always getting bamboozled by Mirage 😤
Maya + Redshift please!

Can you please make a tutorial on how to work with aliases?
Hi Nick, we will definitely release some more atlas specific tutorials in the future!
Thank you!
This Ivy Grower Plugin is not supported for over 2 years now (last post from the developer is from Aug 2015 where he announced to shut of his page in lack of money). Where did you get yours from (supported by R18)?
Bit late, but as I recall the latest Ivygrower is forward-compatible to R18, even if it was last updated 2015.
有点意思
Why I saw this tutorial translated from Russian to English, if I know Russian? :D
How Scandinavian are you? :D
Hdri file?
What is your pc specs?
he's using octane, he can use multiple cores
@@FakeAre cuda [nvidia GPU] cores though, not CPU cores. Just to be clear :)
How the devil did they manage to create gloss/spec maps from photoscans??
We cant say for sure, but there was a lot of voodoo involved..
I have no doubt ;)
gre8 tutorial but mushroom is looking too artificial.
