If i was a lady bird; I'd be unimpressed, turned off, perhaps even frightened of him. Those are dangerous noises, not bird words! 😰

That is so insane. The thing literally "records" things it hears and plays them back with it's voice. You can hear the ambient sounds that were present in the environment of the sounds it "records," including the reverberation/echos of the sounds, as they were at the time.
Their brains have some really strong connections, amazing what sexual strategies can do a species.
They can mimic anything, but never learned to talk....These guys have an amazing tail, rivalling the peacock. This one, with a small tail is obviously a youngster, but he's certainly an accomplished mimic.

I was at this place some years ago and I was walking up some stairs and a childs voice said " get out of my way" looked around and it was a magpie telling me to get out of its way, the place is full of wonders well worth a visit.
