At the end of the day both sides of the conversation should agree that the REAL LIFE exploitation of minors is bad and should be punished. As for drawings other mediums based in fiction.... gray ares, context, and community opinion dictates whats alright.
I beleive fiction should be treated as that but if someone is obssessive about it to a creepy degree than they should not complain about having people say they are red flags.

The Tom Brady video isn't even what I would use to say he is a hypocrite (even if i disagree that it being satire means he should get a pass.)
What's actually hypocritical is him owning a sexualised figure of C.C from Code Geass who he even confirms in a video is 16.
Like that one cant just be passed off as a joke so whats he supposed to say to that one?
You have a point there.
That's the thing, it can be. The figure itself *is* the joke. For context hes never watched Code Geass at all(meat actually heavily dislikes anime believe it or not) and he doesn't even know who the character is. The cashier at the store he bought it from had to tell him who it was. The context for it is a whole video he made for Twitter a while ago(like a year or two) where he went to a well known manga nerd store thing that a lot of cosplayers go to. The aim was to act as off-putting and borderline autistic as possible just as a way to take the piss out of himself(he kinda waddles and trundles around, breathing really heavy, he picks up a beastars manga and starts rubbing his cock, etc) and he went up to the cashier and asked for "that statue" and points to it. The cashier had to tell him the name because he didn't know and the cashier herself seems more confused than anything. For context after the video went up the store actually reached out to them to ask if they had done anything to kinda earn his ire and he told them that he actually felt really bad about the joke and he didn't mean to offend them at all if he did it was just to make him look stupid. For further context the only reason this happened at all was a bet between MeatCanyon Hunter and their current organizer/editor for the podcast at the time. Id be able to remember his name any other day considering he was genuinely hilarious but I can't actually remember it atm. I believe he had plans to drill out the statue and turn it into a pencil holder but I think he just kinda forgot.
Tldr. The statue is the joke. He doesn't know who the character is.
@@preachymink9468 Sure, he might not know who the character is but he did make it a point in the video that the character was biologically 16 years old. Even if we assume it's meant to be a joke I don't think most people would consider it the act itself amusing on its own.
Side note as it's not really important but I don't think he heavily dislikes anime, he has a pretty sizeable collection of shonen manga which isn't really something I expect from someone who dislikes the medium.

@@Solar-BladeOh no. He very much dislikes it. Thing is if animated children = cp then what meatcanyon has made is cp regardless of intent.
If a real life child was put into a sexual situation regardless of intent is still bad. So if fiction equates to real life then by his own logic he has created cp.

@@OlDanTucker
Let me rephrase then, animated children in sexual situations. He has no doubt animated such scenes before, regardless of intent if fiction equates to reality then like it would apply to a real child he is by his own logic a creator of cp.
@@legalza0843 Yeah even by that measure it doesn’t hold up he hasn’t produced anything that anyone would qualify as cp has he made content with children in such situations? Yes but no one outside of this conversation would qualify it as cp yet I’m willing to bet my life that If I shown them boku no pico they absolutely would so ultimately there’s more to it than that
While I agree with most of what people are saying here, I do think some of these mishaps happen because everyone has their own idea and limit to how far anime can go for these kind of jokes. Most anime seem to do these jokes because their culture doesn't look at nudity and sexy scenes like Americans do. And when the joke is made, anyone who doesn't agree with it, automatically puts people in a group of criminals. When the US does it, it's not drawn sexually, but are we sure?
The thing that comes to mind is South Park. Is it okay when their kids get involved in sexual situations because they are simply drawn? What about the times when the adult is really detailed? is it still okay because as long as the Kid in the scene isn't sexually drawn, would it still be fine then? When people say "loli" or "lolicon" other people assume their own idea of what's okay and what isn't okay, but don't want to discuss what they watch because they are afraid it would out themselves.

Just because you can't visually see the act doesn't make it OK when he went out of his way with the audio.

If someone draws a real building burning but, you dont see people, is it safe to say he at the very least, hates the building/organization and would be supportive or gleeful in seeing it's destruction come to life?
@@spider-spectre does that make you a watchlist level if you murder someone in a game and get enjoyment from it?
@-spectre That is a very diseingenuous slippery slope your making. I mean you could TECHNICALLY get off to drawings of guys and still be straight if you aren't into guys in real life but you have an attraction towards some animated guys perhaps feminine dudes who look like women.
The rest of the examples you raise are absolute BS. I mean there are ALOT of video game characters who are so disgustingly evil that there is a level of satisfaction in killing them. does that mean I would kill someone in real life just because I killed an unlikeable prick in a game? Also someone drawing people of jewish or black decent as being tortured or killed all depends on the context whether or not the character in question is killed and tortured for specifically racial reasons.
Lastly a real life building burning in a fictional story happens alot more than you think in several well known films, comics, video games, TV etc.

My dude missing the point so hard
It's not projection... it's just pointing out he made something in the past that he should have a problem with by his own standards but he clearly doesn't. If the video was never made nobody would've complained because it is supposed to be comedic or gross out.

At the end of the day meatcanyon's video didn't solve anything or bring actual pdf files to justice.
Vaush, and many others like him, is still a free man, despite his consistent and blatant support of cp. And I find it odd people never went after him until that loli folder was leaked.
Looking back, this was a nothing burger too many people bought just to make themselves look virtuous without actually putting in the effort to combat child exploitation.
Google Main Description Of Loli: *"In Japanese popular culture, lolicon is a genre of fictional media which focuses on young girl characters, particularly in a sexually suggestive or erotic manner"* ( there are multiple definitions of Loli but this is the first one that pop up when you searched *"Loli"* )
MeatCanyon: **made a animation video of Tom Brady making out with his underage son** ( but apparently it's okay because he's making fun of a real life situation by using *"shock value/shock humor/satire"* )

Nuh uh
@@tastydoomtime8890 Damn... Looks like I lost the argument 😔
I'm gonna be honest, this is comparable to furry porn because I genuinely don't give a shit about what someone draws
Take my like, ur sensible 😌
I think this drama is pretty stupid, however I don't understand why people treat loli like it's actual CP when it's literally just fiction. I mean, you don't see people (at least in the current age) say that watching mediums that depict graphic acts of murder and violence is on the same level as actually murdering/killing someone. If loli is morally equivalent to CP, then something like GTA or Manhunt should also be considered morally equivalent to snuff films. Why is it that sexual violence gets demonized (as it rightfully should) but glorifying physical lethal violence gets seen as just "not a big deal"? This selective moral puritanism just irritates the shit out of me sometimes.
I had the same argument and some guy told me because GTA depicts violence and sex is normal it isn't a problem as Loli. Mental gymnastics is crazy.
people get uncomfortable when it comes to things of a sexual nature in general, sexualizing rape fantasy people don't like either. it's just anything sexual that is fiction and uncomfortable is still in the dark ages with the overall world. it's effectively in the same boat as violence used to be, similar to how every single day you would say "video games cause violence" which was always a stupid argument, but back in the day people said it. to me that is where the hypocrisy comes from... i couldn't care less about his edgy videos. but it's the fact all these people talking on the subject about a fictional character archetype being sexualized, are hypocrites because they don't talk the same way about other subjects, we have tons of movies, video games, ect... where you play as "the hero" or watch "the hero" steal, kill, torture, ect... and no one bats an eye.
Bring up manhant was kinda a bad example
there is also a misunderstanding of what loli is... because people falsely claim it has to do with children, the definition of the genre of lolicon has 0 mention of children in it... now there are plenty of children in it sure, but there are plenty of adults as well.. and no i'm not talkinga bout the stupid meme of "9000 year old vampire" kanna kamui a dragon is a child, she thinks and acts like a child... i'm talking about characters like hestia, who is a loli but does not have the body of a child at all, it has nothing to do with body type or age, it has to do with giving characters a young cute appearance and nothing more.
because now that the vaush part of the drama has ran dry the people that were talking about it need something to continue to latch on to.
my personal opinion, i dont like loli too often, but at the end of the day its just fictional content, on the same level as killing an npc (say this cause there are now law makers proposing punishment for killing npcs in games).
for the vaush part the creep has been on record many times defending real cheese pizza vaush had also been on record calling loli cheese pizza and those that consume it pe dos, while the loli isnt real cheese pizza the pictures, and his own words against those, it calls into question what he actual has that we didnt see.
the whole loli is cp thing really reminds me of the people that equate orcs to black people, and groomers to the alphabet people. and religious people who are super anti gay but behind the scenes are full gay, i really dont take it serious especially when those same people will go on to look at adult characters who are undeniably adult characters with no question and call them children , examples being Bayonetta from Bayonetta, tifa from ff7, and eva from steller blade, it doesnt matter if the character is cute, short, and flat, or 7ft, with tits the size of
a head, theyll find a way to call it a child
It's just obvious that the moral outcry about anime is entirely disingenuous and motivated by modern political BS

Because that argument stems from the fact that the weird part is the children. If the intent of the content was so important then the same can be said about cuties. "Oh well, cuties criticized child exploitation so it doesn't matter that it used children". The intention matter right?
Loli hentai is weird, like many things in anime subculture and in p*rn in general. Should it be illegal? No. No it shouldn't. It should also not be equated to actual cp because it's disgusting to actual victims of cp to be compared with drawings in anime style.
The intent of loli is to advertise the sex appeal of literal children. The goal is sexual arousal at the image of KIDS. Why the fuck should that be legal?
Let's talk meatcaynon having kids killed by grotesque monsters
I support th first half, the second part is where it gets messy because sadly, some anime/manga artists, get "real life" references.

My main problem with Meatcanyons video was that he uses alot of bad faith arguements and old debunked talking points like the "five thousand year old" arguement. In his video he says something along the lines of, "if you try and argue against me you are probably a pedo" which is a fallacy and he also asserts that loli content could turn people into pedos which is just the same as the "video games cause violence" arguement that boomers always used back in the day. At the end of the day its all weird, but none of it is real, no one is being harmed, accusing people of pedophilia is very serious and shouldnt be taken so lightly.

There is no excuse for the Tom Brady one. I've seen a few people defend it by saying "it's an animation" which is really hilarious given the whole point of this situation. The Ben 10 is pretty hypocritical in my opinion since Ben and Gwen are literally both 10 and we all know what was said in that video. Also seeing a lot of these comments saying "it's for shock value so it's ok" which really doesn't justify him making those animations and having this claim.
Both of those animations are strange, but you have to understand it's not just shock value, its *satire* going after the fanbases. People have always been weirded out by Tom kissing his son that way, and the ben-10 verse shipping him and gwen together with the odd uncle. Meat makes the animations and pokes fun at said things. It's much different than being a preacher for lolicon which is different from loli due to intent of consumption mind you.
Personally, the only animation that really crossed the line was the brady one, but then again, we've had other creators (logan paul) undress a man in another video and others murder people who actually exist in our reality. Ergo, committing crimes, but nobody bats an eye at it because they know it's satire making fun of current events.
tldr: Satire making fun of events to show how disturbing it is doesn't equate to being openly accepting of lolicon and the sexualization of young people/looking people.
@@futur3ndings651 still don't justify nothing

@@4nero_Dem0n1c He didn't say loli is criminal, but that lolicon is. (Nor the fact that it's not the same standard to be considered hypocrisy.) But to be fair, it
doesn't justify how far he goes in his videos to show that message either.
@futur3ndings651 just because it's satire and for shock value doesn't change the fact he still drew it. He claims it is criminal and comparable to like real stuff that doesn't change anything. That's like saying you can commit a crime but *if* you're joking it's perfectly fine. But here's the thing. Vaush, which seems to be the whole reason he made that video, openly supported "cod points" but as soon as he has drawings in his folder it's suddenly a big deal. Meatcanyon is 100% just doing this just for views, clout, and to look morally superior. The funny thing was VAUSH WAS AGAINST LOLI. He called other people crimals to deflect what he was actually into. EDP was against loli, he called other people criminals to deflect what he was actually into. @@futur3ndings651 that does not change anything whatsoever your just twisting the logic and still end up wrong if you call someone a criminal over the product they consume then that product is thereby illegal since that's the only part you accuse them off with zero proof whatsoever

Who do I even side with anymore? Schizophrenics who can't distinguish fiction from reality and advocate for DrawingRightsMatterTM or look uncomfortable trying to tell people what does and doesn't implicate you when it comes to fiction?
The problem that people like RevSaysDesu see at large in Twitter spaces is that they usually have public likes or evidence that they also like loli while also calling out loli. Vaush is another recent example.
Before I go on, loli seems to be a very urky jerky phrase. We all know that anime has a ton of joke scenes or characters that are either teachers in their 40s, kids who have had their growth stunted coincidentally around the time where Asians typically stop aging after receiving their growth spirt at 15 and prune at 55, or characters that are simply fantasy. I won't hide from the fact that doujins just have straight up kids, and I won't hide from the fact that I consume this content, but at the end of the day, how is this an implication of someone's character and how is it any weirder than people who hated how Rockstar's Manhunt got lambasted by media and censors from different countries? They're interactive mediums depicting morally dubious acts that people directly interact with be it using a virtual or analog medium. You can like anything you want, but just realize that if you ever advocate for abolishing certain things, you need to make sure that you private your Twitter likes and fiction is not reality.
The satire is all for naught when you use real people. I will say that Rev's other clips were not exactly good homerunners, but can you really blame a guy who constantly calls out Twitter hypocrites soley through just showing people their public likes?
"how is this an implication of someone's character"

Rev has a point too.
He just points out common hypocrisy.
@@AlecMeyer94 I know. I've written this. While the other clips are clearly something that he'd defend since it's literally satire, it's still an innuendo. The satire is still all for naught when he uses portrayals of actual figures in this manner.
Right like where do we draw the line on this shit man I get that people dont consume the content itself and thats a fine thing to say I have no problem with that but if you are comparing anime girls to fuckin kids man then yes there is something wrong with you cause you cannot compare a fictional child to a real one its just impossible to to do cause anime characters have features that are unrealistic in the real world that even adults don't have its really ridiculous to say. Also to point out why rev goes on Twitter to call out people like this because he goes over a real issue with this which "this type of thinking will lead to real predators getting away with crimes" which is very true thing that happens on Twitter a lot because people call out anime shit but then turn a blind eye when it comes to the real deal edp and the likes are public thing is because people call out liking anime girls but then said anime girls is in there likes and then doubling down by being in denial of the fact they liked it and therefore have no opinion on the matter because the of the fact they are telling people that aren't supposed to like it because they said so its like a person telling you to stop watching something because it's bad but then here they go liking it themselves he also does tackle real life situations too and yes they may involve twitter but they are real situations regardless of the use of social media.

I noticed a lot of people are attacking him instead of his points for the most part. It’s weird. Even then, let’s say “yeah, Meat is a hypocritical piece of crap [take the Tom Brady animation].” Does that make his point wrong necessarily?
It’s like the EDP situation. He was caught red handed, but iirc, the guy who caught him initially was also a piece of crap. Even so, it would be dumb to use that as a way to look past the main issue that EDP was grooming a kid. Just like it would be kind of dumb to disregard arguments on the basis of a guy being a POS if the arguments are based in reality. You can hate the guy, but he’s right (for the most part). There’s a lot of moving parts and I’ll say there are some things I disagree with or have a slightly different view on.
Intent matters. And while I’m usually in the side of “screw walking on egg shells”, stuff like this should be tiptoed around a little.
Calling out hypocrisy is important to things are equal and one argues one of them is bad he should think the other is bad, it doesn’t mean either of the things are or are not bad, but consistency is important for your argument to hold more weight.

If lolis is cp then so is the animations meat canyon made and the whole "They are different because of the intent is different!" Is BS because when it comes to CP intent doesnt matter. Cuties was made to shock people and bring awareness but at the end of the day they used real kids and sexualized them. At the end of the day meat canyon animated Tom Brady and his child making out thus sexualizing them (again intent doesn't matter), he sexualized minors in cartoons constantly (which doesn't matter but if sexualizing lolis is bad then the animations he did is also bad, doesn't matter the intent and if people don't actually walk off to it.)

It is irrational to say “this form of art is okay because it’s actually meant to be comedy” as that would all be up to one’s interpretation at that point, and who has the say on what is and isn’t “comedy”? The government could then ban things that they don’t consider “comedic” and start censoring things they don’t approve of…The bottom line, really, is you cannot have your cake and eat it, too. You must establish that ALL depictions of minors being sexualized is bad or not. I would also argue that MC animating Tom Brady’s actual son making out with his father transcends the realm of comedy and becomes actual pedophilic content because it’s depicting an actual minor and not a fictional shota character that doesn’t exist. The trauma and bullying that boy must experience is probably extremely scarring, so it’s sad you are glossing over this fact just because it is meant to be “comedic”. I am not going to argue that sexualizing lolis is not morally bad, but this argument that it is harmful to society is so disingenuous when that same argument can be applied to violence or promiscuity or anything obscene or degenerate. If content is designed for adults, it is the adult’s responsibility to not act upon what they consume. If an adult does, it is not the content’s fault but that individual’s fault. If we are going to start policing creativity, then it should apply to EVERYONE, including things that are labeled as comedy.
Great comment, I totally agree. Perverts have been disguising weird fetish content as “comedy” for ages so the stated intent seems almost immaterial to me here.
Sure, it’s less weird to do it for comedic reasons, but if we’re trying to have cultural rules for what’s accepted, we have to be consistent.
You cant have it both ways either all fiction is fine or none of it is fine. if you don't like loli's or lolicons thats fine but you cant defend meat canyon doing the same thing because it's a joke. he's doing the same thing. meat canon sexulized fictinoal minors for a joke while loli content is for sexual fantasy. if neither harm anyone in the making of it and dont represent a real person then their should be no issue. we dont call people with rape fantasy rapist or wanna be raped so why should we call meat a pedo hypocrite or lolicons pedos for making/ liking those types of content.
Lolicon is actual sexual images of kids that is trying to turn the viewer on.
Meatcanyon has never made an animation that tries to make the viewer turned on by kids.
@@HappySuperFaceAnd shoter games try to excite people for kiling people you argument is dumb
@@HappySuperFace So by your logic violent media is stimulating the act of

Note: the OG Tom Brady vid can be searched on Meats video still
I feel there's a difference between MeatCanyon's more questionable videos, and the content that he's specifically referring to. Were some of those MeatCanyon videos weird and disturbing? Yes. Did it graphically sexualize children like some other content does? No. But it does make you wonder what MeatCanyon's response will eventually be to the backlash.
I'm pretty sure rev knows that his videos are satire but doesn't want to admit to it or his fans might turn on him or something
@@AslgamingOffical I hope so. But Rev sounded incredibly frustrated in his response. I like the guy, but the lengths he goes to defend this stuff is weird.
@AslgamingOffical oh pfft nah, Rev is clinically absurd loli apologist. Every single time someone says loli is bad he white knights it. I mean can you be surprised? The grown guy dresses up as a loli. His fans are the same where they’ll wank to loli and then just say “it is just a picture” and so. If there is one thing people will get heated on the internet, is their kink/fetish being shamed.
@@AslgamingOfficalRev always was a weirdo, not to mention he, alongside Hero Hei, are notorious for making 10 minute vids on random-ass topics. So him being so mad over Meatcanyon's take on lolicon is a bit weird. Like, loli content, if just in normal situations, cool no biggie. Its only then if its in weirdass sexual scenarios where im like "nah, not for me," though Rev seems to die on this weird hill about lolis.

The fact that there's even a debate about this just shows how people shut off their brains and don't even try to use it.
right literally loli means sexually alluring girl

No, he isn't sexually attracted to children. He's making jokes that aren't even that bad.
@@VeritasValor Doesn’t matter if he’s attracted to them or not. He made animations of children in sexual situations. He’s a hypocrite.
