"I stand before you to ask you if you would honor me with the greatest rank of all: that of your loving husband." THAT. That is how you propose. Freaking beautiful.
@@susanfirth9883 His character was clearly inspired by Colonel Brandon. Men of integrity and honor. Not behaving like Lennox with his Mr. Whickham vibes.
I love how he takes the risk/leap of faith to resign his commission BEFORE he proposes. Without knowing (but hoping) how things would go, without FIRM plans, he leaps, and surrenders to her
In turn, she embraces him when he does not have a clear picture of his future which proves she wants him no matter what future he has. Unlike Kitty and Lydia in "Pride and Prejudice", Allison was not just dazzled by a man in uniform or the social position of an officer's wife.
I was so giddy during this whole exchange. The way she laughed when he said he's from a family of farmers, and he asked why that's funny was so sunshiney pure ☀️💛. I love their story 💞💞💞
YAY!! I squealed during this scene in happiness. I grew to really love Alison and Fraser this season. They compliment each other so well. Now to get Charlotte and Alexander hopefully back together in season 3.
The way they hug each other though . . . So sweet! Kind of mad at the family for bursting in and not letting it last a few more hours. Literally so happy for Alison and Fraser. I don't know what I'm going to do without them every Monday. I really, really, really hope they're in season three, at least now and again.
I love Arthur's presence in this scene! Comic relief is great! The whole gang listening behind the door makes this happy scene all the more special! Proposals don't get any better than this. Great writing! Sweet, sweet Fraser. I think this couple has stolen the show this season!!!!
Swooning here. I must watch this over and over and over again. Great, great writing!! And acting. They wrote the two characters so that they would be perfect for each other. I.LOVE.IT.!!!
Susan, you are a magician 💕 this scene was so beautiful and so worthy of the two of them!!! They’re so well-matched and equally giddy in love. It almost made up for all the Heywood/Colbourne pain, ALMOST 😅
Everyone listening at the door was so darn cute.... Fraser had Allison figured before he fell for her ...I hope they are in next season at leat a little, unless they write them off to Ireland
the way mary says “THOMAS” took me out, and how everyone else just ducks out of the room too 😂 i was watching this in my room at 2 am silently SCREAMING at this part!! it’s just sooo cute 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Same!!!! Not being a female that belittles another, but Alison is the lucky one here. Fraser is so attentive and cared to know her and her heart well ❤️
What a wonderful love story and perfectly orchestrated acting, wonderful chemistry. The scene is a guarantee for joyful smiles to every romantic heart. As a fellow Sanditon fan, thank you Ms. Firth for sharing this clip. Love in the air this spring. 💕💋🌸
Looks like the viewers have competition in who are the bigger Alison/Fraser shippers from the Parker family. All of them straining against the door trying to hear cracked me up.
What I love about this scene is that they both make clear they want each other before the proposal: Alison with her comment about "farmers' wives" and Frazer by being there again and resigning his commission. And yet they still manage to tease each other affectionately. It's beautifully written and wonderfully acted. This couple and their story were, for me, the highlight of Season 2.
Susan….thank you so much for sharing these! I have been bereft that I did not get PBS Passport but at this point did not seem like appropriate use of funds. Lol So appreciate I get these wonderful moments now! What about Esther?
Susan, you are working so hard at the Esther clips. Did you get any sleep last night????? Thanks again. I am looking forward to S3 and will watch your clips and still read all the comments for theories and spoilers! I hope for those that think the show couldn’t go on without Theo James or that it wasn’t Jane Austen enough, I hope they can give season 2 a chance. It was a great comeback considering all the hurdles thrown at them.

Wasn't it the BEST?? Fraser definitely stepped up when the time came ❤️❤️

😍😍😍😍
These two stole the show! 😍 Her giggling learning he is a farmer. His comment about presumption. 😂
The actor who plays Fraser is just so darn cute!
I'm dying...they. are. all. at. the. door lol and finally a good soldier hurrah!!!

The way she said "a hundred thousand times yes" immediately took me back to how Jane said "a million time yes", or something like that, to Bingley ❤️
Yes!! Me too! Which leads me to believe they are pointing to a Darcy/Elizabeth ending for Heybourne 🥰🥰
Me too!!!
@@susanfirth9883 exactly!
Not to mention the others are all listening at the door! Much like the Bennets in the 2005 P&P adaptation.

The hug undid me! Absolute perfection, love how they we’re friends first. They will have a long happy marriage I think.
Oh, my. The romance in this scene is palpable and joyous.

I agree. They were the best part of Season 2. Absolutely loved them! And this scene was so sweet.
i agree with you , for me Arthur looks the only sain one ! he is lovely and he wants to build a Theater ,more interesting than a barracks !!!

awwwwwwesome. So happy for Fraser's happy ending!!!! He was just too sweet not to have a happy ending!

They are part of the cast for Season 3 according to IMDb.
@@soniaflores5761 I hope so! I can't find anything out about the season 3 cast :(
The only two that are not coming back are Esther and Lennox.

I love this scene. Such a feel good moment for (almost) all of my favourite characters.

Loved these two - such a special scene. It brought tears to me eyes - they are so sweet together! And that was an awesome proposal!💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💥💥💥💥💥
This was the best scene all season, I am so happy at least these two characters get a happy conclusion to their love story.
His proposal is so unique. Great writing here.
This was perfect!
I just adore them so much! Can't wait for Season 3-hoping we get to see them in their married life.
At least something of season 2 brought closure.

Finally, something very good 😊 very good indeed ❣️ #Sanditon2
Yes it is coming to gether
Loved this scene! 💕💕💕💕💕💕
Something about the leading men with Jane Austen at the helm; such delicious proposals from Fraser, Bingley and Darcy

I’ll be putting together Esther’s story soon. It’s hard for me because I can hardly stand to look at Edward, but I’ll get it done 😂

Tom has a heck ofa time keeping the men away from his door
Glad these two got a happy ending 💝💒
Frazer could write a book about his account of what happened at Bridasoa. That should bring an income.
Great idea! ❤️
He should play William on Outlander
